Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Borderlands hit the front page of SD yesterday as well as some of the other clearance games.
 
Holy shit my target was loaded up on Clearance games this morning. A SHIT TON of Wii/Xbox 360/PS3 games. The only things I picked up were, Big Game Hunter 10 xbox-$14 & Street Fighter IV PS3 (xmas gift) $7

Whatever ends up on FW and SD end up going extinct almost immediately. Someone cleaned out one of my local targets, checking the other tonight. One by my work hasnt marked down enough so the flippers are not interested (yet).
 
Finally found a copy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for $12.98 since label wasn't updated. It was still showing the $34.98 but, I scanned it just in case. Luckily I did since I now have a copy.

Lots of 360, Wii, and DS games on clearance too. Nothing really stood out though.

Hi, just wanted to say I picked up Prototype for the PS3 the other at the Target on Hwy 378 in Lexington, SC for $7.48. I was really happy to see it there lol!

That was the only copy of Prototype they had, but they had some more stuff like so RB Track Packs, Band Hero (Game Only), and some other shovelware all above the prices listed here. I scanned a couple of the better games and they came up the same price as marked unfortunately.

They did, however, have a couple of copies of Brutal Legend for $4.XX. Didn't pick it up thought as I didn't really care for the game.

Stopped by Target, and they had roughly one million copies of FIFA 10 for PS3. Saw a few copies of Dragon Age for PS3 at the $15 price point, but I'm hoping it drops to $7.48.

Damn. I wish my local Targets had that many copies of the clearance games, as I'd never have a problem finding ANY game at Target. That is, when they finally go on the clearance schedule around here. :roll:

But the frickin' soccer moms and other assorted numbskulls around here grab them up at 15-30% off and don't wait for the juicier markdowns or some assholes keep hiding them, since I've found innumerable games/other items stashed behind other stuff lately.:bomb:

You can keep saying that till you're blue in the face, but some folks just won't take the extra 20 seconds to go to a price scanner and scan the games, since after all ALL retail employees are studious and dedicated and all price stickers are ALWAYS correct.
 
San Diego. Targets in my area have been putting out games that they haven't even carried in months or years like Oblivion GOTY edition for 13.98.
 
I managed to get Tekken 6(PS3, $7.48), Beatles RB(PS3, $7.48), Alpha Protocol(PS3, $19.98), Shaun White Snowboarding - Target Exclusive(360, $7.48), Prince of Persia(360, $4.98). A bunch of other games were higher than others have seen, Punch Out was $34.99, but this was the first week it had dropped at my Target.

I know I might have been able to wait for another drop on AP, but I have wanted that game for a long time, and I'll definitely get my $20 worth.
 
For a game that isn't on clearance and still behind the glass, if I price check the DPCI and the price shows lower will I still get the marked down price?

As long as it's the correct DPCI to the bar code on the game, it will scan at the register at the lower price.

What you see on the scanner is what will ring up at the register.
 
I stopped by the Rowlett Texas sore and the had PLaystation 3 Tekken 5 , Prototype, and Boarderlands, and all for $7.48 each. I didn't get any.

Also had Brutal Legend for $5 on 360 2 copies left.

My targets finally went on clearance. I was keeping my eye on NGS2, the only games with the security device on? Anyhow they where gone but i did luck out on a Guitar Hero 5 bundle for 22.48 so it wasn't such a worthless trip. Thought about picking up a couple Sin and Punishments 2 for the holidays but money was short. Heres to getting paid next week right before BF and i hope i can clean up.
 
So since clearance cycle has started we should see 50-75% next week ? I think my targets here in CO have changed there clearance days. Use to be Wed but i checked last week and nothing and this week all the targets i went to on tuesday where stocking and scanning and tossing everything up. Wonder if its just because of the holiday season or a regional change. Oh well, where they go ill be there!

where is your Target? I'm looking for this for 360 and am striking out left and right.

Don't get your hopes too high up; I have occasionally (rarely) seen a game drop a week after its debut on the clearance rack, but usually it takes two or three weeks. Always helps to check weekly, though.
 
Stopped by a Target in town and picked up the Bioshock 2 Limited Edition for $8.74.

Also saw Tekken 6 for $8, Sin and Punishment 2 for $25, White Knight Chronicles for $25, Uncharted 2 (non GOTY) for $20, Brutal Legend for $5, RE5 Gold for $25, Batman AA for $15, Alpha Protocol for $15, Lost Planet 2 for $20. Titles I didn't price: Super Punch-Out!! (I want to say $25) and a ton of the latest Wolfenstein ($20?) for PS3. Would have liked to find a copy of NGS2 for a friend but no dice.

Not sure anyone cares, but those promotional Target Halo Reach packages (keychain, shirt, etc) were also on clearance for around 4 bucks.

holy crap you are lucky, the bioshocks at my store were bought up at $40+
 
if th item i want isnt showing up on the locator, that means the stores dont have them ?, its funny because i called 2 stores showing they had the item now it shows no store has it :whistle2:s

I was shocked as shit when THREE of the :ps3: versions of the Bioshock 2 LE showed up between the two local Target stores here at the 75% off($17.48) price. Then again, I had also snagged(and later returned) two of the PC LE's for $12.48 a pop. But yeah, usually stuff gets bought up at 15-30% around here.:roll:

Not to sound like a parrot, but NEVER call on clearance games, especially if you have no idea what a game is gonna come up in their system at.

For all you know the person you spoke to on the phone could've been a reseller and saw the insane price and as soon as you got off the phone with them they bought that item and any others.

Not saying it did happen for certain, but when dealing with clearance games/items it's best to just find the time and go into the store in person to check.
 
Massive sales in my area today. (That's LA now near Hollywood and Elsegundo.)

All seem to be discounting literally hundreds of games for 3-17 bucks that weren't there yesterday. Surprisingly a lot in the 5-15 dollar range.

Here are more titles that I left out. Again some titles were 27 dollars (mostly PS3 games) but other then that 15 bucks or cheaper. These photos are about 1/3 that were out at the stores I went to. No real photos taken of the DS or PSP games that were out but they had a ton of those to.

(Flipping back more then 2 pages some of these deals arent new but it gives you an idea of inventory)

I grabbed :360: Tropico 3 last night for $14.98. After reading about the saved game bug that has apparently never been fixed (and probably won't be, by this point), though, I'm debating whether to keep it or not. Anyone have any recommendations?

Also saw that they'd put :ps3: White Knight Chronicles on the clearance rack for $34.98. Damn it! I've been waiting for them to clearance that one, so of course they'd do it the week before Black Friday. I really don't want to pay that much for it (and in fact, at this point, it's still cheaper on Amazon), but I'm sure the soccer moms will clear it out on Black Friday before it even has the chance to drop to a good price. :cry:
 
Alright I was able to score Last copy of :ps3:Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for $12.48 and Last copy of :ps3: Tekken 6 for $7.48. I returned the copy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 I had bought at Kmart when it was clearanced for $19.99 since I got two games for .03 cents cheaper then the full $19.99 for one game. Saw about 5 copies of :ps3: resident evil 5 gold $27.98 and 1 copy of :wii: resident evil darkside chronicles $19.98. Tons of other games added but can't recall titles.

I got the game when it first came out and never ran into that problem. The game is a lot of fun if you enjoy sim type games.

I do believe some games have hit 90% before, although very rare. Although I could be wrong, I know I've seen some games beyond 75% before, not sure what the percent off was though.

It also depends on the markdown team. I talked to the lady that does my district and she said nothing goes below 75% (in our district). It all gets pulled an goes to Salvation Army (most other areas it is Goodwill).
