Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Picked up Marvel VS Capcom 3 SE at the Target in Harrisburg PA for 17.**

Saw some other cheap ones, Big Air Edtion: Stoked for 3.74, Borderlands Plat Hits for 7.**
Are all the MvC3 SE you guys are finding for the Xbox360?
Has anyone ever seen one for the PS3?
So I'd be able to to do a return/rebuy on MvC3 SE to get the cheaper price, right?

Would it be possible for me to just return the one I own and then buy the cheaper one?
Yes to both. I've never been shot down for a return/rebuy. I just usually request to use a different method of payment like a Target credit card and the like.
So I'd be able to to do a return/rebuy on MvC3 SE to get the cheaper price, right?

Return/rebuy is against store policy...depends on the CSR you get.

If you see a cheap one in the store buy it and then return it later using the receipt from your first, more expensive one.
Can you tell me if there were any MvC SE's left for the 360? I have family in HBG and would have them pick it up while they're out today.
It was for the 360 and no they didn't have anymore left. I went back and picked up Battlefield Bad Company 2 :360: for 9.98 and I bit in Big Air Edition Stoked :360: for 3.74.

That had a lot of other games for 3.74, Lego Rock Band, IL 2 sturmovik or something, Boderlands platium

All for the :360:

Goldeneye controller bundle 41.xx (two bundles)
MvC3 CE (one copy) I think around $40
Lots of BFBC2 for around $20.

Polaris location in Columbus

I picked up a PS3 MvC3 SE, but it was for 69.99. The guy brought it out from the stockroom, so I felt bad. Has anyone found the PS3 version for the clearance price at any SoCal Targets? The three Targets I went near me all showed $69.99 on the scanner.
Picked up Buzz on PS3 today for 10 bucks. Not sure what to do with it. I just grabbed it cause it was cheap lol. Could possibly flip it or something.
I'm tempted to pick up the last one at my local Target for $9.98 as well because it's such a good deal. Goozex has a good demand for it right now if you want 900 points. Unfortunately shipping the thing might be kind of a bitch.

EDIT: After some brief deliberating, I went back out to Target and bought it. I'll probably throw it up on eBay. Chances of getting at least double what I paid is pretty good. One of these just recently sold for $49.99.

If you see a cheap one in the store buy it and then return it later using the receipt from your first, more expensive one.
Ah, that's a good idea! Why didn't I think of that? That why I can just keep the one I have opened and have played already and can return the sealed one for the higher price. Brilliant.
Basically, repackaged GOTY disk(s) with extras. Wish they added all the DLCs.
Not bad. I personally couldn't stand Oblivion, but it was the only halfway decent $20 game left at the Kmart where I picked up LA NOIRE with that deal a few weeks ago.

So it was either I pick up that or some game that has no real value that I don't want to play and has been cleared out of most other stores by now.
Will Taget's PM others? Still thinking about the Acer. But mine are holding at 211.
You mean price match other Target stores or other stores in general? I don't think I've ever heard of Target price matching anyone. But if anything, they might allow you to buy it at one store, return it at a second and then rebuy it once it's been processed for return at the lower store.

Super highly YMMV on that though.

Saw a couple copies of Kingdom Hears 6/562 or whatever for DS at the Beaver Creek, OH Target(by Wright-Pat) for $12.48 this afternoon.

No. This is explicitly forbidden as people try this all the time.

Picked up my sims sky heroes for 7.48 at work today. Found it next to the registers where they keep the memory cards and batteries.

So strange. MvC3 is still $49.99 at my store. It's been that way for weeks. I'm hoping for a drop tomorrow; last week there were a few decent pickups, including CSI:Fatal Conspiracy for $4.98.
The only thing I found worth mentioning was :wii: Goldeneye w/Gold Classic Controller Pro for $14.98. Hell of a deal for a game and controller.
Are you sure? 'Cause the one I saw at my local Target was priced at $41.98 (clearanced). By the way, I also found :ps3: MAG (in Greatest Hits and non-Greatest Hits versions) for $14.98.

