Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
I've never seen a SC II CE. I wanted it badly. I'd buy it for $50 without a second thought. To get it at $25 is criminal.
+1

I tried 4 zip codes and I can not find a store with it in stock within 100 miles.

Went to my Target today and I saw The Fight for 19.98 and Iron Man 2 (360) for 9.98. They had a lot of Nintendo clearance too and I found the Nintendo Monopoly in the toys section for 14.98, although technically it's classified as an electronic item (Department 207 is an electronic department). Again, no clearance update from me this Sunday...my hours are still low.
Why do ALL the stores I go to ONLY have Naughty Bear! It's UNBELIEVABLE!
Sing it to the pillow pet jingle.

It's naughty.
It's a bear.
It's a NAUGHTY BEAR!
Dude, what you don't realize is NO one in that category are crazy about the Starcraft 2 CEs! We still have 9-10 copies left for $49.99 .... It WILL drop $24.98 too next week unless people from Cheap Ass Gamer forum have NO patience!
Dude, what you don't realize it that people CAN fucking read. And if a soccer mom sees a computer game that was $100 and now it's 50 or 25 and their kid has ANY interest in games, she's probably going to fucking buy it. I would say that if you still have 9-10 copies left and it's at $50, there probably aren't CAGs in your area - 'cause with the interest that it gets here, they would have great trade bait for just about anything they wanted...

Couple Targets near me (mesa AZ) have Black Ops Prestige Edition for $127.48. Not that good of a deal, but since the sign read 30% or more off clearance, I got one of the stores to sell it to me for $105. Maybe to some, still not a great price, but at that price, I was not going to pass it up.

Anyone else feel like the Target clearance has been crap for the last... 6 months or so? I remember the days when games would get marked down faster, and there was more variety. Now it's just 3 dozen boxes of AoE III and some license crap on the DS.

Did :pc: Borderlands GOTY clearance out when I wasn't looking? My two closest stores both don't carry it, and claim no other stores carry it either (although this could be a case of noob/unhelpful employees). Thanks on advance!

Very much so. This week I picked up 2 PS3 games and before that it has been a few months. One Target near me hasn't had any games in the clearance section in about 3 months.

I'd been watching a pile of like 15 copies of :360: Naughty Bear at this one Target across town. They sat at $30-ish for a looong time. Must've finally dropped because all were gone today, did I smell El Hoardo?

From what I read here, southern CA isn't a great place for Target clearance. Things haven't been mindblowing here in the past few weeks, but going back a couple months the deals were great, in my opinion. (Oblivion GOTY, Fallout 3 GOTY, Dragon's Age collection, Fable III CE, Bioshock 2 CE, Resident Evil 5 Gold, etc.)

Lots of times if they still don't move on clearance the store will remove them for a while and put them back out later. I've had this happen with tons of stuff (not just games) at my Target. I think el hoardo gets falsely accused a lot of the time.
Dude, what you don't realize is NO one in that category are crazy about the Starcraft 2 CEs! We still have 9-10 copies left for $49.99 .... It WILL drop $24.98 too next week unless people from Cheap Ass Gamer forum have NO patience!
Man, seriously if you still have that many when it drops to $25 BUY ME ONE and I will do the usual (pay for shipping and throw in a little extra).

That goes for me as well (as long as the box is sealed and is in great condition).

The problem with SoCal is the population here-- there are just too many people on the prowl. You pretty much have to go Monday mornings, if not 5 minutes before the clearance crew comes through, to have a chance. Anything good doesn't even survive until Monday night. (and even many bad deals don't make it!)

Welp, the Targets around me are cleaned out of the Nintendo Monopoly sets as well as the Yahtzees. Someone must've wiped them all out in one shot, because there were quite a few at my store.

If anyone comes across a set of each, let me know and I can compensate you for helping me get these. I want to have them for when my son gets old enough to play games like these, 'cause he's totally going to be a Mario kiddo... haha.

Everything was cleared out at my Target except for Trauma Team (still at $19.98). I did pick up a couple of Mario Yahtzees at $7.48 and several Mario Kart/Mario Super Sluggers rolling backpacks at $4.98.

Went to a local Target to check up on the 3 SC2's I saw there last time I was there. Sticker price was sitting at $69.xx.

Got all excited since reports from a few people said that their Targets had them at $25.xx. Scanned them and they were in fact at $69.xx... gonna wait another week and check back. Hopefully they hit the 50% off.

