Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Hey now, would you rather put your trust in FailStop employees or Wal-Mart who doesn't know about anything at all? Oh, and way to promote a route to piracy there.
Excuse the French, but what a dumb ass assertion to make. Just because you can pirate games does not mean I am "promoting piracy". I am simply pointing out the only method to play legitimate copies of certain games on the PSP Go.
And I agree with you there too. Many of the older games on PSP that I would like to and rather have on the Go are not on the PSN network (like DJ Max Fever for example), but I have no doubt that most people will misuse that hacking ability if it were to come true.
The people who pirate games will pirate games whether someone in this thread points it out or not. On the other hand users who own legitimate copies of games that want to play them on their Go will be clueless.

So some are championing the PSP Go's portability (really the only advantage it has), and other proponents are saying all it needs is a UMD add-on, which would make it much more inconvenient to play than a regular PSP?

Don't get me wrong, I finally picked one up with the BB sale and I like the form factor, but all these UMD games are now useless, including all the ones I bought after the Go came out... they really couldn't figure out a way to include downloads with more recent games?

And a warning for those buying the clearanced dock at Target... it has no plug. So you can plug it in with the Go's included plug, but it takes up the slot that you would normally use to plug it into a TV (and that connector is also sold separately). Or, you can power it with an older PSP plug... Who paid $30 for this pre-clearance?
Xbox 360
Rock Band: Green Day - $9.98
Lucky you. I want that game but only to export so I'm waiting for it to drop to a reasonable price. It hasn't hit the clearance rack at my local Targets yet.

Just got back from the Tinley Park, IL store and found a shopping cart full of games parked right in front of the endcap. Of course, the one game I was really looking for wasn't there (Prototype). I do recall seeing:

Fable 3 CE: $39.xx
White Knight Chronicles: $27.xx
Lost Planet (PS3): $27.xx
Dragon Age Origins (PS3): $14.xx
Dragon Age Origins (360): $20.xx
Resident Evil 5 Gold Box (PS3): $19.xx
Punch-Out: $24.xx
Sin & Punishment: $24.xx
Shawn White Snowboarding (360): $10.48

Good hunting!

Can anyone post the DCPI for the Fable 3 CE, I might have to keep a lookout for that. Would make a great christmas gift for someone at $40.

Score! Picked up (Greensboro, NC):

Borderlands (PS3) - $7.xx
The Saboteur (360) - $4.xx

My first Target finds in a long while.

It could if the employee put the sticker on the wrong game. It wouldn't ring up for that though and would require an override.
Lucky you. I want that game but only to export so I'm waiting for it to drop to a reasonable price. It hasn't hit the clearance rack at my local Targets yet.
me too but all they had was the wii version at mine

Scooped (360)Batman AA, DDR 3 Universe w/ Mat, Oblivion GOTY, Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010, PGL Paintball 2009 today for $14.98 a piece today. Shaun White Snowboarding for $7.48.

Saw Dragon Age Origins for $14.98 as well and PGR4 and ATV vs MX for $9.99 a piece. Lost Planet 2 and Bayonetta for PS3 were $30.

South Dale Mabry, Tampa FL location.

My area (Cedar Falls/Waterloo) doesnt seem to keep alot of clearance items of any kind at most stores. Between bestbuy, kmart, and target and all those kinda places they seem to take them off shelves before they get too low :(

You have to check the Targets (especially Waterloo) almost right at opening on the drop day or it will all be gone. I got some good stuff yesterday no problem at both stores.

Checked Target in Stoughton MA, and it had some of the clearance games but no NGS2 or Borderlands.

There was also a Logitech Squeezebox Boom for $175...I'll jump on this if it goes under $140.

My local Target had most of these new clearance games, except $20 higher than the lowest prices people have been posting.

