Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Scored the last Xbox 360 60gig HD from the Medallion store in DFW.

Now I just need to figure out how to transfer the data from my current 20gig drive. Anyone have any ideas? Buying the $20 transfer kit ruins scoring the clearance deal.

thanks,

Use a flash drive...

Found a brand new AOC 20" monitor down to 75%, picked it up for $35. Not bad for an extra monitor at all. ;)

Not much else, dry all over, PC games dropped to 75% but nothing great out there.

Does anyone have the DCPI for Spectrobes for the Wii, by any chance? I wanted to nab it for the kids, hoping to still find a copy of that and Mad Dog McCree somewhere!

Castlevania: LOS (360 Only) $12.48. PS3 version still $39.99 ($10 Price Cut from $49.99). I went to different target they have 360 version for $39.99 instead 12.48

Damn if I see it for that cheap it's mine. Doubtful though since there hasn't been crap out for a while so I'm guessing when the actually start putting good stuff out again it'll be priced pretty high and slowly trickle down. Going to stop by as soon as my 14m old Son wakes up from his nap and is fed...

Yeah I saw the same.. didn't need it since I use a 120gb harddrive. Best thing they had were a couple display cameras at 65%-70% off. Bought a Kodak zi8 at 70% off for $47 but not sure if I'll keep it.

I suppose it isn't clearance (which is why I haven't seen it here yet) but anyway ALL Wii's - White/Black/Red w/ Sports Resort - $169.99 as of this morning. Clerk said BB and Walmart also.

Oh, and White DSi $129 since April 3rd (also not clearance I guess) worked w/ free Sonic Colors.
Yeah I saw the same.. didn't need it since I use a 120gb harddrive. Best thing they had were a couple display cameras at 65%-70% off. Bought a Kodak zi8 at 70% off for $47 but not sure if I'll keep it.
Can you give the Dpci ffor that? Thx

Would that be considered a good deal? Haven't been able to test the camera yet, waiting for it to charge.

WOW! I have that TV and it is incredible? Sub 500... I'd buy another one!

I de-stashed so many decent PS3 and PSP games hidden in automotive yesterday at my Target I felt like I should've been given an honorary red polo. Nothing new sadly.

If you are talking about the CE, then you should be aware that that is 75% off already and with the next change it will just go out of the system. I'm not sure what you are waiting for.

If the regular version is on clearance than that is news to me - I only ever saw the CE. The OP only has the CE listed, though, so that must be what you are talking about.
Hope you bought that. I probably would, despite already having an HDTV and not having an extra $500 lying around, lol.
I did, much to my wife's chagrin. There were 3. One was already gone. I bought one and a Target employee was loading one into his car as I left.
I guess Portal 2 is going to have to wait for a while...:whistle2:#

No new items clearance-wise here; just the lowering of what is already out.
Was that a display model? I think I know which store you found it at, if it is.
No, it wasn't the display. 2 were still in the box today (gone now).
If you found the display though and are interested, you might be able talk the manager into giving you another 10% off or so.

Ah ok, I'm guessing the display is all that's left then. I tried talking them into giving me 10% off for the camera that I bought and they refused lol. Not sure if I'd have much luck.. will probably be gone by the time I get over there anyway.

Has anyone owned both Plasma and LED-lid LCD? I would buy that TV in an instant, but I don't know exactly how drastic the energy cost/burn-in problems are in the plasmas. Which one is better for gaming?

I have a 42" 1080p Panasonic plasma from 2009. It's awesome. It can be a little too dark for some games, and it does get a bit (not a lot) hotter than my old LCD did, but I have not had any issues with image retention and I play a lot of games.

You can't lose for less than $500. Go for it!

Damn. I would buy that TV in a heartbeat if there was a store within a 100 mile radius of me that had it in stock. Hell, I can't even find it at a store outside of a 100 mile radius. :(

I have not played with an OLED, but I do own several HDTVs.
First my oldest, a Samsung 720 DLP. It was great at the time, but now it is greatly outclassed. Still better than tube tvs though.
Next was a Sony LCOS LCD. This was great. No burn in issues with either of those. Then I got a Panasonic 65" Plasma 3D TV, and it is just amazing. It's bright, colorful, black. It's a much superior picture and makes all the others look washed out. I even got a cheap 42" Panasonic 720P plasma for the bedroom, that beats the Sony and the DLP. Plasma does have negatives though. Not burn in, as they've pretty much cured that problem now. But if you like wireless headphones, they won't work. The plasma interferes with my Turtle Beach X4's. Also, they do get hot. I don't really notice it in the 42" bedroom tv, but that tv is only ever on for 3 or 4 hours max. The 65" TV can be on all day long and it is noticeably warm, just a few inches from the screen. But I've had no problems with it yet. I would highly recommend a Panasonic Plasma for gaming.

