Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

:ps3: Monopoly Streets - $9.98
:ps3: X-Men Origins: Wolverine - $9.98

Couple more of each game at the Target at The District in the OC.

Also, :360: NBA 2k10 - $4.98
looks like vanquish dropped again, was 7.xx when I stopped by today. also, NFS Shift was 4.xx
I have to check my local store, Vanquish for $7 sounds good to me.

Picked up the Sly Collection for $15. I hate when they only have the display copy left becuase that stupid case always leaves a dent in the game case.

Buzz! Quiz world bundle dropped to $4.98 but this is a moot point since SD posted about Buzz a few weeks ago. Made the FMV of that game sink pretty fast.
Thx for the advice, i'm gonna buy one...The only thing im thinking is, say i have a problem and have to send it in and they cant fix it and reimburse me. Well on my receipt it says refund total is 139.99 because i got $160 in giftcards, would they try to screw me and only send me $139.99? Does anyone know if you have to send your receipt?
Why not just spend $44.99(it's normally $59.99) on the PSN store to buy the official two year Sony extended warranty? It's discounted during the free month of PSN+ right now.

Got boned on the Rockband Keyboard. Wouldnt sell it to me because it was going to salvage. It was down to $20. Picked up Transformers War for Cybertron for $20 instead. First time i saw it on clearance and have been wanting it for a while. Tried to pair it with another $20 game to get bogo 50% off and was told the deal was only with select titles. At that point i wanted to throat punch the cashier.

^Aren't employees supposed to look up the last price or sell it to you whatever the tag says? Kmart did that to me once on a clearance game that went out of the system.

I've purchased two items at Target that have rung up as $0.00 on the scanners. They gave it to me for the last known price in the portable scanning gun or whatever the price tag said.

you can ask, but they don't have to do anything.

Not sure if store policy changed but salvage can be sold to guests for the last known price if guests find salvage on the sales floor but team members aren't allowed to buy salvage.
Thanks for your opinion bro. I think your right since we are talking about a clearance item here.
If I'm not mistaken, most of these netbooks other then the Lenovo ones all come form the same factory, so they are essentially the same.

Seriously, at that price snag the f--k out of it, and flip it if you change your mind. If it is a 1GB netbook, they will take a 2GB chip. And, unless you have a compelling reason to run Windows on them, wipe them and install Ubuntu--its faster, more efficient, and looks nicer--it really bridges the best of Windows and Mac with its interface.

Stopped off at the Super Target over off Mckee Road in Madison, WI today and ran into a bunch of PSP stuff at 50% off. Picked up the following:

3 Sony PSP Batteries - $15.24 each
1 Sony PSP Car Charger - $10.98
1 4GB Mark Memory Stick - $11.99

I cleaned them out of batteries, but they still had some PSP Go Docks, Car Chargers, AV Comp Cables, Travel Cases, Screen Protectors and the PSP Headphone/ 4GB Mark Memory Stick Bundles.

Everything was 50% off retail.

Check out your local Sears if you have one around I'm not sure what the difference between a Mark memory stick and a Pro Duo is but Sears has Sandisk 4GB Pro Duo's priced $3-$5

Guess I will be going to Sears tomorrow. Hope they have some.

The memory stick is part of the PS3 accessories sale.

The battery and car charger are new however. Or at least I didn't see them as part of the PS3 accessories sale at least.

I thought I had read somewhere that the speed on the Mark is faster then that of what they have at Sears for $3. Needless to say, I've been to my local Sears. They have the cards "in stock", but no one there seems to be able to locate them for me. So I settled with the more expensive one. If the speed really is faster, I don't mind having the better tech.

All 75% off games

Xbox 360 Battlefield 2 $10
PS3 Naughty Bear $12.48
PS3 Vanquish $7.50
PS3 Truth or Consequences $2.50 (still didn't buy it!)

A lot of other games at 50% - Hasbro Game Night, Monopoly etc. Might consider those when they hit 75%

Thanks for reminding me to post this:

PSP 2200mAh Extended Life Battery Kit

$9.14

DPCI:207 00 0986
I just picked up Samurai Warriors 3 for the Wii for 12.xx I don't know if i want to keep it...
If your partial to the Koei smash ups, this one is pretty decent. Kids like it, at least.
Weird pricing on those psp extended battery 2200 kits my store has a bunch of them at 7.42
I thought it looked weird, too. No PSP, so I didn't buy it. I saw a number of PS3 & PSP accessories for $5.98. Target gets aggressive when they want stuff gone, lol.
Got the last Rockband 3 keyboard bundle at the Humble TX store for $65.