I don't think I will be checking again for the prices to decrease further though. All of the clearance games at my local Targets have this nasty indentation (about 75% of the games have a giant rectangular hole punched through the case and the cover) caused by the display cases. I think this happens when a game is placed in that plastic display case that customers can pull towards them; the cord that is attached to the case is connected to this rectangular piece of plastic that makes the cases WAY too tight to fit a game. Is anyone else noticing this at their local Target?

I stopped by the one on my way home from work today and they seemed to have a lot of clearance stuff. Much more than the ones around me. I should stop by more often.

I picked up:

:360: Bioshock - $7.48
:ps3: Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition - $14.98

I also noticed but did not pick up:

:ps3: Alpha Protocol - $19.99
:ps3: White Knight Chronicles International Edition - $24.98

There was at least 6 copies of PGR4 in there as well but I forget the price.

wow id love fable 3 collectors edition at that price, if someone could pick 1 up for me id gladly aprreciate it, would pay cost for game + ship

Yeah, what this guy said - the only condition being I wouldn't be able to pay until a week from today (pay day).

(edit for clarity: if it wasn't obvious, I wouldn't actually expect you to send the product before payment. lol)

Thanks for the laugh guys!

w00t! Target clearance is back!

Picked up:

:360: Batman Arkham Asylum $14.98
:360: Dragon Age Origins $14.98

Figured I'd grab them now in case they don't make it to the $7.48 drop point.
I kind of make a point to play my DS at the airport. Granted, when I travel for work, I generally don't have to dress up :) But I feel like people need to get used to seeing other adults enjoying games during their downtime. Maybe in a few more years, it'll look as normal as if I was reading some John Grisham novel :) So stay strong, soldier, and get your game on in public with pride!
Well said. There shouldn't be any kind of stigma associated with ol' timers (relatively speaking) gaming!

I haven't seen anyone recommend the Go to people who are looking to replace their current model and own a plethora of UMD titles. If you're a new PSP owner, the Go is definitely a viable option IMO.

Picked up Prototype and Borderlands for PS3.
Started playing borderlands and it is awesome .But Prototype...not so much, I might not finish it.

picked up Borderlands PS3 7.48, UFC 2009 PS3 7.48, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 12.48, Shaun White Snowboarding X360 7.48, and Backyard Football X360 4.98.
I now have Borderlands for PS3 and PC but I really want it for 360 lol

LOL I scored. I picked up the last copies of (all PS3) RE5 Gold, Beatles Rockband, Street Fighter IV, Borderlands, and Tiger Woods 10...all for $7.48 each!

Tiger Woods wasn't in the system, and had a clearance tag of $20.98 on it. The CSR began to manually type in $20.98 at the "unknown item, enter price" screen, and I told him I don't want it at $20.98 and that it should be "the same as the other clearance games - $7.48. So he thought about it for a minute, looked at how much the other games rang up for, and said "yeah ok" and typed in $7.48.

Then, without prompting or anything (I was pretty damn happy with my deals already) I got a huge bonus - he goes and pulls out RE5 Gold, which he had already scanned ($20.98) and thrown in a bag, removes it from the order, then re-scans it and manually overrides it to $7.48, LOL. I guess he thought all of them were supposed to be $7.48. $37.40 + tax out the door (plus a couple dozen cans of soup and veggies on sale, for a foodbank drive...maybe I got some good karma because of this!)

So yay me. Now I just have to track down NGS2, DA:O and some other goodness. Thanks as always, party people!

... If only I had been that lucky when I picked it up.

wish I had that CSR, my store has Uncharted 2, DA:O, White Knight Chronicles and many more I would like to get for 7.48 lol

Shoot...now that I think of it, that store had a lone copy of White Knight Chronicles for $24.98 (or it may have been $27.98 or $34.98, can't remember now) that I left behind because I thought it was too much. The guy probably would've adjusted it to $7.48, LOL. Oh well best not to be greedy.

Oh and I just checked the receipt - the original price for RE5 Gold was $19.98 not $20.98...if that matters to anyone.

