Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

When they first scan in your games/cd's/dvd's the amount that comes up on the register is the CASH value. If you take store credit, then they automatically give you 20% more. Moreover, they usually do a special promo a couple of times a year where they give you a brown paper bag and that adds ANOTHER 25% in credit on TOP of the 20% they already give you.

That's how I got my PS3 in 2008.;)

Hmm...I've only played the multiplayer demo...seemed ok. Glad I didnt pull the trigger on retail. Maybe I'll try renting it first.
 
WFC is quite good, it was pretty awesome playing through the campaign with 2 friends.

Very very fun, but it was also fairly short. Finished both sides within 2 days.

And don't forget they do some specials like 3 for an extra $10 (like GameStop) and list a few of the more in demand titles with their credit and cash values online.

Speaking of FYE, has that place dropped off of everybody's trade-in places? I haven't bothered trying mine lately because I don't know what their trade values are (besides what they list online, which are their in demand titles), and I believe they are selective on what they want. Any CAG got the hook up on FYE, perhaps enough to start a thread?

Its more like the 3 in my area have all closed down. I remember they had really great trade in deals though, but its just not an option anymore...mostly because it doesnt exist.

FYE was a great trade in source for me. Some don't do trade-in's though. I really miss FYE as an option.

I loved T:WFC but T: DM isn't much of an improvement. If anything I preferred the Cybertron setting over Earth.

I think Target here is tapped out for a while. I don't think there is a single clearance title in 3 stores now. Toy clearance is picking up, though, so that's good for Christmas prep. A couple of my Targets had 3 or 4 toy endcaps at 30% off...

I finished it last night and can say the same. It's much better than the movie was. But you should expect that coming from Raven Software.. they make great games.
 
FYI Only 1 copy Battle Field 2 (PS3) $10 at Target Great Land (Independence, MO). Also, Blue Springs Target, MO have few copies 360 2010 Sports games & few copies Rock Band Green Day (PS3). That's all :)

My Target had 0 games in their usual clearance spot, very disappointing.

Off the gaming topic, does anyone know when they drop prices on seasonal stuff, specifically patio furniture? My Target has stuff at 50% right now, but I'd like to get stuff at 70% off if I can, I'm just looking at a couple of chairs that are tagged at $54 clearanced at $27, so any further drop would definitely seal the deal for me.
 
No games in Western CT Target other than PS3 Naughty Bear but I did not see the price. Did grab a 1.5 TB WD External HD for $59 on regular sale (can return the same HD I got a while back for $69). The Beechmont location in Cincy had the same crap as last week at the same prices in the clearance area, but I did notice in the regular display they had Adrenalin Misfits for Kinect clearanced for $11.98. I picked up a couple and I think there are a couple more left.
 
I saw that 1.0 TB HD marked for $34.99 (maybe it was $39.99). They had one at the Target in either Shorewood or Joliet, IL. Went to both, can't remember which one had it though.

I typically hit the targets on the northern and western fronts of 27d5 cincy loop. West chester, mason, tricounty, liberty.

Maybe we should co-ordinate our searching and help each other be the best CAG's we can be.
 
Just reporting in..nothing at my target either..it was dry..it is dry for games right now..not much in the clearance section, even that 1tb hd was not there anymore..left disappointment lol..oh well maybe another time

Anywho, I was chatting with the young lady at customer service about the Memorex Blu Ray players that dropped, again, this week to $74.xx(50% off). She was telling me how some things get past 75% off and make it to90%. I decided to wait since they've been sitting there and she said they will drop to around $40 in a couple of weeks. I've been seeing them around.

The one you have should drop to $35 or something. Do you have the DPCI for it?
I'm sure you wanted to get it, while you saw it. Which is understandable.

There is always a buy/return option. You have 90 days to return and if you can find it cheaper just buy it for less then head to another store using the other receipt and return it.
 
I found a "Panasonic 3D Essential Pack" which includes two pairs of 3D glasses and 3D Blu-rays of Coraline and Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs. It was 75% off so it was $87.48 instead of $349.95.

Has anyone else found one of these at Target at this price? I don't own a Panasonic 3D tv, but this seems like a really good price. Maybe I'll buy a 3D TV down the road and wish I bought this.

yeah, I doubted it would make it to 75% (and its highly unlikely that I can hide it in the women's panty racks).

Not sure if I want it as the reviews look a bit dodgey. But I bought it so I would have the option to return it if I don't want it.
 
anyone else have their near by target remodeling? The target which I live near by is bringing in a starbucks (LOL!) and more food court options and what appears to be a fleshed out pharmacy to replace the garden section in the back of the store. Funny thing, there is no men's restroom in the store itself for right now, they have those portable one's outside right in the middle of the parking lot, haha.

My targets already have all of those things (including the starbucks). One of them even has a pizza hut.

The one I usually go to has both =P But I don't like Starbucks or pizza, so it doesn't benefit me much. Though I did get a coupon for $3 off a frappacino.

A lot of Targets I've been to have the mini-Pizza Hut's inside... I want to say some have had something else with the Pizza Hut's too... Maybe Taco Bell? But strangely I feel like those were actually removed some years ago?

Newer constructed ones mostly have had Starbucks inside too. But yes, my older Target is remodeling its cafe area. I haven't been to the back by the old garden center, so I have no idea if pharmacy expansion is going on there because the current pharmacy is status quo at the moment.

It's rare for anything on clearance at Target to go past 75% off. I think I've seen 2 or 3 items that went to 85% out of my entire time searching for clearance items. Normally it'll go out of the system after it sits at 75% for a while.

Same here... I've seen games go out of system without someone buying and employees having no desire to get rid of it. When they were getting rid of RE 5 for RE 5 Gold I found a guide which was OoS, but when I asked the guy to scan it he set it to full MSRP. I believe the guide is still there...

As far as past 75% most items have to simply be god awful. Things like Truth or Lies which hit 95ish%
