Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
What did the coupon look like? Was it a manufacturer's "sticky"?
I saw those a while back, but by the time it went 75% off, I saw none with the stickies on them.
saw a small army of psps for 60% off (ended up being something like 74.34). weird clearance prices make me uncomfortable. end in .98 dammit!
Lol we have 14 at my local store along with some gos. They just don't seem to break 30% off at my local store...

Prices that end in a 4 usually indicate a final markdown price. ~60% off is a strange price but it does happen once in a while with electronics. Last year I got a 19" TV with a built in DVD player for $95.04 when the original price was $249.99, which is around 62% off.
Is the DLC disc based or a voucher? Just wonder if Target ever restocked with the disc based version.
Don't quote me on this, but I'm fairly certain it was a voucher. It had all the DLC lined up in a small yellow patch near the bottom left corner, like it was a code to be redeemed. To my understanding, the normarl GOTY version has no such insignia.
What did the coupon look like? Was it a manufacturer's "sticky"?
Yeah it was stuck to the toy on the top of the box that said save $5 now.. It was a square yellow coupon.

Dang, the Boba Fett helmets disappeared from my local Targets a few weeks ago. Wanted to get one for my kid to go along with his clone trooper helmet.

Its the one that has the vouchers for the DLC. I know this because it specifically said "vouchers" for DLC on the cover lol

I sit on the couch in my underwear playing video games with my Boba Fett helmet on. I arrange Cheetos in my belly button like cocktail shrimp and every once in awhile I stuff one under the helmet for refeshment.

What does everyone else do with their Boba Fett helmet?

I saw:

PS3
H.A.W.X. 2 - $9.98
LoTR: Aragorn's Quest - Couldn't see the price
EA Create - $9.98

I bought H.A.W.X. 2 since I had a gift card and it was the only one. I can wait for the other two to drop.

^^^My Hero.

Went to Target looking to get a PSP.

When you guys see them marked down, are they on the clearance shelf at the end of the aisle or are they still behind the glass but marked down? The Targets I found that still had the PSP still had them behind the glass with no mark downs. TIA

It's only the pspgo. And they are still in the case here but stickered for clearance.
Is anyone still finding the sly collection for 8 bucks anywhere ?
No, that disappeared over a month ago.

Does anyone have the ASIN for the Borderlands GOTY (PS3) at Target? I found the number on Amazon, but it's not working in the tracker. I was thinking it might be different between the disc/voucher editions.

PIcked up PSPGo for $50. Then realized even if that were true, I'd still be bawling my eyes out that I had wasted $50 on a useless piece of junk.

My stores still had it price tagged at $140 when I checked yesterday (Tuesday). I'd so pick up a PSPgo for $50 just for my digital copies of PSone/Minis/PSPgames/Demos/Trailers.

Are there any more? i want a white one if u can pick 1 up for me.

Ended up getting 360 Toy Story 3 for 14.xx, mainly so my niece and Son can mess around in the sandbox mode (though I won't deny I'll probably play it too). Also got one of the cloaked Halo MegaBloks for my gameroom for 3.xx I didn't see any real electronics though except for two TV's literally shoved underneath the lowest shelf under the games (which were moved to a different end cap). Was hoping for an HDD or something.

Reading comprehension FTL!

I picked up Darkstriders for $14. They also had More Carnival games(or something to that effect) with a Wii motion sensor included for $15.

Picked up 2x Darksiders for XBox360 today for $14.xx each. I'd prefer a PS3 version though. So if anyone has who picked up the PS3 version and wants to trade, PM me.

Just picked up a PSPgo for $72.17 after employee discount (around $74.99 on clearance).

It was listed at $149 this morning, but after talking to someone on my pricing team, I found out that the PSPgo was going to be "zeroed out/salvaged", which means that we should have donated/recycled them/sent them back to Sony. When that happens, we have the option to keep it in the store and discount it even more. We scanned it and I almost jumped when I saw that it was marked down ANOTHER 50%!!!!!

YMMV greatly with this, the only reason this happened at my store was because I know how the clearance system works. I already have a PSP 3000, but it was totally worth it to have it for this cheap.

Plus, knowing Amazon, there will be a pretty good trade in value when the Vita comes out.

Good luck to all!

Congrats! They slowly trickled away at $140 at the store close to me. I would definitely buy at $75. Any more left you could share? ;)

Depends on how much of a profit I'd get from you :p

It's in the Pittsburgh area. Anyone around the area who wants the exact store can PM me.

So wait. Were they supposed to go from 30% to Salvage? Or just supposed to be salvaged before they got to 75%?

It looks like they were supposed to go salvage after $149. Once it hits salvage, it will normally NOT notify the pricing team to lower it any farther, but if a pricing team member discovers that its salvage on their own, they can choose to mark it down. The computer will just not normally notify to knock it down more because there is the option of salvaging.
He was making a joke, which was terrible.

He did not find any Go's for $50
Oh, yeah, that joke Invicta made about sitting in his underwear wearing his Boba Fett helmet was MUCH better. *rolls eyes*

Nice find, NHDrumline17, but I still wouldn't buy one for that price
Just sold my PS3 and saw a stack of Infamous' clearanced at $14.98... :whistle2:(
It was free for like a month when PSN came back up

Yesterday, I saw Darksiders (PS3) for $13.98 along with Hasbro Family Game Night 3 (360) for $27.98. My local store had a few copies of the Platinum Hits Gears of War (360) with the bonus disc for $5.06. It was an online deal, so the price had to be overridden manually. The SKU rang up at $19.99.

And a word of warning - don't buy anything that says "repackaged" off the clearance shelf. I bought a 22" Philips TV yesterday for $161.01, got it home and both the remote and the mount for the screen were missing from the box. I had to drive all the way back an hour later and argue with Target employees. When I got there, I had to repeatedly refer to the fact that there was a layer of dust on the screen and that there was no way that much dust could have accumulated within an hour of me purchasing it. It had obviously been opened and enjoyed, and the person who returned it didn't put everything back in the box. Anyway, if you want to save gas, leave the "repackaged" stuff alone.

With "Repackaged" stuff I try to pay attention to exactly whats wrong with the packaging. I've seen some in plain generic boxes, and some in the original, very beat up from sitting on the sales floor, but still sealed, boxes. It's possible the one you get was a floor model as well, and an employee or a shoplifter just walked off with the remote, the mount... iunno.

Perhaps you bought a dust machine and created that layer of dust!

I always stay away from repackaged goods too. Just no need as sometimes it's cheaper just to buy it on clearance from somewhere else. I bought a camera once from target where the lens was broken. Never again.

I picked up a pair of "portable" speakers that were re-packaged once. They were like $40 speakers marked down to $7, and I figured they'd make descent speakers to hook up with my MP3 player in the bathroom. They actually work great but I can tell whey they were returned, they are in no way "portable" they're actually quite large. haha.

Saw darksiders for 9.99 xbox
Castlevania for 25 xbox
Lego batman 14.99 xbox
Decided to try to see if i can see if lego batman can get lower

Looks like my target is out of the dry season for now

somehow PSPGo's at my local one went to 75 as noted above on a friday. Still going momday as I think el hordo hid one behind some toys.
