Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Same-ish topic... anybody know how long it takes to roughly make it back from a customer service return to back on the floor? Like if I price protect some game @ $25 and know it dropped, how to best return/rebuy? (day of week to return/etc)

Then I got lucky Monday. egonpax informed me where there were some DA:O for $7.48 so I went to that Target but didn't find any. I did take the copy I bought a couple of weeks ago for $14.98.

I went to customer service and asked if I could return then rebuy the game. The pretty lady told me that sometimes it lets them do it and sometimes it doesn't (I think she was referring to those items that scan as not listed).

So she did the return, gave me my money back. Re-scanned the item and said,"Oh, that's why you want to rebuy it." :lol: I re-bought the game with my Redcard and and got it for $7.70 :D

yes, i believe the noob customer service lady who helped me around last christmas was asking another veteran csr and he said technically it is a "no no" but it is up to you. the newbie csr said she can't resell it to me. i wonder if they can get fired/written up for doing this.

if they are nice, you may ask your electronics department associates to go pick it up from the cart of customer service returns and sell it to you.
 
Picked up :360: GH 5 today for $9.98. Wasn't going to buy until I remembered you can do vocals, too... And it has "Runnin' Down a Dream" on the track list. I couldn't pass it up then...

That sucks. I went to a Sam's Club today to pickup some stuff we needed and went to peruse the video game section. My eyes grew wide when I saw :ps3:Wolfenstein for $9.xx.

Before I checked out, I asked someone with a scanner to look if they have it in stock. He scanned it and told me they didn't have it. WTF :bomb: Why do they have it out if it's not in stock? That pissed me off a little so I proceeded to the frozen food section to grab some samples to cheer me up :D
 
i got 2 copies of uncharted 2 at 9.98 each, going hunting this weekend to see if i can find a freaking copy of RE5:GE for the ps3, theres a ton for the 360 tho

i just came back from the UPS store shipping both copies to amazon, i got 22.50 for each, but if i found one i will let you know, i know what it feels wanting a game and not finding it "RESIDENT EVIL 5 GOLD EDITION ps3" o_O.....................

Picked up a copy of Dragon Age Origins for $7.48! I know the Ultimate Edition is 29.98 on clearance. If it goes any lower, I will return mine.
 
Yesterdays, I saw 4 copies of Fable 3 CE for $34.98. Waiting till it drop a little bit more. I don't expect anyone to pick up that price since that target is located in the ghetto.

Was at a local Target tonight and I saw 2 copies of Starcraft 2 Collector's edition. I remembered way back when they were on clearance for $50ish.

Scanned it... $99.99. I sighed and put it on the shelf again.. Sad day.

They also had a bunch of other collector's edition sitting around, all MSRP, including Fable 3. :(
 
Picked up a Bioshock 2 CE for 360 today for $34.98. they had a couple of them left at that target but didnt want to chance waiting for a further drop as i decided to pick it up as a christmas gift.

Same here. I'm keeping the 7.48 copy i bought sealed just on the off chance I can find the GOTY edition for 14.98. I'm not holding my breadth tho.

I'm so dumb...I was dying for an RPG, and I bought DA: Origins for $30 at Walmart last week.

Now I see this used copy with all the DLC included for less than I paid for the old ass version.

Yeah like somebody else said, I mean even at $29 it's definitely worth it. Go online and price all the DLC, you'll be surprised...

Also I still say it had to have been a mistake at corporate level to start it on the clearance cycle. They have to be losing tons of money on it by dropping it so quick.

If I see Oblivion for $7 or under I'll pick that up too, they still had one last time I was there but didn't check the price. I already have a perfect gamerscore on it but there's a few DLC's I never bought so it would be worth it.
 
I stopped by Target last night. They have raised the prices on everything. The same store that I purchase Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma for $12.48 has raised the price of it up to $34.98. I'm going to check a few more stores out but my expectations aren't that high.

I don't think I've ever seen that at any Targets. Sometimes they get new stock of titles that have already been clearanced out and it's marked back up to MSRP (peggle comes to mind) but your prices are both clearance. Did you actually scan them?

I just want the damn code for it and will then trade it in to Amazon to recoup some of the costs....

Edit: Damn... the Xbox 360 trade-in value for it is $19.00 right now. Making me debate picking it up at this price...

resident evil 5 gold edition (ps3) 9.98 - lol this had a price sticker for 19.98 but
scanned at 9.98

fallout 3 GOTY (360) 24.98 - wanted to wait for this to drop lower but it's the only copy i could find at my local stores, not gonna risk it

lost planet 2 (ps3) 9.98

glory of heracles 7.48 - most stores had at least 3 copies of this at this price

dragon age origins ultimate edition (ps3) 29.98

Nice haul there. I'm still looking for Green Day RB (still @ $28) and Uncharted 2. Pretty much given up hope at ever seeing the LBP/DS3 bundle again.

it wasn't just 1 store, that was my total haul from all the richmond/midlothian VA stores.

only found 1 copy of RE5 GE, i think there may have been more copies of uncharted 2 behind the glass at one of the stores i checked but i'm not completely sure.

I've been pretty lucky this month actually. The only thing I really wanted that I haven't been able to find was an Oblivion GOTY :360: for $7.48.
 
Can anyone else confirm at $34.98 price for Fable III LE at their Target? If you stop in, toss the DPCI into the scanner even if it's OOS. 207-22-0496

I haven't scanned one this week, but it was $55 last week and I've only seen like 3 copies at 3 different Targets.

I kind of want to start working weekends at Target. LOL.
 
originally from richmond,va. was in town this past weekend for a family members winter graduation from vcu.

saw the fable 3 collectors edition at the location near short pump, the one further down at broad and libby. also saw it at the store on midlothian turnpike near chesterfield town center. each store had two copies. in case any of you guys were looking for it. was at the 55 dollar price point.
