Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

On my travels today I'll check a couple Targets to see if I can find a $34.98 price point. If not, next week most likely. Here's hoping they last that long... I waited for $19.98 on MW2 Hardened last year and missed out by one day. My store had 11 copies and they gradually sold as they dropped, and never made it to $19.98 -- they all sold at $39.98. Sigh.

Hello CAG'S. The only thing i picked up was the Fable 3 CE. I read in an earlier post that if I hold on to Fable and check time to time,and if its in stock at another store i can return it and buy it at its lower price. Has anyone had luck with this?
 
Gonna hit up the ghetto Target in my area on Friday. It's the funny the night/day difference between that one & the store I regularly go to...they are like 1 or 2 miles apart at most.

It is YMMV as far as return/rebuy. Technically, they are not supposed to do it, but you might find a cool CS rep at CS.
 
I know sometimes you guys want to get away from your videogames so I thought I'd point out a deal I got in on at Target:

They sell Uno packs for $4.74-$4.99. One of the types of packs says there is a $5 coupon inside. What you can do is find 2 of these packs buy 1, open the pack, get the coupon, then buy the same type of 2nd pack with the $5 coupon and return that one on the first receipt thus getting you a free pack of Uno.

Remember folks Target's are open till midnight for the holiday season.

Just came back from one of my local Targets and saw that the clearance section was almost empty. All I saw was Wolfenstiein for PS3 for $12.50 and DJ Hero standalone disc for $20.

Yes. RE:TDC has been on clearance in SoCal stores for over a month now. It just dropped at some locations to $9.xx
 
I stopped by Target after dinner tonight to grab a new flash drive, and as I passed by the clearance section, I saw a copy of :ds: Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia for $7.48 (DPCI: 207-02-0859). Took it long enough to drop. It's been sitting at $20.98 for close to two months. It didn't even hit half off; it just jumped from 30% to 75%. I grabbed it since it's been a while since I last played a Yu-Gi-Oh! game. I need to scratch my children's-trading-card-game itch every few years. In America!
 
Found a copy of Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles tonight that was still stickered at $19.98, but scanned at $9.98. Other than that, not much exciting.

Not a clearance game, but of possible interest for NoVA CAGs -- In the Chantilly store, they're selling the Sherlock Holmes blu-ray for $10, with a shelf tag that says "below advertised price". It was $14.99 at the Fair Lakes store when I stopped later on in the day, so apparently the deal is store-specific. I grabbed one copy (been waiting for it to hit about that price point), but there were still several more in stock.
 
Went to target today, the only thing they had on clearance was GH5:ps3: for 19.98, DJ HERO:ps3: for 19.98 and NCAA Football 2009:ps3: for 7.48. Along with some PS2 games.

DA:UA :360: finally showed up at my Target for 29.98. I've heard the combat system on the console versions sucks, and is much better on pc. Can anybody who's played it comment on this? I'm not even sure if I want it that bad, but if that's true, I'll pick it up from Steam on sale some day...

Still waiting on a lot of drops like other folks, especially for RB:GD! I found a starfy but I passed...what's up with that game, is it popular or something?

steam is the route i'm going since i try to get all my single player games on pc anyways. heard da is an insane game. not going to play it right away, so i'll just wait another year or so and probably pick up da ue for $10-15 whenever it goes on sale.

i know, i've only seen around 5 total from a few stores and all of them are gone except for 1. i don't think it will make it to $39.99... girls love this game..

How is that lame? Its a $80 Collectors edition thats not even two months old, i dont understand how It made the clearance cycle so quickly, not that i'm complaining or anything
 
Picked up Fable III CE for $55.98 at Cerritos, Oblivion and DA:O for $7.48 at Anaheim last night. I'm going to try to sell my standard copy of Fable III to a friend. If anyone in the OC is looking for it, I spotted one more CE copy at the Fullerton store on Orangethorpe/Harbor a few hours ago.

At first I was annoyed by the stores who have their clearance endcaps so far from the games section but I've realized how much better it is to have them hidden from the soccer moms.

EDiT: I completely forgot about my amazing score for tonight! The LBP GoTY/DS3 bundle for $42 at the Fullerton store.

One of my stores removed their games clearance before Black Friday and it's still nowhere to be found... Weird... Only 1 Fable III in my area, so it'll be gone before it drops again. Hoping for a DA:UE drop on Monday. I'll pick that up if it hits $15. I had been wanting to see if I like those types of games, and $15 is the right price to try it out...

Was the Anaheim Target the one on Euclid? Just wondering because I was there a few days ago and there clearance section didn't have anything worthwhile.

(went to he Target on Yorba Linda blvd today, and they had nothing good. They had maybe 4 different titles, and 2 of them were rockband for $20+)

Which store is this? I know Central Park moved theirs way over to the book/dvd section...although its not worth finding unless you want 15 copies of Backbreaker.

Nice haul there. I'm still waiting on Dragon Age Origins Ultimate to drop to at least $20 before I bite. Might not make it there though, considering I am seeing them disappear slowly each day. I'm checking libbie, forest hill, va center commons, and one hidden up there by staples mill.

The staples mill one had 3 RE Golds but they are still locked at $27. Everywhere else, they are gone.

You wouldn't happen to be the one picking up the last copy of uncharted 2 at libbie the other day, would you? I think I may have saw you... I don't have a ps3 anymore, but I was thinking to myself, "Lucky Bastard!"

yeah, i think that was the target i went to for uncharted 2. i could've sworn they had more behind the glass but it could've just been more GoTY editions. tbh uncharted 2 was the main game i was looking for, i was going to go ahead and buy the GoTY version from amazon when they had it for $35 but i realized i'm buying it for the singleplayer campaign mode so i doubt i'll have any need for the DLC. the rest of the games i found on my way were mostly a bonus lol.

lucky you! that RE5:GE game you got as a bonus is the one i have been looking everywhere man :( i guess i wont be able to kill zombies this year :(

If you're only looking for Green Day Rock Band for the export code, you can get it from Amazon today for $20.99. The trade-in value is $17.50, so you'd only lose a few bucks and then end up only having to pay $13.50 for the export.

If I would have known someone wanted the Greed Day: RB I would have gotten it from one of my local Target stores and just traded it or something, they had two I believe.

Yes they still have it, one of the Target's did any way. Honestly I am not sure of the price, may have been $9.98, may have been $14 or even $17. I am not into Rock Band so I just didn't pay much attention to it.

Just picked up an iPad case. It is a Belkin iPad Leather Folio. It is $14.99 and is pretty nice actually! Only one out of like 4 targets' I visited yesterday had these ones. Most had the purple Speck ones for $9.99

Yeah, I broke down and bought two copies of DA:O Ultimate at $29.98 each last week (one for myself, one as a Christmas gift), because the copies that were in the stores around here were rapidly disappearing and I figured they wouldn't stick around long enough for another drop (and actually, the last of them did disappear a couple of days later). I felt dirty spending that much for a Target clearance game (I never spend that much for a Target clearance game), but given how much it would cost to buy the DLC separately, I decided it was worth it. Then this week, several more copies have suddenly appeared. I'm waiting on opening the one that I bought for myself until I see whether it gets any cheaper or not. I'm not expecting a drop to happen before Christmas on the one that I bought as a gift, though.

Long time reader, first time poster!

I just came back from Target and they price matched the gamestop 149.99 price on psp go and accepted my 50 dollars off coupon I got at carls. Minus my 100 dollar gift card for signing up with att I ended up paying 8.25 out of my pocket.

Gamestop ad's runs till today (I think) so go to your local target and try to price match, and use the coupon good luck.
