Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

fuckCKKKKKKKKKKKKK Target's some-timing azz DPCI LOCATORRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really :bomb::bomb:. That thing is hit or fuckCKING miss!!!!!!!! The number of Targets I just came from, looking for that netbook, is ridiculous! I think this town is full of CAGs.

The DPCI tracker is, TRULY, hit or miss. It can tell you 1,000 different stores all have 200 of them in stock and when you go to all of them, they'll be out. Updated every 24 hours my azz:bomb::bomb::bomb:!

The tracker has always been dubbed hit or miss, since it all depends on when the tracker updates, when the person bought it, and when the store updates it's system in accordance to the tracker.
The DCPI tracker can tell you how many items there are?
Whatever that is they punch the DPCI into and print out a list of stores. DPCI tracker/locator........ whatever it is.... fuck...fuck...fuckCKKKKKK IT!!!!!!!
Need some advice, i bought the BLKops bundle +$160 GC at my Target a couple days ago. I was thinking about going back and using my giftcard to purchase a $29.99 3 year (actually 2) protection plan. I know that i cant just bring it back to the store because a outside agency handles it. My question is has anyone used it? I figure, i might as well for piece of mind and $30 is cheap. Btw i checked and you can purchase a protection plan within 90 days of purchase. Suggestions?
I actually just used mine. I bought it for my PS3 MG pack in 2008 that cost me $500, when the ps3 came out. Luckily I did because my ps3 overheated and I got the red blinking light. I was within the month before it expired and it was a painless process. They email you a shipping label you have to provide a box to ship it and they will take a look at it and try to repair it, if they can't they will reimburse you the amount you paid. For me they were able to fix it. I actually got it back this past Tuesday. msg me if you have any other questions. Oh yeah, I purchased the warranty as close to the 90 days as I could to give me more time.

Dude. Its something to do while you take shit.
and its only a $125.
fuckCKKKKKKKKKKKKK Target's some-timing azz DPCI LOCATORRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really :bomb::bomb:. That thing is hit or fuckCKING miss!!!!!!!! The number of Targets I just came from, looking for that netbook, is ridiculous! I think this town is full of CAGs.
I, even, went to a store that I went to on Sunday. They had a pile of those things.... GONE! Someone said their inventory is updated every 24 hours. WTF EVERRRR!!!!!!

The DPCI tracker is, TRULY, hit or miss. It can tell you 1,000 different stores all have 200 of them in stock and when you go to all of them, they'll be out. Updated every 24 hours my azz:bomb::bomb::bomb:!
OMG! That psycho b**ch needs anger management!
The tracker has always been dubbed hit or miss, since it all depends on when the tracker updates, when the person bought it, and when the store updates it's system in accordance to the tracker.
You mad bro?

It's like feast or famine with the clearance cycle. Had some great finds last week and nothing this week. The few titles I found are in the 20-28 range.

At least I was finally able to use my PS3 coupon. Found a standard 160gb unit and got the 160 in giftcards. Gonna keep it sealed for a few days in the hopes of finding a BlOps unit.
Um... no? Trying to give an informative post now means anger? Well I'm falling behind then.
So the Final Fantasy Xbox Bundle at 30% off. or like $244. Since it's the old form factor, why would anyone buy this?
Except Microsoft would've replaced them for free...
Wont MS just replace them for a year. If it dies 370 days after your purchase, wouldn't you have to pay for repairs?
I bought a 3 year warranty before at Target and I called like 4 people telling them my Xbox 360 broke and they insisted that I had to wait for Microsofts warranty to expire before I could use theirs. Eventually I found someone that wasn't a fuckhead.

Never again.

Is the 3 year extended warranty better from Target or Square Trade? The Square Trade warranty comes out to $30 too using a unique coupon that I have.

I laughed when I read this and laughed even harder when I saw you quoted yourself.:D

This netbook deal hit Slickdeals hot deals page late Monday night, everything was wiped out on the shelves by noon on Tuesday due to the hoarders/SD "Businessmen".

Yes I read on SD that some bought multiple, saying they were going to "give" them to family members. I'm surprised Target allows people to buy more then 1 at a time.

This, I know there were a least ~40 netbooks across the 4 targets, seen them and tracker was right on. The next day all gone. I was not willing to spend 175 or even 125 on a netbook and willing to wait it out but damn, that was alot of upfront money, unless they had thousands in credit, for some flips.

if you are willing to pay that much, go to Best Buy, there is a Compaq laptop. 15'6, 2GB RAM, Windows 7, Intel Core Duo. The laptop is usually placed between Best Buy mobile and the laptop section. it's a sub $300 laptop and I fiddle with it every time I go lol. It's excellent, beats a netbook and then some for flash, heavier content use. And I'm sure you can do some Best Buy trade in's with your games or something and bring it down even further.

Well it is on clearance, so obviously Target just wants to get rid of them all, doesn't matter who buys them.

Are you talking about this laptop?

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Compaq+...18245812097&skuId=1271897&st=Compaq&cp=1&lp=1

because we have this one at my best buy and it isn't a dual core.

The HP Mini 110 plays Minecraft fine. Its not cranked to max on all settings, but its more than functional.

A crappy netbook is enough for me. Just need something for word processing, Internet surfing/watching youtube, and email. So just leave them at Target so I'll have a better chance at finding one. :)

I'd prefer a tablet PC for watching videos, reading PDF files, and forums like CAG that has HDMI output and I'd be good to go. HDMI for watching on a larger screen/monitor.

