Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Managed to snag SWFUII CE for $19.98 yesterday; clearance price read 55.88 or whatever the previous price was, but it rang up correctly. Couple Super Mario Sluggers for $24.xx, some Wii shovelware, a DA:O Ultimate for $12.48, which I would've been stoked about had I not bit on EA's $20 flash deal. No DS's of any kind that I noticed. About 10 Fifa Africa for $9.98. All in all a good find, the DCPI trick in the OP said that SWFUII was not available at the store, but followed my instincts and got lucky :)
 
Went to a far target and found goodies like STFU2 CE and a PS2 but I forgot my money... Will probably go next week when clearances drop again and hope those items stay. I also found like 10 DS lite whites for like $100. Could the DS systems go lower. I also saw a Hannah Montana PSP but I don't think those are on clearance.
 
Was at Culpeper, VA and South Stafford (Falmouth) stores yesterday and today. Culpeper had :360: TFU2CE for $39.99, tons of assorted :wii: games. South Stafford was full of assosrted :wii: games. No :ps3: clearance at either store.

I guess when I go to pick up a Fallout NV CE later I probably shouldn't tell them I just flipped the used copy I just bought on Amazon, lol (didn't plan to, but lets see...return it for $18 or flip it on Amazon for $25).

Yeah. That's it unfortunately. I almost returned the copy I picked up last night for $20 and I'm still considering it due to the damage on the steelbook and the plastic sleeve the game/steelbook/USB drive are in from the damned stickers.

Then again it was my fault somewhat for taking the clearance stickers off the front part of the sleeve when they were right on the printed part of it.:cry:

If I don't take it back though I'll probably put it up in the Target trading thread in exchange for a :ps3:DC Universe Online.

I hesitated on it and didn't buy it but went back and picked it up. The steelbook though was in pretty good condition in my set, didn't notice any scratches or blemishes.

It's 50" 720p but, one thing I learned from my 1080p set is games don't look noticably better at 1080 on xbox and if your playing on a ps3 most games have a natural resolution of 720.

1080 is great for future proofing and blu-ray but, this gen of consoles isn't going away anytime soon. Besides...$250!!!!!!!

I wish I could get in on these deals, but that DPCI checker never works for my stores. I check stuff like Black Ops and Dead Space 2 to test it out and no matter what game I put in it always says out of stock. I wouldn't mind driving out there to check, but both stores are pretty out of the way for me.
 
Note to self: Check Targets in the afternoon in order to give the clearance workers enough time to change the prices. Managed to pick up a SW:TFU2 PS3 for $20 + tax (it was still $40 yesterday morning)! Also managed to pick up a Halo Reach Legendary yesterday; I actually did the 'opening from the bottom' trick in-store (after I bought it, of course!) to check that everything was still there (I didn't want to break the seals, lol). Sealed artifact box, a couple of loose papers, and the Statue + miniature guns, check!

Picked up a PS3 copy of STAR WARS: THE FORCE UNLEASHED II - Collector's Edition for $19.98 at the Target in Oro Valley, AZ. They had 1 more copy left...
 
Waiting on :pc: Lego Stars Wars Complete Saga and :pc: Lego Indy to hit 4.98 before I pounce. I love Lego games, but 100% completion without the achievements to show for it just aren't worth more than $5 each to me!
 
so heres my finds from a cross state trip today. this is whats left in stores that i noticed after i got done with them.

couple old 360 60 gigs for 60 bucks.
 
Actually found a dragon age 360 at a store a little farther out. Also got spectrobes and nhl 2k10 for wii for $4.98 each. They also had a beat up halo legendary sitting there with a $105 tag, and it scanned $37. Couldn't bring myself to buy it even at that price.

Couldn't resist $30 for 5 games so grabbed one of each. Didn't find any SW:tfu2 for either system. Looks like my area's been picked clean.

There must have been 50 drum sets, all spread out across the entire Electronics section. Every aisle I walked down had a stack of them:lol:. Didn't grab either one but thinking of getting a drum set. Might be fun to mess with it while hooking my music up to it.

Also found a couple of TRON Legacy books for about 50 cents each. Don't have the DPCI numbers.
 
Was pretty bummed yesterday after missing all the Halo Legendary Editions in my area... On my way to class today, found a SW:TFU2 CE that was $55 yesterday marked 19.99 AND found a Halo at an out of the way Target on my way to class for the magical $37.48! Happy me today. It still doesn't make the sting of missing out on BlOps Prestige, but it helps :)
 
Called just about every target in the Dallas/Ft.worth area looking for Halo Reach Legendary. Most told me they had zero in stock as soon as it came up in the computer, others said it was clearanced and they didn't have any left. So disappointing. :

Jackpot! Halo Reach Legendary 37.xx still marked at 104.xx but scanned at 37.xx The Checker was impressed as well as a young lady who worked at Target who spotted me walking out with it and said "Nice" lol I am not a huge Halo fan and mainly play singleplayer FPS. Hope it was worth the 37.xx Last one in Clear Lake shores

Usually follow said rule, but with gas prices having jumped again, don't have the luxory of driving around for this one right now :< I checked two personally and i'm gonna check another on my way somewhere tonight. Heres hoping!

Although, to be fair, the DPCI stock checker isn't always entirely accurate (or people hide the items!).

But yeah, calling ahead will probably get you screwed over by employees.

I've been all over LA looking for DA:O UE. Found one copy at $35.xx last week, didn't pick it up, then two days later it was gone. Would also love to find Heavy Rain at $14.xx.

used that completely before calling. all said "out of stock" with a FEW saying "limited supplies." Two of the ones that said limited supplies I had been to today during my usual errands. The other like two that say that are an hour drive to get their (said by google maps) and in Dallas traffic thats at least a 90 min drive. So yea, of course I called those as i wasn't gonna drive out to those anyways. Anyone who thinks otherwise....yea.

Why not? my life doesn't revolve around having to get every single deal, they either have it or they don't.

Where i live isn't exactly a gaming hotspot, you could find wii's fully stocked day after launch here, im not exactly worried about the 46 year old who is checking for me.

the rule is bullshit.
