Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

saw a copy of Fable Limited Edition but it didn't have a clearance sticker on it, there was no employees around and I was in a hurry so I didn't get it scanned, wonder if I should go back?

I hit the jackpot today. Found a copy of Fable 3 LE tagged at $55.98 but scanned at $19.98! It was on the highest shelf on the endcap. Now what to do with it? Selling for $80-$100 on ebay but....hmmm... This was in Redwood City, CA btw.

Went to about 10 Targets in the past week(South West Volusia County - North East Seminole County -- Florida) and just about everywhere was empty; with the exception of the things that have been sitting there for months collecting dust. Really wish some of the Targets in my area were as 'sweet' as the ones in this thread. I live in an utter dead zone for gaming as well...lol
 
Just came back from the Target in Savage, MN and saw RE5:Gold Edition (360) for $20, Borderlands (360) for $15, and Red Steel 2(Wii) for $20. I didn't see anything for PS3, which is a bummer.

They pulled DAUE from the shelves (Lacey target) but it was still 60 bucks (wonder if pulling it means anything? Probably not). The dude mentioned they'd just finished clearancing their other dragon ages, so fingers crossed. I bit the bullet on it because their return period is 90 days - if in 90 days it hasn't gone down in price..well I don't know.

Here's a question - if I call a target, any target, can they check availability more accurately than online? And more importantly, price? I'm thinking of just finding a store that has it clearanced, in stock or not, and using the gift card technique.
 
Man all the Targets i went to where bucked naked! The last one i went did have a copy of Borderlands for 360 @ 14.98.Figure i might as well grab it for all the driving i did. I wonder when the inventory will come back.

Local store here showed "limited availability" for the Fable III CE, but I had no luck finding it. Every other store around here is sold out - looks like I missed the boat on that one.

Picked up Glory of Heracles for $7.48 today. Can anyone tell me if they enjoyed it? Seems like the reviews are so so.
 
Green Day finally dropped at my local store, but only to $20. Also, the clearance section is now gone! The whole thing has been replaced my regular inventory. No clearance games, no clearance accessories, no nothing.

They will only go as far as 50% off, and you will have to wait to see if they last 4 weeks for that. Walmart and Lego stores have clearance at 50% off now for most of the same sets as Target.
 
Vanquish :ps3: dpci is 207-24-0447 methinks. Has anyone seen that on clearance for 360? tons of stores around me have several copies which I think is unusual, so I'm hoping those hit after the new year.

Some of the Legos were started at 30% so those will hit 75%. For the Legos they started at 15% though, 50% is the best you're gonna get.

Thanks for this intel, and to the other person that mentioned the Lego stores and WalMart having 50% off now. It looks like the Star Wars sets are starting at 15% off at Target, and the World Racers sets are 30% off. Price adjuster told me they change the prices on toy clearance every Thursday so I will be back tomorrow to see if anything is a must buy (meanwhile I will hit Wally World today to see what I can salvage).

I just hope it doesn't take as long to get back to normal this time. Atleast in my area, clearance didn't get decent again until 2 months ago. It was all shovelware the 2 months prior to that. It wasn't even worth checking before that, even on a weekly basis.
 
When you guys say it's dead you're just referring to there being a complete lack of anything worth buying, not that they have no clearanced games whatsoever, right?

Nothing worth buying, although during the deeper droughts, the only thing you'll find on clearance are accessories for older gen iPods and such. But the circle of life will bring clearance deals back, don't worry. And don't listen to the Chicken Little "the new layout killed clearance!" cries.

That said, I am a huge Collector, are there other CEs or LEs on clearance besides Fable?

We still don't have Starcraft II CE on CLR yet (Still full price), but they are in the backstock, it seems. I heard reports of that on Clearance a long time ago in one of these threads, but the employees have to mark it down manually to have the price go down, right?

I wonder what price these are gonna be when Employees finally mark them. It's been a long time since it came out, so maybe like Fable III also for $19.99?? Hell, for that one I would even buy it for 50% off.

Many places seem to have completely sold out of clearance games in the leadup to Christmas. So they're gone.

Saw one a couple days ago at my Target for $27.xx marked down from $39.99. Clearance end cap was pretty much gone.

I've already posted this last night, but when I went to my local target that item was $19.xx. Then again as with all clearance it's YMMV.

No on 360. The PS3 version dropped to $14.98 here few weeks ago.
 
Totally forgot to report this and only remembered today as I was unpacking some shopping bags from before Christmas....

I scored a copy of Mass Effect 2 CE :pc: version a week or two before Christmas for a mere $10.06.....

I think so... Although, I've seen like 3 of the same item before at a store that said "online item" and had a crazy price - big shit, like strollers and stuff... So I don't think that would have been returned. Maybe it's like something strange gets left on a truck and they just drop them off at a store and they tag it with a crazy price sometimes.
 
Went to a different Target in the Houston area, and they had a lot of Fallout 3 GOTY:360::ps3: for 24.98, GD:RB:wii: for 7.48 and 19.98 for :360:. I also saw Borderlands:360: for 14.98, along with some crappy wii games.

That would be my guess (online purchase, return via B&M). I snagged Rescue me season 2 for ~$10 and the tag had "online" vs clearance in it.
 
$15 for DA:Origins Ultimate Ed. at the Washington, MI Target. I bought at $30 and rebought at $15 and returned with the original receipt. Can't beat all that content for $15!
 
Picked up:
2x White Knight Chronicles for PS3
1x Ninja Gaiden sigma 2 for PS3
1x Uncharted 2 for PS3
1x DragonAge origins for PS3

Each game was $9.99 :D

There were 2x Red Steel with the wii motion but passed on it at $20. Found my games on a random endcap because where they usually put the clearanced games were just some wii and PS2 games. Yes PS2. Nothing worth noting besides red steel. Seems clearance for the holidays disappeared.

Also worth noting, picked up a ton of cookies and candy and other food items including hickory farms meats from the holiday 75% off sale. Also a few Berts bees chap stick that rang up at .74 cents! Those are usually like $3 each!

There's a $1000 pair of binoculars at the Woodbridge Target with the online clearance sticker marked down to only $850.:applause::roll:
 
Was at target briefly a few hours ago. Clearance endcap had force unleashed 2 for 360 unmarked and black ops prestige unmarked. Didn't have time to scan them but were any reports of black ops on clearance? Or maybe my store has lazy employees.

Pure laziness from all the after-xmas returns. I saw unleashed and halo reach scanned them and they were regular price.
