Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I just got back from Target. I bought Trauma Team Wii for $9.98 and Pokemon Ranger DS for $7.48. I saw Iron Man 2 PSP for $4.98. Is it worth the buy at that price? It is pretty cheap.
NEWWWWWWWWWW 818 area

saw 3 games for the ps3 MOVE ... one of them was Fight ... dame i cant remember the other 2 but all 3 where $20 ea.

Target on Sepulveda near the 405....
I didn't see any copies recently of Starcraft CE, and I was hunting around 5-6 Targets.... a lot of people are claiming this deal over the country, but here in Southern California, it looks pretty dry!!!!!

I got called in to work today and Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2011 bundle for PS3 was on clearance for 59.xx

They also had DJ Hero Software for 34.98, which is a joke because they TPC'ed the bundle for 30 to make room for DJ Hero 2.

And all the Nintendo Monopoly's were gone at my store. Glad I bought one.

This line is not clearance related but did anyone else notice at Target that Dual Shock 3s are now 57.99? Not that I buy controllers at retail price, but this is blasphemy!

 The last time it was worth buying any type of controller at Target was the :360: wired controller for $9.xx.

Does anyone have the DPCI for :360:Apache Air Assault? I punched in the DPCI on the Target website (241-24-1206) in store but it came up as item not found.

Super Mario jigsaw puzzle - $2.48

I didn't grab it because that store didn't have anything else I wanted and it was the first one I checked, but I'm gonna go back tomorrow and snag it if there are any left. I'll post the DPCI if I can get one.
http://sites.target.com/site/en/spot/mobile_fiats.jsp?title=fiats&dpci=201-02-0734 for SC2LE. Scored myself - only one of 10 stores in area listed at Limited Avail, rest were out of stock. Now that store is OOS too.
Thanks for that link. Managed to find one in the Arnold, MO store, sitting right out with the rest of the PC games on the endcap, not in any clearance section. Not that I could find the clearance section in that store, though it's not one of my normal haunts.
just got back and got the StarCraft 2 collection for $25 and they still had a few left. North Raleigh location (behind TTC mall) for those local.
hopefully they have 1 left on Wednesday b/c i was planning on going there.
http://sites.target.com/site/en/spot/mobile_fiats.jsp?title=fiats&dpci=201-02-0734 for SC2LE. Scored myself - only one of 10 stores in area listed at Limited Avail, rest were out of stock. Now that store is OOS too.
Does anyone know how accurate this thing is? I checked several zip codes in my area, even in areas much farther than I'd be willing to travel, and not a single store was listed as having it in stock. Am I just that unlucky?..

Most stores didn't get any of the CE and those that did didn't get many so they are probably sold out near you. Only 1 store was showing up with any near me and that's where I found the one I got.

it's like that for me too, the 20 stores that are closest to me all say out of stock

I will add one to the pointless re-mentions of getting Trauma Team for $10 today. Even though it's only saving about $10, I felt unusually lucky to find it at this price. It's like a child that I watched slowly drop from $40 to $28 to $20 to $10. Surprised all my stores actually had multiple copies left. It's not like it's a naughty bear. Also had the clerk scan monster hunter tri on the display, no clearance here.

Also, one store that never had the mario games now has a few monopolies and yahtzees on an endcap in the regular toy section at 50%. Scanned them to make sure but not showing as 75% as some are reporting.

It also looks like they are cleaning out all those bulk sections where the mario stuff/2-pack DVD shows used to be and replacing it with outdoor pots and patio type of stuff. Oh well, I was starting to like the good deals I would find hiding back in the corner of the store.
Picked up Trauma Team for wii for 10 bucks.

Saw
2 COD Prestige editions for that 127 price still.
I can also confirm on the Trauma Team price of 9.98. I got there today and the whole section was ravaged. I proceeded to look through it, and it was buried at the bottom under some random ipad sleeves and stuff. Something hit my Target earlier with 80% of the games being bought up compared to last week, but it seems like they over looked it so I'm pretty content.

every year that comes, and the Target Clearance Deals, are moving slowly..... not like 2-3 years ago, where huge deals were coming every month...... maybe because of the remodel from all the Target Stores a year ago.

Right now, looks decent, but....

I stopped by 2 Targets in the East Bay.

I saw:
:ps3: DJ Hero (sw only) $34.xx
:360: Bayonetta $14.xx
:360: Beatles RB $7.xx
:ps3: The Shoot $19.xx
:ps3: The Fight: Lights Out $19.xx
:ps3: Get Fit with Mel B $19.xx

and picked up :wii: Trauma Team for $9.xx. I'm glad that I bought the Nintendo/Mario items that were on clearance last week for 50% off because everything was gone this week.

