Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
just to make sure, are most target clearance games slightly isolated from the electronics department?
Can vary by store, but usually on the endcaps in Electronics

Got REFLEX: MX vs ATV (PS3) for $5, Raw vs Smackdown 2010 (PS3) for $7.50, Clubhouse Games (DS) for $5, and RE5 Gold Edition (PS3) for $20.

Unsure if I will keep Raw vs. Smackdown and RE5, but bought both since they were the only ones I saw in 3 different Targets.
Better off waiting until Black Friday at Sears where they'll be off-loading their PSP-3000 systems at $129.99 w/ Little Big Planet & 1GB Memory Stick. I've never understood the PSP-GO. It's like saying, "I'll take the porsche at almost full price, but give me the most dumbed down and useless model you have in stock".

And to prove my point.
Thanks for the heads up on the Sears sale. I travel sometimes for my job and had been gaming on my laptop but I'd like to give the psp a shot.

I wish the psp go had the same functionality and game selection as the psp 3000 because I really like the smaller form factor. I took a quick look over at Sony's website and couldn't find the latest God of War game available for download, nor could I find prices for the games (which is generally a bad sign and a little shady imo). It'd be nice to play on something smaller in airports/planes but ah well, guess my pride is going out the window. For you adult gamers out there, does it bother you at all to play hand held games out in public?

I've played WoW on my laptop sometimes at the airport and felt just a tad ridiculous getting my game on with a suit and tie on. With a handheld system, probably more so lol but hey, gaming is what I love to do.

Haven't been paying attention to Target gaming clearance for a while, but stopped by and got Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for $13.xx, although it seems some people got it for that price months ago.

Uh oh - competition.

Might have to go see if i can find those Bose headphones

Picked up MXvsATV and The Saboteur each at $4.98. Saw Resident Evil 5 Gold and Uncharted 2 for $27.98. The latter two were too steep for me.

I took a month long break from my Monday/Tuesday night Target runs to check clearance games and electronics. I was shocked to see piles and piles of clearance games on the end cap at one of my Targets.

:ps3: White Knight Chronicles $34.xx
:ps3: Wolfenstein $34.xx
:ps3: Uncharted 2 GOTY $27.xx
:ps3: RE5 Gold Edition $27.xx
:ps3: Lost Planet 2 $27.xx
:ps3: RB2 bundle $99.xx
:360: PGR4 $9.xx
:360: Batman:AA (non-GOTY) $20.xx
:360: RB Metal Track Pack $9.xx
:360: Tropico $14.xx
:360: Oblivion $13.xx
:wii: Sin & Punishment 2 $24.xx
:wii: Punch Out! (game only) $24.xx
:wii: Endless Ocean: Blue World (game only) $14.xx
:wii: Truth or Lies bundle $19.xx
:wii: Band Hero (game only) $20.xx

There were alot more clearance games, but I don't remember the prices. I'm hoping some of these games make it to the next drop:)

Honestly...unless the price drops under 100 bucks and someone finally puts out an attachable UMD to it...I just don't see myself getting it. Sure it will be a great media player...but without a UMD......it's a pass.

Was that Strongsville that you picked up the headphones at? That was the only one I could find them at for that price, and they had two left before I bought one. :D
Haha what a small world. That is actually the Target I hit up today to pick up Borderlands, Sigma 2 and Prototype for PS3. I was there at about 2PM and can confirm there was at least 6+ copies of it. I picked up the last Borderlands though. That truly sucks, man.
I can confirm there were 7 copies at about 2:03pm at that same store...up until I tossed all of them in my cart and flew off to the checkout counter to pick them up. :applause: /hoarderaway jkjk

Found Borderlands PS3 for $7.48 (marked at $20.48, thank lazy clearance taggers for not catching that!) but the 1-2 copies of NGS2 at the stores I checked all disappeared, they must've gone to 12.48 like many have reported. :(

Did see lots of the other games finally moving to 75% off...

Went to 2 Target stores hoping to find some of the stuff posted here. I found nothing (the TV was still $32.48) but I found it interesting both stores had a ton of Fifa 10 for PS3 for $14.98. There must have been at least 30 copies each at both stores. I heard one employee say to the other they are never going to sell them, I almost wanted to say if they lowered it to $7.48, I'd buy a copy.

