Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

The one copy of Vanquish at each of my stores is still holding steady. I wonder if the clearance person just didn't see it today. But they couldn't have missed the stack of Monopoly Streets still stuck at $20. The few copies of Sly Cooper are gone, not sure if it dropped today, or if they all sold at $15 since a few days ago. 2 copies of dj hero 360 also disappeared after being $25 last week. Probably dropped today. Still can't find any of the Resistance 2's that are supposed to be in stock everywhere according to the tracker. Do we have the right DPCI?

Ended up picking up blazing angels wii $5, aragorn's quest ds $5, and some shovelware Crazy Golf wii that I didn't notice was already halfway opened for $3.74. Still had disc inside though, person probably read reviews and changed their mind. I'm a sucker for the 75% off price point.

It's just not my thing. To me it stopped being fun once I turned 21 and I was legal age to just walk in any bar n get sloshed if I wanted to. :booty:

That's about how it went for me too. I drank 6 nights a week when I was 19-20, and stopped when I was 21. Then I started drinking moderately again, because I love a beer with steaks or a nice burger. Then I just eventually started drinking again, like a six pack every few weeks.
 
Little League Baseball World Series 2010 (PS3) dropped to $4.98 at my local Target today. I think it's the first time I've seen a game get marked down to 85% off instead of going to salvage.

Do items stop price-dropping once the item is out of stock at the store or can clearance items keep decreasing in price even if the item is completely out of stock at that store?
 
Most stores, in most cases, seem to need to actually scan the game for the price to drop. Sometimes this doesn't need to happen.

As with everything related to Target clearance, YMMV.
 
Everyone finding all these good deals...my Targets are all terrible for this kinda thing. Someone trade me for Resistance 2 or the Seagate 500 GB HDD! I'll love you forever...

Any DCPI on the HDD? Might go desperation hunting. Really need an HDD, I have no space left anymore. I'll buy one from someone if they can find a spare. Same goes for Resistance 2.

I saw a thread a couple weeks back saying Target had a $100 off GC with the purchase of a PS3, that was currently stacking with their $60 GC promo. I tried to find it again and failed, but anyway. I was wondering if anyone had spotted the coupon again since the $60 promo had ended. They might have taken it out of the system just so people couldn't stack them and get a ps3 for $150. But now that the PS3 will likely have a price drop it would be nice to find a coupon again so can pick it up cheap. The coupon was supposed to expire towards the end of June, so I know its possible for them to start printing them again.

Your best bet would be ebay. I saw some going for cheap (the price of a blu-ray).
As for a price drop, with the Sony conference over, and no announcement, I'm not sure why you would think that it's going to happen before June 16th (the end date for the coupon).

Some people have traded that $150 PS3 for the Black Ops Bundle(maybe a YMMV?)! :shock: Making it an, even, more INSANEEEEE DEAL!!!!!!!

If you're thinking about getting a coupon, act soon as it Expires 6-18-11. With the eBay prices, it could be like getting $70 or more back...

FYI: For anyone from CAG in the area of New Hartford(NY), the mobile stock locator is showing a Toy Story 3 PS3 bundle as limited availability. Just a heads up for anyone in that area that there may be a clearanced bundle in stock there.
 
i got lucky and one of my targets had sly for $15 this week so i bought it and returned it with the receipt i had from two weeks ago when i got it for $21
 
My targets always have the games (AC:Gh), Dante's Inferno, God of War collection, etc. But they're always in the prisons and never marked down. It's always mp3 and phone accessories in the clearance endcaps.
 
Finally found an interesting drop @ my store. Bioshock 2 PS3 regular edition for $7.98 out of $14.99. Would probably drop more but I know it won't last on the shelf for even that price. Picked one up :whistle2:D Also, saw X-Men Wolverine PS3 for about $20.98... that one might drop some more. They had about 4-5 left of those :whistle2:D
 
Was able to pick up Vanquish (PS3) at the Bridgewater, NJ store for $7.48. That was the last PS3 copy that I saw, but there were 2 X360 copies. Plus there was Kane & Lynch Dog Days (7.48) and Need for Speed Shift (9.98)

Which Target in Pittsburgh? I saw the keyboard bundle in Vegas, but didn't have room in luggage to bring it back. Would buy it locally as plenty of room in the car trunk :)
 
Snagged a golden eye with controller for WII in League city (not my usual Target). They had like 6 X-Men Wolverine PS3 for 20.98 and 1 sly collection for 14.98 646 target in League city

I'm glad I taped one beneath the counter at the Aurora store. (I put it spine up in the cheapo games on the non-clearance endcap)

I got it for $17.48 Monday, but the second copy that I left on the clearance endcap last week was gone.