Goto a Target or call one ask them to check inventory for you.... that's more accurate I THINK
I just came back from Target and also picked up a lone copy of :pc:SC2:CE for $24.98 :D It was far from the :pc:games section. Oh and finally found a copy of :360:Naughty Bear for $12.98. There were several left.
Dude, which one was this at?! Ah well I don't need more games.

Saw :360: Bayonetta for $14.xx. Is that news or no?
Goto a Target or call one ask them to check inventory for you.... that's more accurate I THINK
All Targets run off the same inventory system -- unless someone is going and physically checking to see if something is in the backroom (the vast majority just check inventory on the gun, which is linked to the same inventory system Target.com uses), you aren't going to get any different results by calling.

Alright, it just seems like everyone and their mothers in this thread found one, and several people are saying they've never even seen that CE in their store before.

The same thing happened with the Fable III LE. I shop Targets around me regularly and never saw them displayed until they went on clearance.

This also happened with the SCII CE. I never saw one on the shelf until they were on clearance and then I saw 5 - 10 at several stores. It does not seem to make sense to not display these titles and possibly sell some at full retail.

My closest Target had 5 copies at $70 this weekend. All clearance was at 30% off. I had to stop in to get milk and meds last night, so checked the endcap and all were gone. Everything (except CoD Prestige) went directly from 30% to 75% off. There were 4 Trauma Teams left, but nearly everything else was gone.

I just was about to post this. Very good price for a good Move game
I just was about to post this. Very good price for a good Move game
Just a heads up - The Fight requires 2 Move controllers. So if you don't have two and don't plan on getting two, don't buy it.

I did pick up The Shoot. I enjoyed the demo when I played it a few months ago, glad I could score it for $20.
Huh. The store that went out of stock according to inventory tracker just went back to Limited Availability for SC2 LE.
Same thing for the store I picked mine up, as well as another one that went from Limited Availability to Out Of Stock last night is now back as Limited Availability.

ugh this sucks the closest store that has it is 40miles away =(. anyone here able to grab one for cost plus shipping would be greatly appreciated.

should the price checker scanners scattered around the target store display the discounted price or normal retail? I found a bunch of old games in the back on a random shelf and checked them on one of those scanners but the prices displayed seemed to be full price.

Price scanners will show the same as the register, they're linked to the same software as the PDTs (handhelds).

YMMV but this was how it is at my target, has been since i worked there years ago.
Great, now you guys have me wondering if I should drive 45 minutes to a store showing limited avail. just to find out it's still $60.
Call and ask for guest service. Youll get the customer service counter which is 99% old ladies and high school girls. Give them the DPCI and ask for a price check, they should be able to do it at their register instead of calling electronics employees who might take it for themselves as the receptionist will do.

Possibly a return-rebuy? None of the stores near me have any in stock

Mario stuff at 75% today.

Plush backpacks - $3.74
Monopoly - $7.48
Coin plush - $1.48
Puzzle - $2.48
Rolling backpacks - $4.98

Went to the Target in Meyerland (Houston,TX) and picked up 360 Bayonetta for $15, PS3 Dante's Inferno $10 and repurchased Trauma Team for $10 (returned it and got my $20 I had spent on Saturday).

Any SCII CEs? :D

What's the deal with return-rebuys on items that are out of stock? I'd imagine it's a YMMV thing, but with the SC2:CE last week at $70 and it dropping to $25 already...

Yesterday (around lunch EST):
8 x SC2 CEs for $49.xx
Today (around lunch EST):
1 x SC2 CEs for $24.xx  (Grabbed it! w00t!)

Anxiously awaiting The Fight and The Shoot to drop to $9.xx locally.

donssword: If you're need of Trauma Team, PM me. I can tell you a couple of Targets that have it for $9.xx.
OP updated, not a great week for drops unless you got in on the SC II CE for $24.xx
That game alone with trauma team for $9.xx makes this weeks clearance better than some still.

Congrats to all the lucky bastardos who found SC II CE so cheap! :applause:

Massive strikout here. A couple of stores had them 2 weeks ago for $100 and $70. Then they disappeared. One distant store showed it available using the special search, but it was gone. I'd jump on it for $25. :wall:

DAMN! A store near me had Available for the SCII Collector's this morning but now its out of stock! Was gonna head out right now.

Work happens.

I got the puzzle for $4.99. I guess I should have waited a while longer.