DCPI's:

207240251 Tiger Woods 2010 PS3
207240349 RE5 Gold PS3
207240081 Beatles Rockband PS3 (game only)
207240213 SFIV PS3
207240261 Borderlands PS3
umm not really , as i have someones who willing to do it
Usually considerate people say cost, shipping and a little extra. That is what I was laughing about. If you can find someone to take advantage of and be your personal shopper then so be it.

Although I have 3 Targets close by, they seem to take their time dropping prices on clearance. I only ever see games on clearance at the highest clearance price and then the games dissapear. It's rare that I find any game under 10 worth anything on clearance. Not as lucky with our targets in southern california I guess.

Although I did get a nice find yesterday. Picked up the ONLY copy of Punch Out!! for wii for 24.97 and a copy of Red Steel 2 for 14. They had the following games as well that I noticed.

A ton of Sin and Punishment 2 for 24
Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles at 19.99
Green Day Rockband for Wii at 14
Endless Ocean for 14

OP Updated....

Before I put Fable III CE up there I would like at least 1 more confirmation...though it may be possible. NOT putting Uncharted 2 GOTY on the list as that clearly was a mislabeled game.....

I just got back from my Target in West Burlington, IA and scored Brutal Legend for $4.98 for 360, Scene it Bright Lights! Big Screen! for $4.98, and they had one copy of Fable 3 LE I was shocked to see for $39.98, quickly grabbed that as well. Added to all that was the 5% off for the Target card I have and it was a good trip. Almost bought a RE5 Gold Edition for PS3 for $15 or so but I didn't figure I'd ever play it.

Thanks mission42...you got the DPCI for Fable II CE? I'm gonna be looking for that game all over....

Surely sony could have initiated some kind of good will program but they passed, likely in the name of profit. Well spilt milk, etc. The GO is what it is.

Wait, what's this about the dock? I thought you could have it plugged into the AC adapter and the tv out cables at the same time? If not that's a real drag.

edit: You have to have a 5V AC adapter to make the dock work? OMFG that is AIDS.

It's Fable 3 CE but yes I do, it's 207 22 0496.

Well consider me a considerate person... I never meant to imply that I wouldn't throw in a little extra. Perhaps you could've thrown that idea out there and made yourself useful earlier.

I saw 4 copies of Uncharted 2 GOTY on clearance for $20.
white knight chronicles 34.xx
dragon age 20.xx

everything else was shovelware, could not find ngs2.
White knight is on clearance @ Kmart for 19.99

Damn, I really wanted Green Day, but the only version they put out in the clearance section at the Northgate, Seattle store is the Wii version.

They did put a lot of stuff out there on clearance this week after a pretty thin past few months though -- Band Hero, Wolfenstein, Alpha Protocol, White Knight Chronicles, Beatles for Wii, Red Steel 2, NBA 10, somehow Project Gotham Racing 4 went from clearance to budget back to clearance like someone mentioned earlier, lots of PC titles -- and I picked up Protocol for $8 just because it was $8, not because I really wanted it. ;)

They had other titles on clearance like GI Joe and Lost Planet 2 but those were with the regular game section for who knows what reason.

Stopped by target on my way home today, found some soccer mom looking person holding 3 handful stacks of 360 games, including all the Borderlands add-on packs(all 7 that were there monday from the looks of it). Didn't want to make a comment as they luckily weren't going into the PS3 clearance games which is what I care about.

Also noticed that Rock Band 2 for PS3 was marked $70 clearance. I flipped it around and put it behind one for the 360 still marked at $90. Think I might go back for it tomorrow, doubt it will last another drop with BF coming.

I've been avoiding DA:O on console for whatever reason, but even at the clearance price, it doesn't seem like the best value since the UE (with EVERYTHING) is gonna be $35-40 at one more places Black Friday. Heck of a find on Fable 3 CE, though.

why wouldnt i throw extra for the he/she that took time outta there day to pick it up, and ship to me. thats almost a given
