Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Evansville, IN has the PSP Go for 139.99 at one store and 169.99 at the other. They've both got a ton and I'm just waiting for that final sweet spot.
 
Just wanted to update that Target did indeed refund our money from the 5.1 receiver that turned out to be a spraypainted dvd/vcr combo. The Loss Prevention guy at the store was on vacation for a week so it took a little longer than usual to get back. They did apologize for our time and handled the situation very well (compared to the first night where I felt like we were judged as criminals.)

From what I've learned from people who used to work as CSMs in Walmart... if you make a big enough stink about anything, you can get your money back. One time someone brought back a blender box with nothing but a bunch of rocks inside and said it was like that when they opened it. Of course they got their refund.

I assume you can get away with it once. But stores do keep track of returns, and I'm sure they will notice a pattern if it starts happening multiple times.

Of the two local targets, one dropped it to 30% ($140) and they disappeared. The other has had them for longer than 1 month at 15% and have sold none. I'm hoping a random Monday they will just spring to 50%

Stopped by my target today. Clearance was fucking pitiful. Two copies of NCAA 10, one PS3 Green Day Rockband and one horrible Kinect game with furry animals (forgot the name but I am 99.9999999999% sure it sucks).

Besides that spongebob ds game/accessory bundle, that's all they really had.

I assume that someone may be interested in buying one at that price.

Was a good find for me as I was about to rent one for $64 so I could power wash the patio before sealing! $64 to rent is insane. It was $90 to rent the "bigger" sized power washer.

I found it on an endcap between the bbq/patio furniture section and the auto stuff. Signs said 30% off and they were marked $90.xx but, of course, I did a price scan.

I also grabbed two 12 packs of detergent made specifically for the washer. One 12 pack was for autos and the other was for patios. They were $2.xx each.

Toys were marked down to 50% off too. Nothing jumped out as a must buy at 50% off. However, saw quite a few things (Boba Fett and Iron Man electronic helmets come to mind) that will be purchased at 75% off.

I found them a while back where normally the clearance games would be. At least at the Target's I've been to, home and garden is next to electronics, so it works out.

Nothing of interest gaming-wise at my stores. Certainly a summer drought.

Oh wait. Kinectimal plush for $4.98. 50% off. Yay?
 
Yeah, Target in Rego Park, NY is pretty much a dead zone. Rarely do you score anything but from what I hear alot of the employees horde in the back.
 
Target here in North Austin has no game clearance section right now... it's sad. The endcap has like 3 Sony HDTVs for $700 and 2 shitty Blu-ray players.

In other news I scored 10 packs of Bumblebee Tuna pouches for $0.44 each. I thought that was a great deal, lol.

Talking about the Arboretum location or the Super Target up by BB and TRU off Parmer? I nabbed the $60 MK TE stick at that BB but yeah, the Target was sad without even an endcap. The one on Ohlen and 183 has had a really weak section for months now, too.

Arboretum location at Great Hills Trail. Ugh, I will never live anywhere near the vicinity of I-35 again, I used to live right near that Parmer Ln Super Target. I don't ever step foot in the Ohlen location as the Great Hills location is much nicer (they just expanded it with groceries) and I literally live 1/2 mile from there near Braker Ln./183.

fuck all, I want a TE stick for $60. When did I miss that? LOL.

Last time I was at the Arboretum store they moved the clearance games into the video games section, close to the center aisle on a small freestanding shelf. Probably near the 3DS display? If that's gone, bummer. Ohlen's still got an endcap at least, and is undergoing the grocery renovation now.

TE stick was a lucky day, they still had it marked as full price! Guess that deal alone makes up for all the weak Targets in town.

That little section is now gone... replaced with 3DS accessories or something. :bomb::bomb:

Still... at least my Target will always be better than the Target near 290/I-35 near where I work downtown. Or as I call it "ghetto Target". :D

I think Austin seriously just has TOO MANY Targets. The stock is all spread thin so there isn't 1 store that's left with many copies of one game months after launch. Like Ohlen and Great Hills... those stores are less than 2 miles apart. There's a Super Target 5 minutes north of me on Lakeline too. At least that's my theory. When I go down to Corpus (where there's only ONE Target in town) I see the deals that everyone else mentions. It's kinda epic.

That 290/35 Target on Cameron used to be my spot, also close to work. I've snagged ME2, BL GOTY, Oblivion GOTY, Shaun White Snowboarding (ugh) and a Yoshi backpack there at 75% off, probably a few more. All that was a long time ago of course. Haven't been there in a while.

I think there are many more Austin CAGs than we're aware, lurkers no doubt.

I've had some scores here and there, but when I went the other day they literally had 0 clearance games.
 
Target has been slackin on the their clearance last time I checked they had 20 copies of ncaa2010 for 29.99... Haven't been back since, i know year and a half ago they were a ton of stuff on clearance really disappointed in target :/
 
Same with my targets. I'll be lucky to see 1 or 2 stray clearance tagged games lately. Must be another "drought" time.

Would not recommend buying Karcher pressure washers under normal circumstances (non 75% off clearance). Bought one at Lowes, had to do 2 returns. First one was legitimately DOA and the second one's plastic garden hose coupling worked (connected) only the first use. Pretty much a disposable tool, which is unfortunate.
 
clearance section at Waterfront target in PGH, PA has now disappeared. The NCAA Football 2010 for PS3 was on clearance, but was in among the games.

Ton of toys/action figures on sale.

I second this, I work at Lowe's and when we carried them they were a POS pressure washer. Basically you use it till it breaks because there is no way to get parts for them cheap. Same goes for grill parts as well...
 
Found Vanquished around my area for $7 but i passed.. Didn't see much fun in the game from what i saw. Maybe not my kinda game, so i decided to leave it there.