Wife is happy.
$65 for that? Lmfao! How are you enjoying the couch, dear? You're joking.

I think I'm taking my $20 PS3 one back. I had no reason to buy it. It didn't come with a game, either.

If anyone sees the RB3 Xbox 360 Keyboard on clearance and doesn't want it, toss me a PM. Will pay for you to pick it up, would you kindly? :) Also looking for the drums, I hear they're being clearanced out but are even harder to find. El hoardo is all around my Targets, so I can't ever find anything.

I just stopped by the manchester ct target and checked out what they had. as usual pretty slim.

monopoly game night and that legends owl game for 360. both for $20

single copy of mag for the ps3. $20 bucks.

bunch of madden 2k10 and a few other older sports games for 15 bucks.

Picked up the other day a copy of Star Wars Clone Wars Jedi Alliance for the DS at Louisville Target near Jefferson Mall for $4.98 before my employee discount. They had about 12 left.

you guys are lucky, either some employee is clearing my target out, or they just have shit for clearance.

im not joking nba 2k10 for 10$ was the best thing they had when I went today ugh.

When stores drop clearance prices varies, but typically it's Mondays. Going on a Sunday is not a good time to get your hopes up.

Saw:

:ps3: Battlefield 2: BC - $9.99 (bought)
:ps3: Mag - 7.49 (bought)
:ps3: Naughty Bear - 12.49
:ps3: NCAA Football 2010 - 6.24
:ps3: Truth or lies - 2.49
:360: NBA 2K10 - 4.99
:360: Legends of the Guardian (Owl Movie) - 9.99

Is MAG worth the price? Are there still people playing it? I realize that it's only 7.49, but still...

Edit: Fixed a couple of prices... I was not typing what I was thinking...

Mag is pretty good. I don't know if it's super active but I am sure there are some people. Now the problem with Mag is it's a bit one sided (Where one faction has the best players and the others don't meaning unbalanced games sometimes) but when you get a well balanced game, it is one of the best online experiences I had on the PS3.

Heck yeah! There are a lot of people playing MAG, and there will always be. It is such a special game. One of a kind. Your faction doesn't have to win every time for you to have fun with the game, so disregard the previous poster's comment. Your team can lose the game, but you can still rack up a lot of points and money for upgrading your skill points and equipment by healing others, repairing vehicles, bunkers, artillery or by destroying the said enemy's pieces. For $7 MAG is a still.

That was where I grew up a long, long time ago. Small world. Cheers.

Yeah I own MAG and the DLC packs, and there is fun to be had even if you do lose. I was just making the point the game is a bit one sided faction wise. Not that it matters, mag is a hell of a fun game and is one of the best experiences on the PS3.

Also passed on a Vizio Internet Enabled BD player for $69.88... I don't use those functions on the 360 or on my PS3, so why would I need a BD player for it? At least that's what I told myself when I put the player back on the shelf...

Picked up Battlefield 2:BC for ps3 for $9.99 and a WD Elements 1 TB external hdd for $49.99. There were still many left at the Toms River, NJ Target.

So guys, where actually are the clearance games at? I visited the Hagerstown Target and and looked all over the electronics section and found no clearance games anywhere. Would love to grab Mag and a few other games if I can find them.

Picked up:
:ps3: Vanquish $7.48
:ps3: Monopoly Streets $9.98
:ps3: The Sly Collection $7.48 (really surprised about this one; must have come out of the backroom)
:ps3: Truth or Lies $2.48 (figured if nothing else I can use the case and trade in the disc)
Also saw:
:360: Vanquish $7.48
:360: NFS Shift $14.xx
:ps3: Naughty Bear $12.48 (about 20 copies of this; to think I had this game preordered at one time *shudder*)
No MAG
No BFBC2

It depends on the store. Some stores placed their clearance games on an endcap in/near the electronics dept. Other stores locked them in the game display/prisons. If you can't find them, ask an associate in the dept.

Usually on one of the end caps in the electronics section.
