Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

find finds... now off to call target to see if they hopefully have some of those titles I want. kinda sucks for me the nearest target is close to 2 hours away.

They do it so people don't hide them and rip off the store. I know plenty of CAGs do this, no one to blame but yourselves.

Its probably due to theft... A lot of people cutting the plastic and swiping the disc out the side of the game box. My Target puts 90% of clearance games in individual clear plastic cases for security. If that doesn't work for a store, people must be swiping the games with the plastic cases intact, hence removing them from the public's grasp.

People and CAGs hiding clearance games is annoying but its probably not the main reason for locking the games up beyond public reach.

That could be a good thing. If regular customers have a harder time seeing the prices and buying clearance, the barcode wielding CAGers could see more games drop to 75% off. :whistle2:k

Damn a 2 hour drive that sucks. In a 2 hour drive I can hit about 10+ Targets in California!
 
I did a return/rebuy on Dragon Age Ultimate x360. I told the clerk I wanted to pay cash instead of having it on my card. Paid $29.98 and now got it for $14.98. Simple and easy process.

agreed that locking up the clearance games would be a boon to us hardcore cag's that can come in with a barcode sheet...that eliminates almost ALL of the soccer moms...

Also saw an empty shelf spot with NFS: undercover price at 4.98 for the

. Store didn't have any in stock, so I don't know if they ever sold any at that price or if it's simply a reoccurrence of what Targets were doing back when they first switched to the new display cases.

I'm sure its been asked somewhere in the multitude of pages, and I looked in the op of this and past threads, and I've been followin pretty regularly and havent seen it lately.......

Had a game scan @ $0.00 today, but it was one of the OLD style scanners, no touch screen, no keyapad. I'm guessin that means not in the system anymore, right? Either way, it sure looked funny :)
 
Went to a few Target's today between work and home. Was looking for Dragon Age: Ultimate, but no luck. I did pick up :360: Fallout 3 GOTY for $12.98, so that rocks.
 
Woo hoo! Grabbed the last Green Day Rock Band for $10. Otherwise the clearance items at my nearest Target left a lot to be desired. Lots of Backbreaker and Van Halen.
 
Had to hit another store today while I was way out in the 'burbs. Couldn't decide which of the Assassins Creed toys I wanted at 6.48 each, so I grabbed both colors. Why not at 50% off, right?

the $0.00 dollar tag means that the game was on clearance for too long, and can't be sold anymore. The game is marked as salvage and sold to somewhere for some price that's a bit higher than nothing. I saw the Total War collection the other day for PC for $0.00 and they wouldn't sell it. :(

Anyone see Dragon Age:UE on clearance in the WNY region? The eastern hills store still has it for 59.99

Grabbed an RE5 Gold for $9.98 tonight. Two Targets have started clearancing stacks of Trauma Team as well (didn't see it on the master list). It's $27.98 right now... hoping it'll drop to $10 eventually.
 
Two of my local Target's Clearance sections have magically disappeared. I know it had been mentioned, but I'm guessing it was because of the holidays?

All that's left is lots of Band Hero, GH: Green Day and GH5 (PS2). Mad annoying
 
Picked up GTA Episodes from Liberty City 360 for $7.48. Tag was marked $20.98, and it must have popped out of nowhere because that store didn't have it the last few times I checked.

Waiting paid off, almost bought it from amazon for ~$16 on the last deal. So now after paying $10 for GTA4, paid $17.48 for the complete collection.
 
I'm so jealous. My Target has had nothing but Guitar Hero: Van Halen, Beatles Rockband, Band Hero, and Green Day Rockband.

Although, I went there today and found Bayonetta in the clearance for a whopping $41.98 with Naughty Bear right next to it for $34.98. A real bargain, eh?

Did see a bunch of Resistance: Retribution and Motorstorm: Arctic Edge for $10.48 though.
 
picked up Grand Theft Auto 4 episodes for 7.98 and WWE SVR 2010 7.98. Both :360:
saw UFC undisputed :360: 7.98. Trauma Center :wii: 27.98. Assassins Creed :psp:
 
Not VG related, but I saw the Empire Strikes Back 30th Anniversary Target Exclusive set for $12.48 today (75% off of $50), in case anyone was looking for this.

All the 75% off video games have been wiped clean in my area, but I see that many of the stores have added some more stuff that's just starting the cycle (like Bayonetta... which has been MUCH lower everywhere else already).
 
Anyone find anything at any Phoenix, Arizona area Target's? The two closest to me never seem to have much of anything. Mostly looking for Fallout 3 GOTY.

From what I have seen while making my rounds the Fallout 3 GOTY are at $24.48 right now and are getting pretty scarce. I was holding out for the $12.48 price but I don't think they are going to last. There have been a number of deals online where you could score them for $25 shipped.

What have you seen and where?

Earlier this week I was seeing the standard Xbox 360 stuff for $20.98 and a few other items that had newly dropped but were not noteworthy.

Do you recall what stores still had Fallout 3 GOTY in stock? Called 3 nearby and none had it. Well two didn't have it and one never answered the phone in electronics.
 
I'm gonna have to all but say El Hoardo struck Chicago hard this week. I hit 8 Targets over 3 days and all the Red Steel's were gone. Last week, I saw a pretty good sized stack(8+) at atleast 5 of those stores for 19.98. My only guess is they dropped to 9.98 this week and that evil fat bastard came in and swooped them all up. :bomb: I guess I can scratch that one off my want list.

Ummm... Dude... Game hit 75% off on Monday. You're really bitching because you waited until Friday and figured they'd just be sitting around waiting for you? It was more likely the 3000 people that walk through Target all week and said "Wow - a $10 game for Wii! Wonder if my kid would play this?"

I'm pretty sure no El Hoardos hit my area, since I didn't get out until late afternoon on Monday and had my pick of games in each store. by Wednesday, they were pretty much cleared out. Don't be lazy next time. Check on Monday.

I didn't wait until today to check, I went to these stores over the course of the entire week, starting Monday.

There are at least 20 CAGs and 15 SDers (that I have seen or met) in North Chicago. Someone has been hitting my territory pretty hard for the past year or two. One of the guys that buys stuff up runs a "play n trade". There are more and more Gamestop flippers which drives me nuts... Someone willing to buy up everything just to make a few bucks off trades.

We need to organize a Chicago CAG network to take back our turf. :twoguns:

A pile of Naughty Bear games (didn't even bother looking at the price) at the one at 7th and bell
 
Picked up:

:360: Fallout 3 GOTY - $12.48
:360: Alpha Protocol - $7.48

This was at 2 different Targets. Alpha Protocol was tagged at $14.98 and FO3 at $34.98. I'm surprised that I was able to find them so late in the week especially since I really wasn't even looking for them. I was at Target looking for some Leapfrog toys for my son's upcoming birthday.

For anyone interested, I found the Star Wars Mini-Muggs 3-pack sets clearanced at $9.08. I was able to get one each of the Bounty Hunters and Grievous sets.

So im on my way to pa from ny. im looking on the side of the h ighway thru the trees i spot a target i immediately pull over agnd get to the target stop off at a random target in jersey and find mass effect 2 for 5$ and fall out goty for 13$. i purchase them cause they were in the case. i found mass effect 2 purchased looked told her i want fallout have her scan the price and she says its on cleranc e too. then i purchase it she goes any other games im like n o and she goes we have more clearance games back there(i knew that) going in blind without scanning helps. dragon ages was still $60. im happy n ow! oh and saw tons of naaught b ear for $35 clearance. now to go skiing.
