Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Actually, some people have been finding SSF4 on clearance for both :ps3: & :360: since September. Check out the previous Target thread, it probably went on clearance in your area and you were not aware of it.

I remember seeing it a while back on here in that other thread... But I also remember it being EXTREMELY YMMV, almost to the point of it being a mistake.

Definitely didn't go on clearance here though, and if it did they were still selling them in the secured prison for $20 as well. I'm swinging by that way today so I'll check. I was there yesterday and no price drop or new stuff (since they put PGR4, Oblivion GotY, Batman, etc out).
 
I just went to the store in Oakbrook, Il, and the clearance cap was gone! I could not find it anywhere.

I was hoping for the PX21 headset, I heard it was $50

Tons of stuff marked down at Daytona store. I was only looking for uncharted 2 which they finally marked down to 20. Super Street Fighter 4 was 10, only one left. No other details cause I was rushing during my lunch break.
 
No new markdowns at the Austin, TX store I always post about. They do have some new selections though. :360: Backbreaker at $20.xx, :360: RE5 Gold at $27.xx, and :360: GTA4 LCS at $20.xx. That one copy of Tropico 3 at $15 is still there. TONS of Wii, DS and PS3 stuff, but I didn't really dig.
 
Super Street Fighter 4 at 10 is a steal for fans of the first one. It's got a ton more fighters and the developers have said there will be no PC/Steam version.

I grabbed it at 20 and feel happy with the purchase. Can't wait to try it out with my new joysticks!

Forgot to mention there's a :360: copy of Fallout 3 GOTY at this Target as well for $37 if I'm not mistaken, though $27 seems like more of a clearance price. Maybe I read it wrong.
 
Found one Rockband 2 at 69.98. Does anyone know if thats the "sweet spot". Picked up
PS3- DA:O @14.98
WII- Tournament of Legends @9.98, Greenday [email protected]. Im really hoping next week theres a little something left for us.

I saw some for $34.xx.
 
Checked a few Targets nearby to see if I could locate a Fable 3 CE's for $28. No go, all MSRP at $79.99. Oh well, they have them tucked away in the back since they don't fit in the glass displays. Hopefully they will survive in the back for a price drop/employees buying them up.

All the other games I've seen listed have been more than what has been reported (Sin & Punishment, Resident Evil:DC, RE: Gold, etc). Gotta hope they make it through BF.

Hey CAG neighbor- thanks for the info, saved me a trip out there. That's the only Target I haven't been to. The store on 59 in Fox Valley had NO 360 or PS3 games in the clearance endcap. The one in Wheaton had Super Street Fighter 360 for $14.98 and Fallout GOTY for $34.98-

Lost Planet 2 for PS3 was ringing up 19.xx (holding out for ~10)
RE5 Gold for XBOX360 was also 19.xx

They still had MGS4 19.99, Darksiders 39.99, couple other games still in the prison case so no markdowns there.

Grrr, no clearance SSFIV or ANY SSFIV for that matter. Also all the PGR4's and all the Batman's were gone. They put out Mass Effect 2 for 13.xx and Fallout 3 GotY for 30.xx.

Oh well, I didn't exactly stash it but the other day I had PGR4 in my cart and tossed it out while I was in the baby section. Looked and it was still there today so I just kinda slide it back on the shelf a little bit :evil:. I'll have to keep an eye on it and see if it drops. I can get it for just under $9 shipped new on Amazon so paying 9.98 plus tax isn't exactly a deal.
 
Stopped by the Super Target on 119th & Black Bob in Olathe and all the PS3 clearance games were gone. Every fricking one of them. Wanted to pickup Punch-Out and RE Darkside Chronicles but they were also gone. Damn.

Ran to a nearby Target and picked up the last Super Street Fighter 4 (360). Willing to trade it for either Punch-Out or RE Darkside Chronicles since I already have SSF4 for PS3.

In Streetsboro Ohio I picked up for the 360:
SSIV - $9.98

They also had Mass Effect 2 for $9.98 and RE5 for $19.98.
 
Found a :360: Rock Band 2 bundle for $35. Almost feel guilty returning the $70 version I bought last week. Almost.
I'll be returning it to the Exeter store Wednesday if anyone wants to look for it.

Also picked up :360: NPPL Championship Paintball 2009 for god knows what reason for $7.48.

Does anyone know if by any chance there will be another markdown before Thanksgiving/Black Friday? Because I'd like to get a couple of those if they went through another price drop (possibly next Monday) but I'm certain they won't survive Black Friday and soccer moms.

I learned this the hard way. But unfortunately a Target in the same city minutes away from each other WILL have different prices.

Especially your find Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles $20 bucks, when my store had easily 15+ copies at $7.48
 
If i were you guys i would buy what you want today/tomorrow, on black friday it'll all be gone.
Happened last year, when people see a red clearance label they go crazy lol

or at least buy/return/buy again next week

Haha, I was waiting on a couple of moms to pick through the games on my last trip and they about brought the whole endcap down in an avalanche of plastic prison Wii games. One lady had her cart loaded with 360 games so I didn't hesitated to pull the trigger on Oblivion.

No I fully realize every Target has different markdown prices, but this is the only Target in my area that I've come across with games that I want, they're just not at the clearance level I'd like yet, which is common for my area vs. most of the rest of the country.

Its not worth the (possibly temporary) hit on my bank account and the effort involved to return then hope a markdown has occurred and rebuy or return then wait for it to be put back out AND marked down again.

If soccer moms are going to gobble up RE: DC at $20, I'll somehow find the will to live another day until I find it for $15 or $10.
