Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Which one in ny ? I'm going to the one on east 117'th street within this week so I hope its not that one
Unfortunately it's that one. I picked up a copy of Mass Effect 2 (said it was OOS online...) and it still scanned for $20.
Living in Central Florida - I've got about 5 Targets I visit regularly(between two homes and work) and every single ones Electronics clearance has disappeared.
Same here in Miami :(

Compared to last summer, this summer's clearance has been a joke for everyone. However, with so many big releases coming this fall, I imagine it should start to pick up around September...one can only hope.

Did you see the sly collection for 8 bucks like other people are ? I really want that game

In order to have new clearance, new games have to be coming out to push old ones off the plan. I think last summer they let them pile up while this year we saw pretty aggressive clearancing even through xmas.

Damn PSPgo stayed at $140... I'm starting to get itchy on it, though, since the stores around me all seem to only have 1 in stock... May have to bite at $140 and explain away the extra $40 to myself :)

I've spotted one of those Sony Google TV's at a local Target. It's been marked as Damaged and reduced to $700. It's been there for more than a month I. What are the chances I ask if they'd give it to me for $350 they'd give it to me?

It doesn't hurt to ask but I doubt they'd take that big of a loss on it. Maybe 550-600 unless it sits for a long time.

Why not find out how damaged it is? May not even be worth it.

Went ahead and picked up the last PSPGo in my area at $140... The sticker on the back says that the free games promotion is good through September 30, 2011 - just for those of you on the fence. It gets you LBP (you probably got this free from the PSN thing, anyway), Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters and SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo for free... Inside the pack it says that the promotion ended March 31, 2011 - but the outside of the box has a sticker over the original promo block that says September 30, 2011...

^Interesting, were you able to redeem those 3 free games still?

I'm going to wait, not something I just got to buy at that price. If I don't get one no big deal with the PS Vita/NGP coming out.

The main reason I want one is because I got the PSPgo dock for cheap from Target and being able to use a DualShock 3 with it. If the PS Vita/NGP has that feature or works with PSPgo accessories, then it won't hurt too bad if I miss out on the clearanced PSPgo.

Haven't yet - I'm going to try it tonight. I figure if so, then that's 2 more free games. If not, no biggie. I really just got it so that I can watch digital copies of movies when my son is winding down at night. I'm only going to play games on it occasionally.

More info on the promotion being extended:
Living in Central Florida - I've got about 5 Targets I visit regularly(between two homes and work) and every single ones Electronics clearance has disappeared.
I'm in Central Florida too and I agree that the clearance is pathetic. Was at Millenia Target the other day and all they had was an Ipod Touch case. The Target at Hunters Creek used to be decent, but nothing lately.

I think the electronic clearance disappearance is quite widespread. Seems like whenever current clearance is out, they kill it. Perhaps it will come back in the fall, but I'm going to stop checking my targets for a while until I hear otherwise on this thread.

I really hope it comes back full force in the fall. It's been a joke for a long time now. There's been a few sporadic things here and there but really since about early to mid-spring it's been crappy.

First - THIS IS NOT A DEAL - but the Bay Shore Target had 2 of the PSP "Father's Day Bundles", at full price, but they are a little hard to come by at this point. I almost picked one up but $84 GS credit to spend.

Second - yes, clearance is bad everywhere. This Target had some non-game clearance crap where crappy shovelware clearance games should have been.

Third - a bunch of games on sale in this weeks flyer. I don't recall Target having so many games on sale before. Maybe they are trying the "sale" route before discounting?

Fourth - I needed to post this as I felt bad the thread had dropped to the third page of deals ;-) (heck, there are 2 DEAD threads above this one)

The timing of clearance cycles is interesting. BestBuy has had a good deal of systemwide clearance at this time and Target clearance is nonexistant.

Yup, you'd think if BB has so much crap to clearance out than Target must have SOMETHING.

BTW, Salisbury, MD clearance was gone too from what I could see. Still had tons of toy clearance ($17 imaginex pirate/viking ship I may have to go back and buy for my Son), but I noticed there wasn't as much endcap clearance in general throughout the store.

Saw pokemon black dsi bundle marked as NCF 179.99 full price at a far off store but damn at that store there was a bunch of hot blondes. .... Chicks, milf , and some that im pretty sure were jailbait

I bought a Sunbeam 1 Qt ice cream maker for $3 when it was 90% off. Pretty sweet deal. (Pun intended) I know it is not video game related but I was so happy with it that I thought I would share.
Picked up a MegaBlocks UNSC Active Camo Spartan today for 3.74 (75% off).

Passed on those at 7.50. May bite at 3.75.

Sort of gaming-related Target clearance note - the Dig Dug and Galaga novelty t-shirts have finally hit the clearance rack. They were $6.74 at mine. I'll wait until they hit the $4.00 or under mark. Hopefully, they'll still have my size by then.

Excellent to know, will keep an eye out on the rounds this week.

Toys are supposed to go down to 75% clearance this Thursday as part of their annual summer clearance. (So I've been told)
Might try going to Target for that. Would be cool to pick up something like a Lego set which never go on sale.
Yeah, I agree. I was looking at some when they were 50%, but still too much. I haven't bought a lego set in years, kinda want one.
Found blur for $9.99 but didn't feel like buying it
I would actually consider rebuying Blur for $10. Loved it, traded it, miss it a bit.

And this is the other reason Target is an incredible place to be.

Found Contra 4 (DS), Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (360) and Tekken 6 (360) today at the Target on York Crossing Drive in York, PA. Contra 4 was $14.99 and I didn't check the prices for the other two games.

Never mind. Found it in an earlier part of the thread.

It's 207-19-0066 in case anyone else is looking.

Darksiders ps3
TV Superstars
LOTR Aragorn's Quest ps3
My sims sky heroes 360
And a bunch of ds shovelware
Toys are supposed to go down to 75% clearance this Thursday as part of their annual summer clearance. (So I've been told)
i'll keep an eye out then. i used to be able to drop by target at open during the 75% clearance. i've got a new job now so i have to get to work by 730am. sucks for me. but good since i used to spend hundreds on toys!

Not technically clearance, but Target currently has Dragon's Lair Trilogy Wii for 14.99. I grabbed it yesterday. MSRP is 29.99 still I think. Good deal on classic collection of games.

terrible day for video game clearance, but an excellent day for toy, baby and (strangely) men's jeans clearance! lots of 50 and 75% off stuffs for the wee ones. found a wolverine :ps3: out of system so picked it up just to keep hope alive.

My Target has no real clearance items like you guys are posting. They had a section marked clearance games, but nothing was too cheap. I asked a worker and he said they don't do that until end of summer. Was this dude talking out of his ass?

Reading this thread... it would seem to be truthful.
I might have to take Thursday off of work so I can go to Target and stock up on cheap shit for the kid's Christmas.
Target toy clearance is YMMV just like the video games...you might lose work to find toys that are only 30% to 50% off still.

Agreed. Went to a bunch of different targets and they are all different.

Last year it seemed like the 75% off was fairly universal. Plus I'm pretty sure they do it by the end of July.

Does anyone have experience with the online sites clearance? Does it also hit 75% off? It looks like some decent prices already.
