Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Found Castlevania PS3 for $11.xx and tron finally hit $9. Darn, now my target uses the 70% level. They must have realized it was too good of a deal and just giving away money. No amazon gift cards. Dragon Quest staying at $25.

Toddler, no. I got it for my 5 year old and he has trouble with it. They just don't quite get it. It's like looking in the mirror as a kid and being amazed everything is backwards. So it's difficult for my kid to do all the mini games himself and understanding the 3- dimensional space he's controlling. Granted he loves what he can do. Man I really wish they had ANY LEs in my Targets. I think the only ones I've seen in the past 4 or 5 months is the Halo Reach and Dance/Singing ones.

Somebody hit my Target hard today and bought all of the Transformers DS games with the little cars in them. They must have dropped to 75% off.
 
Saw an El Hoardo ravaging the Triangle area stores today... he had a basket full of about 50 games. Interesting. (You see the footprints all the time, but not so much a live specimen.)

Anyway, I saw no clearanced Amazon cards, but I did manage to find some good stuff at the prices others are reporting: :360:BioShock 2, :360:Splinter Cell, :ps3:R&C ACiT, :360:Split/Second for $4.50/$6/$9/$6 respectively.

I know, but it really isn't limited even if it says "limited". It is basically the standard and the one with the gun is the collector's, but I just want to make sure you guys are reporting the one in the regular ps3 case.

Well what makes it limited is that the PS3 version only includes the HD version of Extraction. So exclusive would have been a better moniker for them to choose

But yeah, there really aren't any collector editions out there in stores anymore

I haven't gone Target clearance hunting in a while, but after hearing all the scores other people got, I had to go take a look. Saw some OK deals, like

Other employee: "What? Really? Holy crap."

Yet another reminder of why you NEVER CALL. EVER. One of these putzes would have swooped on it instantly.

And where would you find these Amazon Kindle cards, and what do they look like? I didn't know where to look for them, but I bet one of the three Targets I visited recently probably had one.
 
Spokane Valley Target added a crapload of games to the clearance since the last time I went to look. Like, the entire endcap is nothing but clearance games, half of which are LA Noire. I snagged a ps3 version of Captain America for 9.98. PS3 WWE All Stars was 14.98, while 360 was 34.98. Other than that the only ones I remember for sure were GH Mod Nation for 5.98 and a stack of Mafia 2's for 9.98.

Where at the store are these "clearance" games? Is there a particular spot at the store where there's all kinds of items on clearance, or is there a clearance area by the games/electronics section?

I saw a guy looking for them as I was leaving one of the stores.

There were 5 cards per store and one store was supposed to have 5, but they were gone by the time I got there (probably the other guy I saw).

$175 for $250 credit is still a nice haul!

Usually it's an endcap in/near electronics. In one store near me, it is over by the books and magazines. If all else fails, walk the perimeter of the store and you should find it (somewhere).
 
If you can't find the clearance like me because this target in Los Angeles is always moving the clearance, just ask the electronics person. They'll show you. They have a new clearance good games I saw.

Went to 2 Targets tonight, the first had a TON of games....the second didn't even have a clearance section. I went ahead and picked up Rango (360) for $8.98. Other games like Operation Flashpoint and WWE All Stars were around $25, too much.

Saw a TON of stuff here too.

Gonna go back tommorow and grab Ratchet and Clank Future (8.99), Ruse (5.99), and Hawx 2 (7.99) all for PS3.

Possibly Cubic Ninja for 3DS too (For 8.99).

Also saw Dragon Quest and Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, though they were still both above the 20$ mark. (Though all 3 stores in the area have them, so i might wait)
 
Damn target clearance is awesome the past week or two. I bought tomb raider trilogy and hunted ps3 the other day, but may return hunted for castlevania ps3 for $11.98. Also to pick up PoP collection for ps3.

My target has an entire 5 shelf end cap full of JUST ncf only ps3 and 360 games completely separate from the clearance endcap. They are all full price still tho.

Not clearance but they had 4 zelda wii bundles left.
 
I hit up the Target near my office and grabbed a copy of Rango for PS3 which dropped to $8.98 but they were sold out of Amazon cards.
No new games and none of the other stuff I wanted seemed to have dropped either.

I noticed that Target is now on holiday hours and is open until 11PM (as of today, apparently) so I decided to check my local store on the way home too.
No new game drops but I found SEVEN $25 Amazon Kindle cards for $17.50 a pop! :D
So I basically got $175 worth of Amazon credit (just in time for Black Friday, no less!) for $122.50 out of pocket. Woo ha! :D

My local Target took all the clearance games back in the Back ROOM and will not put out till next week after black friday is OVER! Disappointed TRIP to target today :(

Don't be mad, that means the soccer moms looking to grab anything and everything (heh, insert sexual innuendo), won't grab everything on the shelf because "it's on clearance" and you may get a chance at some of those titles (which should be lowered price wise in the system by the time they make it back out).

Ended up grabbing Rango today and snagged two copies of Sesame Street: something Grover for DS as well for $3.04 a piece. Don't laugh, they trade for $8 base at Best Buy.
