Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Picked up:

LOTR: Aragorn's Quest DS - $4.98

Everything else was still at 50% off. I wouldn't mind finding Alan Wake for $9.98. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Sort of excited, I get to check out two new Targets tomorrow up near Philly! Going up there to do the Warrior Dash and my family is coming with me (Wife and two baby Boys) and we're staying with my Aunt. She says she finds good deals all the time and usually says she sees gaming stuff there when I mention it.

Nothing new at my Target. Saw the following:

:360:
Vanquish - $14.98
Madden 10 - $14.98
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - $14.98

:ps3:
X-Men Origins Wolverine - $19.98 (About a dozen or so of these)

Didn't pick up anything.
Anyone think the Acer will go lower than $174?
Target's original price was $279.99, so it should bottom out at $140 since it followed the 15-30-50% off schedule.

I was hoping to find a copy of Sly Collection for $15, but had no luck all day. Oh well, I did manage to pick up 4 6pk of Heineken Dark Beer for $1.9X each.

280? I thought it was 250.
can anyone give me the DPCI of MVC3 for Ps3 ? couldnt find it in OP :(
PS3 MvC3 DPCI: 207 24 1008 . Thanks 'HandsomePete' for giving me that!

When I asked about it, the guy at Target said it's a 'bundle'(or something like that), so I didn't add it to the OP, as I know nothing about it except...the game 'only' is on sale for $47 and the bundle(or whatever) is $69.99 at the stores I've tried.
I was hoping to find a copy of Sly Collection for $15, but had no luck all day. Oh well, I did manage to pick up 4 6pk of Heineken Dark Beer for $1.9X each.
Good deal on the beer. Was it tasty?

On another note, any more info on the B1G1 50% off games deal starting Sunday? Planning on a return rebuy if its all games including clearance.
280? I thought it was 250.
My bad, should hit $125 then...either way, it should drop once more before salvage.

I am quite lucky today. Saw a copy of Vanquish (360) 2 weeks ago at $20.98, I didn't bite and it was still there today, rang up for $7.48. Scored!
I found a copy of Monkey King: The Legend Continues (Wii) for $3.74, but that was the only notable drop since last week.
Holy snap I still got the legend begin for the same price sealed from last year

Yeah it's pretty good and strong too. It has a similar taste like Guinness.

Guinness sold in the U.S. is made in Nigeria, didn't know this until recently.

So was there a sticker that says $7.48 or did it show $20 but rang up $7.48? I was wondering if some of the clearance games are actually lower in price but the employees simply just didn't change the sticker. Either way, I will be checking out Target and TRU tomorrow for their B1G1 50/40% off. hehe
Sort of excited, I get to check out two new Targets tomorrow up near Philly! Going up there to do the Warrior Dash and my family is coming with me (Wife and two baby Boys) and we're staying with my Aunt. I would also like to know where near Philly (not that it really matters, just curious, haha). I normally just check out the South Philly Target. It has been barren lately for clearance games. But when clearance games do appear, they disappear just as fast.

Found a Madden '10 for Xbox for $7.xx hidden behind some large boxes in the clearance end cap. Didn't get it, but did liberate it.

It's always worth checking the prices or using the scanners at the end of aisles. Sometimes prices will lower without the sticker getting changed.

Just got back from the Target off of Coleman Ave. in San Jose. Damn Bayonetta is still $41.98, but there were some new additions. Three copies of X-Men Origins: Wolverine for PS3 at $19.98 and two copies of NBA 2k10 for PS3 for $9.98.

Also, theyre not on clearance, but over by the PC games theres a selection of PS3 games that are down to $19.99. I recall Resistance 2 and Blur specifically, but there were a couple other GH titles mixed in.

The X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is that the Uncaged edition? I've seen them at my store for $20.98. From what I read the "Uncaged Edition" has more gore than the regular version. For anyone that has played it, is it worth looking at?

The PS3 and 360 versions are ALL Uncaged Editions. its really just a label to separate them from the Wii version.
And yes, the Uncaged Editions really is gory as hell. Not only that, but its a great game. If youre into God Of War or you just really wanna see Wolverine do what Wolverine would REALLY do in real life, like chop off legs and heads, this is probably the game for you.

They didn't put a new sticker in (otherwise it would have been gone, this is a super busy store in Brooklyn), I scanned it just to see.

I knew that must be why my stores show new stock of resistance 2 but I never find it. They must be waiting to put it into that $20 section. People here have been finding it for $5 making me mad.

For those hoping to use the B1G1 50% sale on clearance, the ad says "choose from over 100 titles", not for every game. So probably no go on clearance.

Thanks for the imput. I passed on this title during a Blockbuster BOGO sale because movie titles are usually garbage. If you say this one is good I might bite....after another drop of course!
PS3 MvC3 DPCI: 207 24 1008 . Thanks 'HandsomePete' for giving me that!

When I asked about it, the guy at Target said it's a 'bundle'(or something like that), so I didn't add it to the OP, as I know nothing about it except...the game 'only' is on sale for $47 and the bundle(or whatever) is $69.99 at the stores I've tried.
thanks!

I understand that we can use the DCPI and print it out to bring it to the Target store scanners, but how do we exactly print it (to convert it to barcodes?)

Thanks!

The instructions are in the OP. If your Target has newer scanners, you can just punch in the DPCI. If you want to print the barcode, do a google search (example: Killzone 3 UPC). Copy the UPC to the search in this
Has anyone tried the BOGO 50% on clearance games yet?
someone mentioned trying it in the other thread it was a no-go.

Found a copy of Battlefield Bad Company 2 for the PS3 in Columbia, MD. Do not recall the price, but it was never there before. Only if Monopoly would drop. It's still $19.xx here, so wouldn't exactly be worth it when it's trading for $20 on Amazon and Best Buy. Otherwise, yet another disappointing try finding clearances at a local Target for me.

Also, I'm unconvinced about the DCPI knowing stock on clearance games. I scanned Monopoly to check if the price tag was wrong, and it showed for "In Aisle" as N/A when there's three or four copies on the shelf. Just something to keep in mind. I think a CAG here mentioned the scanners were accurate about the "In Aisle" and in the backroom statuses.

If I remember correctly, the in asile refers to location, not quantity. they don't usually have numbers associated with the clearance end caps.

$100 GC coupon and $60 GC stacked and worked today for the standard 160gb PS3 for me today. No BLOPS ed to try it on at the store I was at.
Also got kung fu rider 4.98
360 NCAA basketball 10 9.98

found a PS3 RB3 keyboard but it rang up at full price.

If there is an assigned floor location it should mention it, but clearance items do not have one if processed properly.

Yes. That's what I meant. Not the quantity but N/A will normally say which aisle they're in instead.

And I believe Target is running a B1G1 half off on all games(including clearance) this week, so therefore you could get a second game for 50% off when buying another game at sticker price.

I tried clearance games, did not work. the guy said only the "marked games" with the red tag of B1G1 50% Off.

Just Wolverine, BF BC 2, and Hasbro game night for $19 in portland. And Truth or Lies for $5.

What's weird/frustrating is that I always see AC or GOTY Uncharted there but there's always full price and never at the clearance mentioned in the OP.

Well scratch one of my stops tomorrow while I'm making the rounds. Two clearance titles for X amount woulda been pretty sweet, but then again they're probably all sold out here by now.:whistle2:#

Well the OP still has stuff from 2010 so I'm sure popular games have been restocked since then.
