Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

After several weeks of nothing, I was thrilled to see the Blue Springs, MO Target had a bunch of games like some of your all posts were suggesting.

Unfortunately, every single title was about ~$5 more than what everyone else is posting. Was thrilled to see Vanquish; but ended up walking away since it was still $20 and not $15. Yeah, it's only $5; but I just can't be as happy when I know others are paying 25% less.

In vegas. Target at rampart and charleston has Vanquish at $14.98(is this game any good).
Also, Avatar for 360 at $4.98.
(I know this game sucks from some reviews i've seen but is the game worth picking up even at that price?
 
I saw LOTR Aragorn's Quest (DS) but I forgot the price. Also found vanilla BC2 for 360. I know Kung Fu Rider is god awful, but I'll "ride" it out to see if it can hit 4.98 so I can buy it for the lulz.
 
yup looks like targets got some ok clearance stuff again finally. I found a copy of Vanquish as some others have for 15 bucks. Everything else was shovelware and crappy games like monopoly =P

Wow, Target clearance came back. Good news for me, bad news for my wallet.

I found :ps3: The Sly Collection for $14.98 and :360: MvC 3 SE for $34.98 (spider wrap damaged coverslip, but oh well). Both did not have the clearance stickers on them so make sure to punch in the DCPI in-store to double check the prices.

Sly Cooper came into my store today at $20.98. We only had 2 copies, and all Targets in the area had about that many. I figured it wouldn't hit the $14.98, so I bit on it.

Also, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (360) went back on Clearance, but it's at $34.98. Maybe this time I'll be able to grab it at $12.48
 
I just returned from Target and bought MVC3 SE for $34 and buzz world w/4 buzzers for $13. They had a crap load of games that they were putting on clearance. Off the top of my head, I remember seeing:

and a bunch of others. I also saw 2 of the acer netbooks on clearance for $211. This was at the Houston Target on BW8 near blackhawk.

I tried this but was denied. Did you need a manager override? The guy scanned the PS3 then scanned my coupon and nothing happened.

Yes a manger has to override it. Here is my post from the other thread:

Ah, I see. Thanks. It took the guy 10-15 minutes before he even helped me over in electronics. He obviously did not want to be there. Plus, the box looked like it may have been resealed.

I haven't really used this thread but was wondering if someone could just give me an idea of how to figure out which store has a game I want that is clearanced so I don't have to drive out and waste valuable gas to find its not there...or is there no way?

Having a tough time deciphering how to do this unless its just take a game that you want and go to the scanner and just do it there....sorry if not the right place to ask.

Saw basically everything everyone else has been seeing at my Target. Sly was 22.XX. They had Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 for 12.48. A ton of other random games, but nothing that was incredibly notable. I decided to pass on Sly, as 14 is really my sweet spot for that game, especially since I've played the originals.

On another note, the TV's continue to drop. At this point, they may fall into my price range :D.
 
My brother had a rare day off and joined me on my suburban target trek today. The guy made out pretty good, he grabbed a MvsC3 at 34.98, saints row 2-pack at 14.98 and vanquish at 14.98, all xbox. I carried around a Sly Cooper in the store but ended up passing at 20.98, I think that one needs one more drop for me to hit(although they only had 1 so I'm sure I blew my chance). Thought about monopoly at 19.98(ps3 was 27.98 instead?) also but I'm very sure I need that cheaper too. All in all, it was a refreshing resurgence to the dormant clearance cap lately, as a ton of the other games you guys have been spotting were there too. Unfortunately the 250GB's ps3's I saw last week at 244.xx were gone to stack with the gift card thing(I'm looking at you slowdive lol) but I think my bro is waiting till E3 for a potential price drop anyway to stack with the gift card, if he even decides to get one.
 
Sly Cooper was 14.xx at my store not $20. As for the rest it's basically the same stuff that others have been reporting. I'd bite on Vanquish for $10 but not $15...

I just picked up the Sly collection for $14.98, the only other thing they had was Vanquish for $14.98. I've been looking for Sly though so I am glad I decided to swing by Target.

I only bought one 250 GB. :D (and 1 160GB, so I left 5 of them at one location). I am going to let my brother choose the one he wants to keep and I'll probably take the other one or dump it. After I bought the 250 GB the manager said "We will only take the coupons on the 160 GB for now on" to the employee. That sucks because I was going to get the 120 GB since it is basically $100 after GC.
 
I was amazed at how many clearance games I actually saw at the Target here in Hawaii.

They had over 80 games at the clearance section (a lot of games had 10 of each lol).

Wow. People are starting to find all kinds of things again. I hope it's just not getting my hopes up. I hope I have good news to share with you tomorrow.
 
Has anyone else noticed these games show up out of nowhere at 50% off? One store had a cart full of games that were already 50% off on Monday that hadn't even been on the shelf. There have also been Greatest Hits shelf by the computer games with 19.99 games. I though GH titles were $29.99 on Ps3 (like uncharted GOTY), but some must be 19.99.
 
lucky me, right when I got to the clearance section an employee walked up to me cart full of clearance games but only thing I grabbed was a lone copy of mvc3 ce for 360 non spider wrapped.
If anyone wants to trade for ps3 version of mvc3 ce (sealed) pm me

Yeah, the store I hit today had all new drops this week, and a good half at least started at 50, some at 30. I wish the Sly I saw started at 50, like a good deal of you guys found, but not at this store. In fact, some of these games haven't even been in stock at this store the last couple months(like MvsC3 SE), yet are now at half off. I love it when Target does that with SE's. Also I've noticed the 19.99 360/PS3 games by the PC section too. I'll wait for those to move down the aisle to the endcap though. ;)

LAME went back to Target today to get the sly collection but for some friggin reason its 21 bucks there, not the 14.99 that everyone else is finding it for =( Kinda pisses me off. I asked the guy what the deal was and he said the prices vary from store to store, to check back next week to see if it would drop.

Isn't there a way for them to scan it down right then and there? I recall hearing about people having the 'morning crew' scan stuff to drop it. if not, what day should i go back and check on it? They had like 3 copies left

They did have a copy of Resistance 2 for 9.99 that i considered picking up but i already have a copy so i didn't see the point. I guess it may have been worth it to sell it or something. It was a black label version

That green DS Light bundle with the cooking instruction game was in a clearance pile at a Target that I don't normally frequent, but it was the 15% off mark (of like 128). I kind of wanted it, but figured that 128 bucks is too much for a DS Lite when you can get 160 gig PS3s for 140 bucks right now :)

I also totally boofed and didn't write the number down (probably not important though, since I'd read that these were clearanced out a long time ago -- actually it was kind of odd that they still had them and they were still only at 15% at this point). First time I've wanted to put a clearance item over in sporting goods or something, though, so maybe I want it more than I'm willing to admit.

EDIT: Sly collection was still 21 bucks there too. Maybe they just started clearancing stuff. It was a really rough target. They also had about 45 copies of "Naughty Bear" -- what the hell.

If I wanted to use this to search for the PS3 version would I just replace the "B004BWKRXS" with the ps3 ASIN? Do I need to change the DPCI number in the address as well?

The old way of changing the address from the target site doesn't seem to work anymore. I always get some message that their locator is not working and that it will be fixed soon.

Edit: Seems like you need the DPCI. Anyone have the DPCI for MvC3 SE (PS3)? Thanks!!