I have a similar TV (possibly the same 42" 1080p Panasonic) and it is glorious. It does throw a lot of heat, so it could keep the gas bill low in the Winter.

I have that panasonic plasma and also an LED LCD Sharp Aquos 1080p -
the plasma is MUCH smoother and more enjoyable than the smaller LED LCD for gaming. The plasma has a much more natural picture for movies too. Bluray on the panasonic is amazing, especially animated stuff.

:applause:I've done that so far with a netbook(hidden up under a 20" LCD monitor), a bunch of hard drives and a shitload of games.

The best was when I think the stasher was coming around to see if his stuff was still in the same spot and saw me carrying the item(s) towards electronics, then watched as they locked up the netbook in one of the tall game cases they used to have in electronics.

He looked pissed.:D;)

id be careful getting that TV. They pretty much discontinued it right away, they found some problems with it and they are coming out with a new model. The new model should have been out in may or so, but the Tsunami thing probably pushed it back later.

I think it has some serious problems with floating and rising black and some other issues

Caved in and bought a ps2 for 49.98. Im not sure about it now...don't know if this was really a good deal or not... was more of an impulse buy. I have the launch model which still works...

Anyone ever used the JDTV-430? It's a portable ATSC TV...my Target has it on clearance from $140 down to $30. I can't seem to find a single review of it online, which may not be a good sign :)

they discontinued this tv because every year they release a new model, not because something was wrong with it... I have this TV and love it..
but i got mine for $200 shipped from Amazon.com with a price mistake.

I was tempted to buy one last Monday when it dropped to $49.98 and tempted again today when I saw they hadn't sold (1 toy story bundle and 1 regular). Maybe I will get lucky and they will last another week here and the price will drop more. I don't really need one since I have an old PS2 and a 60GB PS3, but still tempted for some reason lol.

I'll def. look out for those issues and return :)cry:) the set if need be.

Picked up one of the Acer 21.5" HD monitors for $38.xx after tax and 10% open box/display discount.

It was the model that clearance out last year too, so it has HDMI :D

Very nice score!

I myself this evening got a display model 20" AOC monitor for $34.98, less 10% display discount, plus tax. That's the 75% off price. I previously scored a 21.5" Acer at 50% off a few weeks ago. In both cases, the employees were nice enough to not put any clearance signage or tags up, so casual shoppers had no idea they were marked down. Works for me!

I was in my normal Target tonight(Royersford/Trappe) they had 2 grey/silver ds lites, 1 red ds xl anniversary Ed. Lites were $90, the xl was $125. They had assassins creed bloodlines and Hannah PSP for $90. I bought the ass. creed PSP on impulse. I played it for an hour and am wondering why I bought it. LOL. damn clearance buying junkie. Maybe I'll get a game I like on it.

Came across a bunch of the AOC monitors for 35, but I don't have a need for it and one store put the Samsung blu-ray players on clearance, around $92

Samsung bd-c5500
#008-06-1066

Reviews seem mixed for it but might be good if they drop low enough.

Other than a barf-load of ipod & iphone cases, nothing new was added or changed.

Hope you get at least $30 of use out of that thing cuz it's likely been on for 16-18 hours a day for 2-3 years now.

They sold out the display ones at both of my local Targets or I'd have likely tried to grab a 'spare' to run one of my three PS3's on.;)

Smart purchase. I grabbed one at $80, and wish I could find another one at $50. They make great DVD players--far more durable than those Funai POS's you find in Magnavox, Panasonic, and every house brand you can find (yeah, I'm talkin to you Walmart and Target).

That PS2 fatty will lose its disc drawer "rail" sooner rather than later, so now you have a back-up and won't be wasting your money buying PS1 and PS2 ports to play on your PS3. Screw buyers remose, you made a great purchase.

If you still don't want it, don't open it--just put it up for sale, and you'll probably make $20 to cover your time and effort in its acquisition. Hell, I bet it would make great trade material here on CAG.

I picked up this tv but not sure if I want to open this? Did anyone try this tv? Also saw the Haier HLDT7 TV/DVD combo for 34.98 but passed on this since I still have the Haier 7" and 10" tvs from last year

Yeah that 7" Haier that I will never use. Opened it up just to see how PS2 would look on it. 5 minutes later it was back in the box and has been sitting around since. I really should pass on things I will never use no matter how cheap they are.
