Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

There were a ton of PSP games last week... went as far down at 50%. This week, they were all gone except for a lone copy of Jak and Daxter for $5 (which I picked up due to your guys' recommendations.)

I saw 4 copies of DA:O UE for $25 :ps3: at the Kansas City I-35/Chouteau Target today. Looks like the 360 version is long gone.

No other noticeable games except Halo: Reach Legendary box $105 at that Target

Very disappointing day for Target clearance...still waiting for Dragon Age Origins UE to drop from $34.98...Did see:

:wii:
Project Runway (207-26-0568) -$13.98
:wii:
Barbie Groom And Glam Pups (207-26-0731) -$13.98
:wii:
Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader Game Time (207-26-0486) -$13.98
:360:
Split Second (207-22-0459) - $20.98
:360:
Prince Of Persia Forgotten Sands (207-22-0463 ) - $9.98
I saw this one too.
Yeah, and it's $12.49 too high for me. :) One thing I learned about Target clearance is that if you wait, it will drop... or someone who is willing to pay the slightly discounted price will take it... I have yet to spot an elusive El Hoardo, but he does indeed exist.
(Today, I did grab a cordless phone set w/ answering machine for 15% off; the one I got was Panasonic DECT 6.0 Answering Machine KX-TG1032 with DCPI 080 07 0162, in case you want to hunt down one too; I grabbed the last one at the Target Atlanta Midtown; there were tons of other phones on clearance (15% off) in the cordless phone section for those interested).

Surprised to see the DS Lites on clearance, store near me had 6 of them. Also 1 :ps3: SWTFU2 CE that I passed on because the contents don't sound like even $40 value to me. Didn't see this on the list, though:

:wii: Iron Man 2 9.98 - No DCPI though, sorry

Still waiting on Starwars to drop to 20... theres so many I find it unlikely they will die off prior... also if anyone is interested I saw a 3ds display with the system at one of the targets today.

Saw 2 DA:UE on 360 for $25. Also saw a copy of SWFU2 CE for $40. Nothing special...

but I went to two stores. First store, I saw literally 70+ Animal Crossing for $20. I actually took a picture. Second one had about 50 copies.

Second one also had Super Mario Galaxy and Sluggers for $25.

Edit: :wii: Super Mario Galaxy 207 260 121
207 26 0177 - Wii Mario Super Sluggers $24.98
First time I've seen this, was $34.98 here.

Bust for me. Someone took all 5+ copies of :ps3:Transformers: War for Cybertron at $9.98. I watched them like a hawk at $19.98, then they mysteriously all disappeared at the same time.

How long does the self scanner station work for punching in DPCI numbers? Like I type in Dragon Age Ultimate and it says "item not found" because they've been long gone. But I type some $5 game from who knows when and it still says $4.98 and I can't find the damn game anywhere in the store

Will work as long as the inventory system still thinks a copy is around. Unfortunately due to shrinkage it's common for inventory to be off by one or two, especially for clearance games (as they're not in the cases).

A gentleman from another deal site that I frequent posted a deal on Halo Reach Legendary Edition.
He found 2 copies for $37.48 at his local Target in Santee, CA. He posted pics.
I don't know what link etiquette is here; but, if it's allowed I'll post link to thread.

Saw on the front page of SD under the "Up and Coming Topics" section a guy found the Halo Reach Legendary set for $37.48. He had pics and said there were 2 at his location and upon returning to purchase they were gone.

I can only imagine this will be the case going if people are finding it for 37.48. The flaming helmet dlc goes for 50-70 on eBay alone. The worst part is the SD'ers will buy to sell instead of wanting to own it like so many here.

That price is going to vary from store to store, as with everything in this thread. Reach is still $7x at all my locals.

Visited 4 of my 5 Indy-area Targets earlier Monday (W 38th, Nora, Carmel, and Castleton). Nothing exciting. One of the four had Halo Box @ 74.xx, the others still @ 104.xx. Kinda kickin myself since I bought this for my kid over Xmas and they were so hard to find, but I saw a few ICarly DS games for 9.xx. All PS2s were gone @ all 4, too.

I'm waiting for the electric guitar to drop, but it held strong @ 9x.xx. I did see a tabletop drum set with headphones for like 32.xx. Intrigued me cuz my daughter loves playing Rock Band drums, but looked it up on Amazon while in store and its about the same price. Also, the star wars game held @ last weeks prices. I did see NHL2K10 for Wii for 9.xx, but passed cuz its shitty.

