Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Sorry forgot to mention force unleashed was the collectors which is in the op as clearance. There were about 6 copies too.. I'm thinking I'll find a reason to go back and check.

Found a copy of World of Warcraft Cataclysm Collectors Edition for $40.06 with the "online item" tag on it. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet though.

Also found a copy of Fallout 3 GOTY for $25, waiting on it to drop one more time and I'll pick it up.

I think I'll wait another week or so before I go back to Target. Don't want to waste the gas. If I can't find one for $14.98 or $9.98, I'll ask for a price adjustment off the one I bought for $27.98. That's worked for me, like, once ever.
 
Saw one copy Wii Motion Plus copy of Red Steel 2 at South Stafford/Falmouth, VA Target for $19.99. Don't know if that's a deal, but wanted to pass it along.

Everything else was $24.99 copies of GH:VH and $19.99 copies of Green Day Rock Band, all for 360.
 
The stores around me have a ton of CoD: Black Ops Prestige Editions, Halo Reach: LE, and Star Wars: TFU2 CE. If I'm not going to get a Fable III CE, at least let me get one of these...... *crosses fingers*

Yeah that's what I meant, it's the collectors edition. If it was the regular I wouldn't have even taken a second look at it for that price.
 
Dang it! I've been searching for Uncharted 2 for cheap. Ah well. I don't know how you people are still finding gold when all I find is crap. :)
 
Nothing but Guitar Hero at my Target, but I found a kickass wool coat orig. $79.99 for $20! Also PMed BB for SC: Conviction for $10. Pretty good haul for $32 after tax... :)

I found Fable 3 LE at the Oklahoma City south location while I was helping my sister move earlier today; it's the only store that had it in stock in the three states I've been in over the last few days. However, someone had stolen the book part and just left the game. I figured it was still worth 20 bucks, so I decided to buy it anyway. But wouldn't you know it, the bar code was on the part the thief stole, so the electronics lady said she couldn't sell it to me. I asked her to look it up in the system, but she said the best she would do (not could do, would do) is sell it to me for the price of the regular version. :roll:

Against my better judgment, I passed on that amazing offer.

I'm with you....been to four different Targets in NYC and now I'm on vacation in Texas and went to two more. Nothing...guess it's tome to give up.

Nothing around here lately, pretty dried up. Too bad I missed out on Fable 3 LE, I would've really dug that at 19.98. No copies anywhere I can see. Keeping my eye on a stack of Red Steel w/motion pluses holding tight at 19.98, hoping for another drop on that. One store had a stack of :ds: Yogi Bears for 20.98 already, didn't that movie just come out like last week? I'm sure it's utter garbage anyway, but that was fast.

A further update on the repack Biggest Loser :360: is that the disc refuses to read. So I have to attempt to switch it out in the morning. :(
 
FINALLY found a good deal! After months of envying all these people who find great deals all the time, I found Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition for $19.98 for the Xbox 360, I'll post that "DCPI" number in a bit.

I saw that open one when it was marked $55.98 .. next to it was a sealed one.

I posted last week about going back to that location and they were "sold out".
 
Found a Aliens vs. Predator (360) for $7.48. Not too bad given Amazon has it for $14.99 and Gamestop still sells for $24.99 used.
 
I just got back from my target and bought the last new copy of fallout new vegas for 19.99$!!! It said that another ps3 game called shawn white snowboarding ( not really sure) was sold out so they put fallout new vegas as substitute sale for it. YMMV

I remember someone posting about this before, I think it was said it's random what those cards print out for the substitution so not only does the store have to have the game sold out, but also has to have printed that random card for the that game as the substitution. So great find.

Don't feel bad fellow CAGer. About two weeks ago, my Target in Plymouth, MN had about 10 copies of Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition marked at $30 on Sunday. Came back the next day at 8:30 AM and the whole stack was gone. The interesting thing was el hoarder only took the PS3 version, leaving the XBOX360 version alone even though it, too, was reduced to $15. Too bad, I only have a PS3. Maybe next time, I'll show up at 8:00 AM just to see who this person is.

One of my local Target's was almost wiped completely out, had like two 360 games (Rock Band Hero) or whatever it's called and another music game, a couple of PS3 games and that was it. :cry:

Lacey has one DAUE in stock, Tacoma (by the mall) 4. Both are 60. Buuut, the Olympia store (sold out) has the 15 dollar price point. I think you know what to do with that...I sure do

Heh, I don't think I'm even interested in this one, I'm just glad to see it finally drop. It's been sitting on the clearance shelves here at $20.98 for what seems like forever. Other titles (including much more interesting ones like the Dragon Age Ultimate Edition) have come and gone in that time, and it hasn't changed. I've been getting tired of seeing it. :lol:

Any word on Fallout GOTY for 360 falling? I have the regular release version but I wouldn't mind playing through the DLC. For the right price of course.

That's awful.

How did you know how many copies they had? Might sound like a dumb question if you just saw them at the store, but I thought maybe you had a better way of finding them than the DPCI or ASIN checkers.

I used the DPCI checker, and one store near me just said it had the game "Available" (and it still says that) but they had nothing when I got there.

i found a 360 Fallout 3 GOTY for 12.48 yesterday. looks like it was probably returned recently as they had 2 copies of band hero and that.

It was still stickers at 24.98 so obviously the drop happened without the sticker