When I was returning a game yesterday, I'm waiting for Split second to hit $8, I noted some of the diet lemonade mix that was marked for clearance. It said was $2.48 now $2.48 with a 0 percent in the corner. I know they have been lowering the percentage of markdowns in some stores, but 0% is a new low.

The acer netbook on clearance is a single core for reference.

The old RROD warranty covered it for a few years. I had an old Pro that got 2 RRODs more than a year after I bought it. MS sent a coffin and fixed them for free both times.

Anyone have the model # of the ACER netbook? My Target has 1 left for $124.97 but I want to read the reviews regarding quality.

It's a NETBOOK and an ACER, what are you expecting for it to be like a MacBook? You get what you pay for.

No kidding man! I know its a NETBOOK and an ACER and I don't expect it to be like a MacBook. I'm talking about comparing "Apples to Apples". There are differences in quality between brands due to the materials and components used. Model # bro, Model #.

Buy it without thinking about it. By the time you finish comparing models, it will already be sold. If anything, I'm sure you can get more if you flip it on ebay.

Thanks for your opinion bro. I think your right since we are talking about a clearance item here.
Thx for the advice, i'm gonna buy one...The only thing im thinking is, say i have a problem and have to send it in and they cant fix it and reimburse me. Well on my receipt it says refund total is 139.99 because i got $160 in giftcards, would they try to screw me and only send me $139.99? Does anyone know if you have to send your receipt?

I suspect yes and yes.

I just picked the Sly Collection at my local Target for just $14.99

Well, that would suck because i actually spent $308.xx. Hopefully i'll never have to do it, i'm hoping maybe someone who bought a PS3 and got a giftcard , used Targets protection plan and got reimbursed could chime in.

Well, think about it. They'd HAVE to request the receipt.

Otherwise, imagine how many scammers would buy a new one, get the protection plan. Send in an old busted one after a week.

Or if you actually did get it on sale, which happens (see amazon lightning deal), break it on purpose and send it in for a $300 reimbursement. "I swear I bought it for $300!"

You don't have to send in your reciept. When you register the product online (which is optional) I registered mine when it broke and i bought the plan back in 08. It asks how much was the item (not including tax) i.e. mine was 499.99. So I believe you should be good in terms of using gift cards because the item costs 299.99.

If anything I'd shoot them an email or call them and throw that question at them. Although they were able to repair my ps3 I did not get reimbursed but I would assume they would want a copy of the receipt to see the cost of the system (not what you paid, as the online registration requests cost of item not what you paid).

the number you call on the warranty i believe is target, they were real helpful and answered all my questions about the process.
this is the site that handles the warranty repair https://www.mywarrantyrepair.com/

Damn it. :hot: I saw that slickdeals site, before. I can't stand that word 'slick'(unless it's used in a naughty way) and, on top of that, someone had a name on there.... something like 'StealFromCheapAssGamerGiveToSD'

I was looking at the games, and I found a lone copy of the Sly Cooper Collection for $14.98.

There really wasn't anything else.

I also got the last Sly Collection for $14.98.

Saw, but passed on:
Split/Second (PS3) - 14.98
Need For Speed SHIFT (PS3) - 9.98

The Kung Zhu hair-attacking hamsters are now $2.50.

Does the Target protection plan begin on the day you buy the product or the day you buy the plan? It's funny because usually the 3 year protection begins from the day you buy the product and the product page says it is from the day I purchase the product but from the target terms and conditions page here it says the coverage starts from the day I purchase the plan. That can give me an extra 90 days of coverage. Anyway, I have also read lots of bad reviews on their website. The good reviews are basically for the cheap price and almost every bad review is because they were basically lied to about the condition of their product.

It starts on the 91st day, since you can return to store within 90. Really its just a 2-year plan cuz Sony gives you a year.

Just got back from my local Target, and I saw 3 copies of X-men Wolverine PS3 for $9.99. I haven't read any reviews about the game, and so I don't know if it is even worth $9.99. Can anybody comment on this game?

I also saw about 7 copies of NBA 2K10 and for $4.99 and I was tempted, but I think I'll wait for the 2011 with Michael Jordan. I've read that the 2011 version is leaps and bounds better than the 2010.

I haven't actually played it, but I picked it up for $9.99 because I heard that it's a pretty good game and fun to play, especially because of how gruesome some of the killings can be.

Clear lake shore dropped a bunch from 19.98 to 9.98 I got Transformers war for cybertron and Monopoly Streets both on x360 for 9.98 each They had a bunch of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and also wolverine on ps3 for 9.98

It's kinda short but worth the $10. Good gameplay for a licensed movie game.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before if it is the case, but I'm entering this thread a bit late. Do the display cases tethered to the counters in your local Target stores seem to put a huge dent in the back of the game cases? I had seen the dent on some of the games on the clearance rack and only figured out what it was when I looked at the new game counter. It seems rather shortsighted for them to have deployed cases that damage merchandise like that. I'm hesitant to buy some things because I don't know if it will have somehow damaged the disk inside, or at least pushed it off the button (yeah I know I could just turn the case over to tell if something is loose inside).

Yep. The spider things they put on bigger boxed items (usually CEs) are even worse. That's why I didn't buy Force Unleashed 2 CE... was practically crushed.
