Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Price adjusting is seriously YMMV, in the past I've always bought at $4.98 and returned my un-opened $13.98 copies.

Man, some people just tick me off. Hit the Target this morning to find some Brit dude (Yes, he was entirely British) literally grabbing armfuls of the titles marked down this morning. I made a crack about him selling them online and he went 'you bet', then proceeded to grab things faster. Between that I managed to thrust my arm in and grab a few of the games I wanted, but he had everything else. Then he ran over to another endcap while I checked for leftovers, and nabbed all the crappy Wii games there (Balls of Fury). He then wobbled out of electronics with two head high piles of games in his arms. I just glared at him and shook my head. It's pathetic, and what's funny is that he won't even make back most of his money on them.

Anyone else notice copies of The Force Unleashed 2 on the clearance shelves? At all 3 targets, there were copies of the game mixed in with the clearance and other endcap games. The collectors editions were there as well. Just wondering if only my locations pulled them from the plastic jungle cases or if anyone else noticed this as well.
 
Chantilly VA store had some good mark downs all around. Got Arkham Asylum for the 360 for $14.98, and Saboteur for $4.98. I might take back Batman though, and wait for the GOTY edition. Anything in the GOTY edition besides the 3 DLC packs? And one of those DLC packs was free. DLC packs are marked at $3 each, so I'd still be ahead of the GOTY price.

Hit the Target this morning to find some Brit dude (Yes, he was entirely British) literally grabbing armfuls of the titles marked down this morning. I made a crack about him selling them online and he went 'you bet', then proceeded to grab things faster. Between that I managed to thrust my arm in and grab a few of the games I wanted, but he had everything else. Then he ran over to another endcap while I checked for leftovers, and nabbed all the crappy Wii games there (Balls of Fury). He then wobbled out of electronics with two head high piles of games in his arms. I just glared at him and shook my head. It's pathetic, and what's funny is that he won't even make back most of his money on them.

Something similar happened at the second store i went to (Had my eye on it for a while because they had Borderlands, Dead Rising, and Tekken 6), got to the clearance isle to see some guy grabbing all of the copies of Borderlands (Which i presume was under 20 now) along with as many copies of Tekken he could carry. (Luckily for me while he was bending over i managed to nab one out of his stack without him noticing)
 
seriously to ^^ both of you, I would have made a downward slapping motion on top of those games in his hands, swooped in low to pick up what I needed and before the douche could realize what happened, I'd be walking away. Especially since we've all been waiting a month for these drops!

Would have done that personally, but i didnt have enough cash on me anyway, so i just Ninja'd the Tekken 6 (Which i had been waiting ages for). Still a bit ticked over the Borderlands though, the guy had the nerve to smirk at me when i was trying to glance past him to see the end cap.

I haven't come into contact with a hoarder yet, I have seen people also going through clearance but only with 1-3 games in hand. kinda surprised I didn't run into one today given the size of this recent drop.
 
seen a million copies of borderlands for ps3, found a stashed ninja gaiden sigma 2, just left it there also silent hill for wii was 9.99

Oh, I picked up a new Halo belt set and a Halo wallet set for $3.24 each, since they were marked down to $3.24 (75%)

The wallet works perfectly to replace my old leather one that got smelly from beer and sweat...
 
Passed on :ps3: NGS2, Prototype, WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2010; Tekken 6 and a few others. I did pick up a :ps3: Borderlands and a :360: Borderlands Add on.

Also saw the 7" Haier TV down to $16.xx in 2 stores (85% markdown) and 2 sets of Bose headphones (Around the ear) for $31.24 (was $125).

Actually, there was a shit ton of clearance around... Saw :ps3: Uncharted 2 for $27.98 and :ps3: RE5 Gold for $19.99. I figure none of that stuff will make it to 75% with BF coming.

You should've told a Target employee that the guy was stealing the copies. You would've stop El Horado for a brief moment.
 
Darn, didn't think to look for the TV for $16. I held out at $32 because I just didn't see the value in it in a car - you can't watch TV while moving and I already have a laptop and portable DVD player with a large screen. But for $16, I could use it connected to my 360 when I have to run through sports games that require you to simulate 30 years for an achievement. :)

I got brutal legend on 360 for 5 bucks and borderlands greatest hits on ps3 for 7.50. There were tons of other drops, including some for 5 that I passed on.

I don't normally do this but...

One of my local Targets (St. John, IN) has been sitting on a crapton of PS3 Prototypes for weeks now. Price has been sitting at $20.98 and I've been waiting for them to drop. So I had the day off and a scarce few minutes to myself between being a chaperon for my son's field trip and a doctor's appointment for my daughter. That's when I made my first mistake; I called the store.

When I finally got someone from electronics, I asked the guy (I didn't get his name; my second mistake) to check on the game for me. He comes back and says "Yeah, we got a bunch of them and WHOAH, it's only $7.48!" I confirm with him they have like 9 copies, so I say cool, I'll be there in a bit.

So I drive up there, get to the endcap and sure enough, no Prototypes to be had. I see a worker cruising around with a cart full of stuff and tell him how I just called and can't find the game I was told was there less than an hour ago. He sorta looks around and asks who I talked to because he's the one covering the phone for electronics and hasn't taken any calls about games all day. He punches it up in his price gun, which tells him they have copies in the store, but the guy doesn't know where they'd be.

At this point, I'm fuming mad, but have to pick up my kids. I leave and call them and speak with the manager who gives me the "Oh, I'm sorry and I'll look into that" line, but doesn't take down any contact info from me.

So anyway, fuck you St. John Target!

Haha what a small world. That is actually the Target I hit up today to pick up Borderlands, Sigma 2 and Prototype for PS3. I was there at about 2PM and can confirm there was at least 6+ copies of it. I picked up the last Borderlands though. That truly sucks, man.

The only downside I've seen so far to my $31.xx Bose headphones is the absurdly long cord. It gets tangled easily.

Found a few good deals today, but NGs2 turned out to be the most difficult game to find.

Hit up one store which I knew had 5 copies of NGs2 last week. Got there and they had none. At least they did still have copies of AvP