Saw Bioshock :360: 10.98, White knight chronicles 20.xx :ps3:, Alpha Protocol :ps3: 14.xx, Dragon Age :ps3: 24.xx, Ninja Gaiden Sigma :ps3: 13.xx, Lost Planet 2 27.xx :ps3: and a few more.
Picked up:

Xbox 360
Halo Reach Legendary Edition - $74.98

Wii
Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers - $9.98
Blue Ocean (game only) - $7.48
Nice finds.

I manage to pick up a few things earlier in today.

PS3:
Band Hero - $9.98
Guitar Hero 5 - $9.98
Van Halen - $12.98

Xbox 360
Rock Band: Green Day - $9.98
Lego Batman - $4.98 (2 copies)
Dang, I gotta keep my eye out for :ps3: LP2
I haven't seen them around here, The store on Day street has crap, the one on Arlington rarely rarely drops stuff. The best one is on Tyler but I was there on Sunday but they didn't have anything.
Yeah I meant 6, sorry about that. Was trying to go off my memory the best I could. Here's what dropped at the last target near me(I actually made notes of it this time)

:ps3:
Dante's Inferno Divine Edition - $9.98 [207 24 0324]

Thats all I have for now.
What percent is Dante's Inferno being marked down at the moment? Would really like to have one at that price.

I usually goto the Super Target off Nason. That's where I got NG2 Sigma for $12.xx

It's retail dropped to 39.99, so that's 75% off.

This thread got busy today! Looks like I'll do some Target hunting tomorrow, unless I can miraculously play some AC:B multiplayer - or will I keep getting "server not available" messages?

On topic, I saw :pc: JC2 27.98...at the store that is slower in the area for drops.

Ah, alright, thanks. I thought that it was dropped to $29.99, so was not sure why the weird percent off.
For you adult gamers out there, does it bother you at all to play hand held games out in public?

I've played WoW on my laptop sometimes at the airport and felt just a tad ridiculous getting my game on with a suit and tie on.
I kind of make a point to play my DS at the airport. Granted, when I travel for work, I generally don't have to dress up :) But I feel like people need to get used to seeing other adults enjoying games during their downtime. Maybe in a few more years, it'll look as normal as if I was reading some John Grisham novel :) So stay strong, soldier, and get your game on in public with pride!
Never trust Best Buy employees. Always ask for a second and even a third opinion. It's happened twice now where some employee tells me something isn't going on or expired only to find out an hour later that they were wrong. Bonus point for one of them having a smug attitude about it

Most likely within the end of the year the Go will be hacked and you'll be able to rip your UMDs onto the system using an older PSP (1000/2000/3000). Sony also does sales every so often (I believe mostly around the Holidays), including the sale going on right now for a different PSX game each week. Some publishers also do sales every now and then.

Since the Go sells so terribly, accessories for it are also very cheap.
Hey now, would you rather put your trust in FailStop employees or Wal-Mart who doesn't know about anything at all? Oh, and way to promote a route to piracy there.

I'm glad that the Go is starting to come down in price. It's a good system but just terribly overpriced. Maybe if it was sub $100 I might bite as I don't really play portables that much.

I appreciate and sympathize with piracy concerns (I assume that's what you meant by "privacy"). But when it comes to the PSP Go, I think being able to rip games is a legitimate concern for a serious gamer. The pocket-friendly form factor of the Go is much more appealing to me than the older models, but limiting its playable library to only what can be downloaded from Sony's store, at the price they demand, is a huge deal-breaker for me. I'm a CAG; I want to be able to choose the best price from a variety of competing vendors.

Un-hacked, the Go is unable to play a significant portion of the PSP platform library. Until I'm able to transfer and play backups of physical games I've rightfully purchased, the PSP Go isn't useful to me at any price.

And I agree with you there too. Many of the older games on PSP that I would like to and rather have on the Go are not on the PSN network (like DJ Max Fever for example), but I have no doubt that most people will misuse that hacking ability if it were to come true.

I picked up one of two copies of Brutal Legend at $4.98 today. The only other games were DS "Petz" type stuff for 20 bucks. I was hoping to find a copy of The Saboteur for $5 since I bought a copy at $13.xx, but they were all gone too.

Got borderlands yesterday for $7, also saw ninja gaiden sigma 2 for $13 or something close to that. Tekkn 6 and Avatar had also dropped to $7.

I was hoping for a drop at my nearby Target on Silent Hill Wii, but apparently the two copies got snapped up at $27.98 or whatever it was, or were sent to the back... funny.

FIENDING for Punch-out at $24.98, Blue Ocean at $14.98, and Sin & Punishment for $24.98. Too bad my paychecks are horrible lately.
