Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Target on Monument Rd. (Jacksonville, Florida) had about seven copies of Punch Out Wii at 24.98 I believe. A copy of Borderlands at 14.98 and two copies of the Fable III CE at 54.98. Didn't see anything else notable.
 
the target on columbia avenue in Franklin tn had 2 of the little big planet bundle with controller for 42 and picked up a copy of batman aa for 7.48 (one left sticker says 20.98) at the brentwood target

Nice deals....there's about 20 Fifas at my local Target at 7.48 and I'm salivating waiting for them to hit the magical rare 87.5% off.

Good buy on Uncharted....I have seen most of those disappear at 20 bucks.

The Target Iwork at restocked their clearance there was a few PS3 Alpha Protocals for 9.98 and NHL10 f0 I THINK 14.xx. This is the target at Alta Arden and Fulton in Sacramento. I bought AP and used my 10% off. If anyone is interested in the other APs let me know and we can work something out.

I saw all the usual suspect here except for FIFA. Strangely the price of White Knight dropped faster then the other games. ME2, NHL, Rockband:GD, etc didn't drop this week but WNC did.

sometimes they start the clearance cycle from the lowered MSRP. So they started it at the $29.99 price point that EA dropped it down sometime in the past year.

Reallyyyy tempted on Dragon Age Ultimate Ed. I beat this game last year and have the 1225/1225 or whatever it is. (main game, Stone Prisoner, Wardens Keep, and Return to Osgard)

would it be worth it to rebuy at $30 for Awakenings and all the DLC I missed?

Picked up DAO: UE today for 29.99, already had the vanilla copy and im going to keep that but the TIV for the UE at amazon is 26 so all that dlc and awakening for 4 dollars...i couldn't resist

Hm . . . Wouldn't you have to send it in with Awakening and all of the DLC intact for a trade-in, though? If not, it's tempting (I'm in the same boat, have the original release, would like the DLC), but I'm suspicious.

Is the DLC all on a disc, or does it come with download codes?

was about to pick up ngs2 for caopi but when it scanned it said item not found and they refused to sell it to me

Found this site about a week ago after seeing the prices for games drop at Target and figured something had to be out here to follow. This is an awesome list to follow. Didn't realize so many good games would go for cheap.

My understanding is it's all installable from one of the discs. You have to have a copy of the game to make use of it though, which is why he's keeping his vanilla copy.

The PS3 version is on the disc, can't say for the 360 version.

Finally saw Dragon Age Ultimate at my target, still can't believe that hit clearance already. If I didn't already have it I would have picked it up no doubt.

Libbie's a bit too far away from me, though I have thought about it. Besides, if I did make my way down there, I probably still wouldn't grab anything. Even when the deals are great, I can still be particular in what I take. ;)

This is just a friendly reminder that it never hurts to scan a game to double check a price. Probably 98% of the time the tag is correct, but when it's not it feels like you won a low-stakes lottery. I found :360: Oblivion GOTY for 7.48 (tagged at 20.48) and :ps3: RE5 Gold for 9.98 (tagged at 19.98).

Yeah that's always a good reminder for everyone. I just got back from Target a few minutes ago and scanned a pile of games. None of them an absolute must buy. GTA4 EfLC was $20.98 and that's about it. There wasn't even a copy of DAO UE. Ugh. :/

My Target sucks. They have had the same games at 50% off for the last 3 weeks. Probably because of the holiday shopping and thinking customers will buy when it says clearance on the games. But no, they are still there. This store normally marks games down more every week, but not now. Still waiting.................
 
Blah, checked a couple of targets (troy @john r and 14, warren @12 mile and dequindre) for RE: darkside chronicles, rang up for 20 though :(

Warren one had white knight chronicles for 12.xx though. Both had a shit load of dragon age ultimates

Seriously though, how odd that there are this many richmonders on the same board... I think one of you might have ganked that RE5 Gold that I was eyeing at target this past week. I was waiting for it to drop, figured it wouldn't have lasted but it would have been nice. I did pick up Brutal Legend in Virginia Center Commons Target last month for a cool $4.98. Other than that I'm hovering over these clearance racks like a vulture waiting for something to drop. :nottalking:

Psshhh... I can smell the deals long before I get to the store. Have been raiding that Kmart off of Broad St in westend these past few weeks. Those stackable coupons work in your favor if you wanna get something on release day. I ended up getting Halo Reach for a nice $20 on thanksgiving.
 
Target in Algonquin Illinois, had 4 Dragon Age Ultimates for xbox360 at 29.98. Would've grabbed it except I picked it up as the BF lightning deal on amazon. Sadly RE5 gold and Greenday Rockband still remain at 27.98.
 
found a Fable 3 LCE for $55.98 at my target....didn't get it though..mainly cause think my bro is getting me Fable 3 for Christmas

these still going for ridick amounts on ebay or wherever?

I'd like to sell it off for a bit of profit if i can!
 
Stopped by my local Target and I found Green Day Rock Band (360) for $19.98. Sweet! It was $27.98 at a different Target last week so I'm psyched mine had a copy for cheaper. I also grabbed the last copy of Borderlands (360) for $14.98, it'll be an X-Mas gift for a friend.

Finally found the Fable III CE, but at $55.98... not the price of $39.98 or the miracle of $19.98 I was hoping for. Bought the better-looking copy out of 2. I was hesitant, but it's a gift for someone and I REALLY didn't want it to vanish during the inevitable weekend shopping rush.

I wonder if the other one drops and how I could take advantage of said scenario... hmm... probably more trouble than it's worth
