Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Finally found where they kept those mario dsi xl bundles. If you guys don't see them in the clearance section check where they keep the 3ds. Thats where I found a couple of those dsi bundles marked down. :applause:
I also saw ds lite for $64.98 but still bought the mario bundle

Oh- i was just joking about the guy that came in here a few months ago and said he was going to tape a copy of MvC3:SE under the counter so he could come back and get it once it went on clearance.
 
I saw maybe 5 games across 2 Targets today on clearance. However, saw a ton of other stuff like 120 and 250GB Ps3s and DS's. Might have to keep an eye on the PS3s to replace my launch 60gb
 
I mentioned these a while ago, but you guys may also want to keep an eye out for these two PS3 models IF you can find them in store. They had the NCF tags on the shelf for them when I was there 2-3 weeks ago. Both tags and systems have since disappeared at my one Target store.

Call Target, dial 0 to get store operator or CSR, say you have a DPCI # and would like a price for the item. They should be able to tell you if they have any according to the system too. If they want to confirm by contacting the electronics department just hang up when they try to connect you so you don't "tip off" anybody.

With all the $50 gift card and bundle deals for PS3, those prices aren't really much better than amazon for those with tax. Would have to drop more to be worthwhile.

Now I'm glad I didn't bite on mario super sluggers at $35 from last month. It will be a $20 re-released title soon.
 
It makes sense the "silver" (are these the same as "white"?) DSi's would be cut as the "white" DSi's went to $129 April 1st. Plus I bought a white DSi 2 weeks ago for $129 after waiting forever for a sale. Wonder if I could return it?

NVM, my DSi says WHITE right on the box.

Do you have the DPCI? I bought a used one on eBay. Would really like a new one instead.

All I found yesterday at Target was Alice marked down to 4.95. The projectors are still expensive, so I passed on that one.

anyone know why the silver ds lite is so cheap? Is there something wrong with the silver model? I dont get why just that one is marked down so cheap. I was thinking of getting it as a backup system or something but im really wondering why its so cheap

Replace the DPCI in the url with the one you want(don't forget to use dashes between the numbers), hit enter, then enter your zip code where it should go and hit enter again and it should pop up the results for your closest stores.
 
How often is the inventory tracker updated?

I think Target just randomly decides what to clearance out. Remember, they did a temporary price drop on only the white DSi. I think the silver DSLite is one of the colors that wasn't released recently. The blue/black and red/black are the more recent colors.

Ah thanks, so you hit enter twice then? Still not showing in stock but at least one place is far away. Odd thing is apparently I've never been doing it right but stuff has shown in stock before and has been confirmed by the in store scanner as well.

The first time, hit enter in the address bar. That is, reload the website completely using the modified URL. THEN, type in your zip code and click the "enter" box on the form. That way, it'll search your local stores for the correct product. Make sense?
 
Just curious does anyone know off the top of their head the lowest reported finding of a Nintendo DS? 50% off? 75% off?

Hell yea, this is what I'm checking the thread for. I saw one for $90, but I'd be ecstatic for find one for $45.
 
The DS I bought yesterday was at 50% off, and it had stickers on it from both the 15% and 30% price points. So, that 50% price is most likely the lowest it will drop.

When I went to get a DSi XL Mario Kart Bundle they were in stock but couldn't be found. The guy took my name and number down and told me he would call me if they found it. About 5 minutes after leaving my phone rings and the guy told me they found it. They were put behind the TV's in the back room. That was the best customer service I ever had at Target.
 
Found a couple of those projectors today still at $90, but one of the Targets I went to had a regular PS2 (207-11-0005) marked at $88.xx or so. I punched in the DCPI and the item was not found. What was the lowest price these have been reported to be? I plan on going back to get a price check on it, any suggestions if the item is still not found in their system?

My recommendation? Print out the UPC barcode for it (711719770602, I think) and use one of the price scanners in Target so you'll know for sure its price.
 
When out of the system, they will likely only sell it for the labeled price. Some have reported that more knowledgeable employees can look up the last sold price and can sell at that if it's lower. But whenever I've tried that, the cashier doesn't have a clue and just honors the red tag after not being able to pull anything up on the register.

Have been checking 4 stores around here. Not a single PS3 or 360 on clearance for the last few weeks. All I see are Wii and DS junks.

I wonder what's going on.

True. Punched in the DCPI for PS2 at Target last week and it came up as "item not found". They were last in the store at $49.98 about 3 weeks ago.
 
There was a 3D Blu Ray player I was following about a month ago, and it only went to 50% before it dropped out of the system, so it's not unprecedented by any means. They might have agreements with certain manufacturers that place restrictions on how far they can discount their merchandise, even in the clearance phases.

If they don't know how to then just go to the Customer Service desk. I've had them look up last sold price a couple times now.