I'm absolutely sure, as I managed to snag 4 of them. They were marked $41.98 last week, but dropped to $14.98 today. Someone reported the lower price in this thread a few days ago.

Cool! I better go see if I can still find the copy they had yesterday.

I updated the OP as well.

Just got back from Target. They still had Goldeneye but it was still ringing up $41.98.

Must be a YMMV thing -- oh well.

Not all Targets have the same prices. There can be 2 of them, 10 mintues apart, and they can, both, have different clearance prices.

Saw these tonight:

Resistance 2 - $10
Naughty Bear PS3 - $25
Vanquish PS3 - $15
Split/Second - $15
Super Street Fighter 4 PS3 - $15
Goldeneye Bundle Wii - $41
Avatar 360 - $15

My Target has done away with end cap video game clearance - anything on clearance either has a clearance sticker on the plastic prison or sometimes a clearance marker on the price on the shelf. That makes it extremely annoying to hunt for clearance games but I guess it keeps the shelves looking full and catches they eye of more parents and kids who wouldn't think to check the end caps. Plus it means us CAGs are either going to have to bother Target employees for price checks, or we're going to have to print out our own UPCs to scan at the price checkers and confuse the shit out of other people as to what we're doing.
You mean price match other Target stores or other stores in general? I don't think I've ever heard of Target price matching anyone.
They won't match clearance prices, but they will match basic local competitor ads. For example, Radio Shack was running $30 PS3 controllers during 2009 Black Friday weekend. My Radio Shack was out, but I took the ad to the Target across the street and they matched it without a fuss. I don't think they do any matches that involve coupons or gift cards, though.

Hopefully someone can help me out. Has anyone bought a PS3 MvC3 SE for the 34.xx price in Southern California, anywhere between the Los Angeles area to the Irvine area? I bought one at full price, and I'm hoping that a CSR will allow me to return/rebuy for the clearance price. All the Targets I've visited so far show that the PS3 MvC3 is going for the normal $69.99.

said it before i'll say it again, my target is gay. Liberache gay. The copies of the sly collection that iw as waiting to drop to 14 bucks got picked up earlier this week at 21 buck >_< People buy crap as soon as it starts dropping around here so it never gets to the sweet spots

I'm not in your area, but I have yet to see a 360 version in a Target. I've only recently begun seeing PS3 copies, and they're still holding steady at MSRP.

Wow, resorting to gay bashing over the matter of $6 ($20.98/$14.98). Lighten up. $20.98 is almost 50% off retail, so it's not a bad deal. That's the risk you take with waiting.

I got an extra copy today that I'd offer, but shipping would more than likely kill the deal for you if you're looking to spend ~$15.

Saw a copy of greatest hits (PS3) Oblivion for $9.98 the other night. Also 10 - 12 copies of NCAA Football '10 for the 360 @ $7.xx. Hopefully this is not YMMV but more systemic for CAGs who might be interested.
Saw a $5 copy of :ps3:Kung Fu Rider today. I passed.
LOL, makes me mad that I picked it up for $9.98 :bomb: IDK, for $5 it wouldn't be bad to have..these Move titles aren't going to last forever, and I bet there are only going to be 30 of them tops..gotta get 'em all! (Well except maybe EA 'Create')

IMO most of the early PS Move games were just glorified tech demos and certainly not worth more than $20 to begin with. Hopefully we will see better products displayed at E3, but to me it looks like the strength with the PS Move right now is the shooters with Killzone 3, Socom 4, and Resistance 3...

He might also think your method of shipping was "Liberache" gay.
Pspgos are 15% off on clearance!
are you really excited? seems to me that buying a Go at this point is like buying a Motorola Razr.

I wonder how low these will get. Gamers will hold off and casuals won't really know what they are buying.

Will watch closely. I'd still prefer a 3000 though so I can get the umd only games.

It would have to be at least 75% for me to care. Would just be for the novelty of owning one... never understood the draw of the device.

Saw the Kung Fu game for 5.98, Split/Second was still 20.98 and they had the Goldeneye bundle with the gold controller for 14.98. Passed on all 3
