Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Was finally able to snag a copy of Punch-Out Wii for 25. Also had my friend use their team member discount + red card so that sweetened the deal a bit. Glad to have it in my collection finally. Definitely one of the harder games to find in the sub-30 price range.

Picked up Bioshock Platinum Hits Edition for $7.48 at Columbia, SC Target by Woodhill Mall. They also had:

Elder's Scroll Iv: Oblivion GOTY Edition for $20, same price with Dragon Age Origins and Arkham Asylum.

I believe you either mean Ninja Gaiden 2 for Xbox or Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for PS3.

Yeah I jumped on a lone RE5 Gold for PS3 w/o Move artwork for $20. I was quite happy b/c I wan't expecting to find it, let alone anything I would buy. Saw some Bayonetta PS3, but at $27.98, when GS has it across the street for $20, I obviously couldn't do it...they also had most of these fresher Wii games, but still priced to high, S&P2 was like $34.xX, same with Punch-Out!!
 
I bought Sin & Punishment for $12.48. I also saw Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles Wii for $9.98 but I wasn't really familiar with the title so I passed. I did see Resident Evil Gold Edition PS3 for $19.98 but I figured I would ask here first if it was a good deal or not.
 
Not sure if it was on the list but I picked up Tropico 3 for the 360 tonight for $14.58 which was a hell of a good deal in my opinion.

Well I bought it off Steam a while back when it was on sale for like $10 or $20 so to get it on the 360 for under $15 is a great deal, I've loved the Tropico series in general.

So went back to a bunch of Targets I went to on Monday since I was doing some errands near there. 2 of them had emptied out significantly (despite most of the titles only being 30-50% off). However, one of them had reduced most of the Wii games from 50% to 75% off sometime during the week. So picked up Sin and Punishment, Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers, and Endless Ocean for $32.xx!
 
Decided to head to my local Target today. I had gone to one further away yesterday and passed up on a number of games, but I thought I'd head over to the close one just in case.

Got Dragon Age Origins (207 22 0408) and Elder Scrolls IV: GOTY (207 22 0348) for $14.98 a piece.

If I had a Wii or PS3, I'd have spent a ton more as well, but the 360 pickins were slim.
 
I can take pics later, but did anyone else see the Dragon Quest 9 instruction booklet type things on display @ Target? They're not instruction booklets but they do have some pretty cool artwork & tell you about the game & some of it's history.

I finally went after work tonight.. It was mainly garbage (like 15 copies of NHL 10 PS3 for $7 ea.. its a great game but with 11 out now I have no use for it) Than there was some other no name games and Uncharted 2 for $19.99. I almost bit on it and kept contemplating it, however it was $5 more than I wanted to pay for it. I really wanted to get Borderlands for $7 but they had none :(
 
Sin & Punishment was $25 at my local Target on clearance. Oh well, I'll just wait and watch.

I did pick up Smackdown vs Raw 2010 (PS3) for $7.50. Never played any SvR and haven't watched wrestling in years. I loved Legends of Wrestlemania so for $7.50, why the heck not?
 
Tonight I saw Napoleon Total War LE for $14.98 on the PC obviously.

Only saw two copies though...hope they drop down a little bit more since I'm not the biggest RTS fan.


Also has anyone else noticed that Target unloads unsold PC games to Goodwill. I always check it out since it's so close to the Target. Tonight I saw Borderlands and a CoH game, they had Borderlands and a couple others as well still wrapped with a new sticker covering the old Target ones. The sad part is that they still sell for about $4.98.

Do they typically drop once a week or is it more random or something?

I actually saw that thing tonight at Best Buy, with the strategy guides. I picked one up thinking it was the manual from the game case, lol. I guess it's just some sort of advertising?

There were a lot of good games but pretty much every thing was 50% off except Brutal Legend. If even half of the games drop to 75% off on Monday, I'm going to need to take out a student loan or get a credit card to pay for all the stuff I'd buy :p

I'm heading to my Target tomorrow, but as of 4 days ago they had nothing but UFC 09 and a bunch of Wii games, we hardly ever get decent clearances.

Just got back from the Huntsville, al Target on university drive. Had a bunch of copies of Tropico 3 for $7.48 and a couple of copies of Shaun white snowboarding for $3.74. That was pretty much the only clearance games I saw.
 
Forgot to mention that my Target already has the LBP PSP bundles in the case. Anyone else seen these out in the wild. If so, how much do they ring up now before BF?

I would have thought they were supposed to be saved for BF & not sold beforehand.
 
Target near 51st St. in Austin, TX has an overflowing clearance endcap right now. Bunch of copies of :360: Elder Scrolls Oblivion GOTY and Dragon Age Origins both for $20.98 and Shaun White Snowboarding for $7.98. One copy of :360: Tropico 3 for $15 or $20, can't remember. Tons of :wii: and :ds: games and some :ps3: selections, though I don't remember anything specifically.

If so are they marked for clearance with the usual red tag or the clearance sticker or do you have to scan/ask for the item?

No, the cans on clearance are these. My Target has a Bose display case. The cans were kept in there. However, the case was empty. The associated had to pull them from the back. I got the last pair at my Target. It took almost an hour for the associate to locate them.
 
My Target suddenly had a ton of new (for them) stuff out today from last week. Nothing that I don't remember seeing posted here, but surprising how some of it came out of nowhere (like Punch Out and Sin and Punishment, they must've been in the back for months).
 
I saw a Bioshock 2 LE for ps3 at my local target the other day for 4x.xx. Might pick it up if it goes any lower, never realized how big that thing is.
 
Just came back from the Target at East River Plaza (East 116th Street, Manhattan) and saw a bunch of copies of Dragon Age Origins and Tropico 3 for 19.xx. I did see a RE5 Gold Edition (no tag) and Bioshock for 7.xx. I was going to pick up Guitar Hero 5 for 19.xx but decided it was too expensive for me.

IIRC they are $169.99 normal retail. Here at GameStop we're holding them for BF as well since we're running them for $129.99 as is Kmart for their BF special ($15 gaming coupon with them). Not sure if they are specifically street dated though so that might explain why they are out.