My Target merged the clearance endcap with the endcap next to it full of cheap shovelware games. In the distance, it looks like they restocked the clearance, but when I saw 'Project Runway' and other crap, I instantly knew what they did. The only decent looking thing was the Speed Racer Movie game for the Wii, which is suppose to be an okay F-Zero clone until Nintendo decides to make a true F-Zero Wii (which will never happen in my lifetime), for $15.
Did :pc: Borderlands GOTY clearance out when I wasn't looking? My two closest stores both don't carry it, and claim no other stores carry it either (although this could be a case of noob/unhelpful employees). Thanks on advance!
it's possible, but the stores by me have it, and they just price cut it to 39.99

Just got back from a Target that I go to about once a month and here is what I picked up:

:360:
Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 $7.48

:psp:
Iron Man 2 $4.98
[207-20-0415] Naruto Shippuden Legends: Akatsuki Rising $7.48

It's kind of weird that there are suddenly a ton of reports of the SCII CE being clearanced. I thought most of them were clearanced out months ago?

I found a SC2 CE. I hadn't seen one at a Target since October, if not earlier, and it's the only one left in a Target in the San Diego area, that I know of. I picked it up, even though it's $70... Figured I likely won't find it cheaper, since I've not seen one anywhere else in stores this year.

Saw Pacific Liberator :wii: for 7.48 today. I had never seen it before, and never even heard of it either. Looks decent, probably because I like war-related games, but I have zero confidence it's any good. Opinions? Also saw 6 StarCraft 2 c.e.'s today, all $70, which is amazing, because no Target in my area ever even had these on launch, and never had any in stock for the, what, like 6+ months this game has been out. I find it pretty dumb that a distribution center would sit on a game like this until it hits clearance, then decide to send it to stores, but whatever, it's for our gain I guess.

Direct 2 Drive has it on sale for $15 this weekend.

I finally got around to picking up Naughty Bear for $12.48. This store also had Trauma Team but still at $19.98 and MUA2 PSP at 50% off.

You guys are lucky! My target sucks, I went in hoping to find Naughty Bear, with no luck. They had 2 of the ps3 move games on clearance, and that was it. They dont even have a clearance endcap anymore. I miss finding good deals!

Easton - Columbus, Ohio

Had the COD:BOPS collectors box for $129.XX

The rest of their selection was PS3/Wii/PSP shovelware.

My Target been sucking too.
The only thing I saw was COD:BO with remote car $127.99
PSP games ( no good)
rock band 2 set for the wii overpriced and from a online return order.
I saw Mario Chess for 9.98 but passed since I'm on a tight budget right now.
Aw damn. I haven't been able to get to Target, and while admittedly I'd probably snag it at $20, I would've killed to pay $10. D:
I can't find a copy of Starcraft 2 anywhere. If anyone can get me a copy for $25, I'll pay for your gas, shipping and extra....
same here i doubt i will see sc2 ce at my target b/c the clearance there sux they got bayonetta for the x-box priced at 41.99.

Found a Starcraft II CE, but it was $70 too, so i'll wait a bit. I'm not a huge Starcraft fan so I can hold off for it to be cheaper.

But I can't seem to find any of the Mario sets. have you guys been finding them in gaming or in toys?

Gotta make a drive to the other side of town tommorow, had my eye on a Halo Reach Legendary Edition (Slightly torn up box, but otherwise good), for the past month. If it drops to anything below 59.99, i'd so go for it. (Was 79.99 last week, and like 125$ the week before)
But I can't seem to find any of the Mario sets. have you guys been finding them in gaming or in toys?
In the seasonal "bulk items" section.
In the seasonal "bulk items" section.
Technically they're supposed to be in electronics since they have DPCI 207 but I found my set in toys because well...they're toys. Check both areas to be sure.

Same here. My Target stores around here hadn't had any games in their clearance section until now, but only a few. They had about 3 copies each of the Move games The Fight and The Shoot for 1/2 off at $19.99, (The Fight iat $20 is a good deal, but not the Shoot, which should be less than $10). The work out game with Mel B is also at $19.99. And the only other game they had there was a copy of Bayonetta for the Xbox 360 at $16.99.
Starcraft II CEs $24.xx with 8+ copies left!!! Crazy, could be $12.xx next week if people are MORE patient?
Yes - you should wait until they hit 6.25, because that's what it'll do after it goes to 12.xx!!!!

Next drop would be at 85%, and likely won't get there. Don't think anyone had seen 85% in a long time.

That's not patient enough. You gotta wait till it's out of the system, then it's free.

So has anyone actually bought and played pacific liberator? It seems utterly terrible but I just played Swords ($7.48 FTL) and it can't be much worse than that.

Since so many people are seeing SC II CE's I have to assume that they've restocked. There were really no reports of these for a while and now tons. Maybe they gathered them up from the stores they didn't sell and redistributed or something.