Only thing I picked up was Backyard Sports: Sandlot Sluggers for DS for 4.xx.

Will post what I find @ Fishers Super tomorrow.

Still $104 at mine as of about 2pm yesterday. I might head back either today or Thursday (maybe just a quick run Wed to check specifically for that) because sometimes they adjust stuff mid-week. But yeah I'll buy at $37 or whatever but definitely not 75.

PS3/360/Wii version is crappy. I refer DS version is SUPERIOR :)

Also saw Super Mario Sluggers for $24.98 and GT PSP for $9.98. They had the Reach Legendary for $104.98, but it was torn open as well.

Fishers Super has 5 Xbox DefJams for 12.xx, excitebots and star wars holding out @ 24.xx and 39.xx. Halo Legendary here @ 74.xx, too.

So far, in the Sacramento area, I have only located one store with the :360: version of DAO:UE still in stock.

And it was $34.98 (even scanned it at lunch to doublecheck).

Bah.

TFU2CE is still 40.
I saw Split/Second (360) for 20.98
Animal Crossing (Wii) 24.98
Vanquish (PS3) 27.xx
And a lot of Wii shovelware.

The clearance guys at my store were throwing games into a cart. When they wandered away, I took a look at what was in there. It was all PS3 stuff. UFC 2010, Infamous and some other random stuff. Nothing notable and nothing had been stickered yet.

If anyone sees Gran turismo, Motorstorm arctic edge, or any good PSP games for under ten, get them and Ill buy them off of you+shipping!

My target is complete CRAP

Kannapolis (Afton Ridge), NC

Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition X360 for $12.48. 2 copies left.
Nothing else for X360, GH:VH for PS3 & junk for the Wii.

damn you people in sacramento .. leave DAO alone ... saw 2 ps3 at the one on calvine came back a few hours later and they gone at 24.98 ... jeez cant seem to find anything beside wii stuff. samurai warrior 3 12.48 but i dont want it.

Just saw 40+ (yes 40 not 4) Nintendo DS XL Mario Kart Bundles in Gainesville, FL for $124.98. There's so many of them they're on 3 endcap shelves and more on the GameBoy aisle.

Will these get past 75% off? I've seen games go to 90% in years past, have they changed?

This could be epic.

I would have bought it at that price without thinking about it.

Did you happen to get the DCPI number? Might want to see if any targets around me have a copy.

No, sorry I was in and out pretty quick. But I did get a free avocado burger at Chilis today after visting Target, see SlickDeals for the specifics. You sign up 10 "friends" for their email club and get a burger coupon. Gmail plus sign trick works like a charm. Love free food.

thats funny because I was just at the gainesville store as well and almost bought one. These mario bundles seems to go pretty good on ebay(160s) but I dont need one. I'm sure they will be there tomorrow... they won't make it past this price point though... Also Halo Reach Legendary was 104.98 and ds accessory kit was 24.98 and old 360 60gb hd was 69.98, I think

I don't need/ want one either. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. I bet there's a good chance more than half of them will make it to or beyond the 50% drop. There's a ton of them.
Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition X360 for $12.48.
How much % off is this? Could it get lower?

lol well it's good you don't want one, after posting the location ... you won't be finding one ...
but meh, your choice ...

I usually don't say things like this but you would be a fool not to get it at $12.xx.
Better tape one to the bottom of a counter just to be safe.
I lolled.

That is pretty epic, I would pick one up if they got low enough, despite the fact that I already have two DSs, and don't need it. I mean, c'mon... it's limited!

What he said. Skip a couple of trips to Starbucks and its paid for.
I considered getting Worms Battle Islands for Wii which was $20.98 since they only had one, but ended up not getting it. Hopefully no one buys it and it drops to a better price.
Its worth it at that price, and not a common game. Not all Targets have it, and no other B&M stores seem to have it in stock. It has online play, but I haven't tried it yet.

about the DA origins ultimate edition.. did they finally fix the friggin dex bug in that version or not? I gave up on the game/series (and for a while Bioware period) after they flat out seemed to refuse to patch it in the damn console version

If that happened around here I'm sure they'd totally sell out at $124.98.

No one in my area has patience, or there are just too many shoppers who flip out at "CLEARANCE".

(of course I was at a Blockbuster this weekend near my local Target and it was PACKED full of people buying DVDs at 10% off in a STORE CLOSING CLEARANCE so I think I know my answer for the above)
