Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
I am here to find cheap games too!!! But I just throw them in the trash for kicks...

Playing msrp games is so much better, but I guess you wouldn't understand that. You get what you pay for, and I get a lot more than you :p
Wait, I just got 3 great ds games online for 30 in which the msrp for those 3 games is over 70 with tax yet its sooooo much better to spend the extra 40 for the same 3 games ? Lmao what the fuck is wrong with you ? We all have jobs but that doesn't mean we have to be stupid with our money. Your parents probibly buy everything for you so that's why you don't worry about getting a great deal. Just get out of here and leave us "poor" people alone to the bargin hunting. You really should get banned
First you don't have enough money to support your video game habit, now you're making fun of kids??

Think of all the poor kids (who have more money than you) that might be RAGE-buying video games (at full price), due to your well thought out insult. :~(

you sicken me sir
Ban this a-hole.
If you are going to troll, at least attempt to make sense.
This is going to difficult for him since he's been huffing AC units all summer.

When did bashing kids become the status quo for insults? Are they really that bad just because they're younger than you??

I mean, how old are you anyway? And that begs the question, what part of your life are you not able get that makes you turn to video games?

I understand that kids can't drive, so they play a racing game... Can you not afford a car or something?

Just because i'm right, doesn't mean you have to resort to sticks and stones. I for one think you guys are great, and am trying to help you better your position in life. But all you want to do is hurt my feelings.

sad face

Nice attempt at trying to change the subject. Maybe the better approach would have been for you to admit your original comment was just plain dumb and move on.

You really should get banned
Those 3 ds games were a lot more fun the on day one!! Now no one wants them after graphics and technology increased since they were made. I guess my trash is another mans treasure.

I just wish you would raise your bar in video game buying, you would be a lot happier person.
Nice attempt at trying to change the subject. Maybe the better approach would have been for you to admit your original comment was just plain dumb and move on.
Ok, so this one guy spends his time stalking 3 targets long enough to know the exact day a time the sale racks open on each store. Driving to those 3 stores (on different days) just to save a couple $$ seems like a waste of time, unless your time isn't worth anything. Then after all that he spends more time gloating about it on the internet he uses from the library.

Who does that? HOBOS do, and that is a whole different subject.

Did you ever consider that some ppl do this for fun or as a hobby, or as way to justify to significant others that they are not using communal funds. Just let it go.

oh Aukey. please stop. Each comment you continue to make, makes less and less sense. I dont want it to get worse for you. - but on topic, no clearance at my target for the past months.

Found HAWX 2 for the PS3 for 5 bucks today, not too bad.

Professor Layton and the curious village is still sitting at 15, I'll wait for 10 or less.
Was gonna do that but I had to pull the trigger on prof. layton curious village yesterday b/c it was the last one in stock.
Trust me you will get your money's worth. Great game

Tiger Woods '11 - $14.98 for both PS3 and Xbox
EA Create - $19.98 for PS3
Professor Layton and the Curious Village? - $20.98

I'm hoping they drop soon.

O first time ever that i see saw so many clearance games. Got 5 psp games 4.95 each. Logans shadow, ff 2, adventures to go, tomb raider anni, and manhunt 2. Just bought my psp this morning off cl. Gonna play syphon filter now, was my fav game on ps1

The Target in Moreno Valley off of Nason & the 60 Fwy had about 30 WiiPlay Bundles for $12.48, picked one up for my g/f's family so they can co-op Just Dance 2.

:wii: WiiPlay Bundle - $12.48
:360: Blur - $9.98
:ds: Rock Band 3 - $4.98

Also, kicking myself for not picking up Professor Layton for $14.98 the other day, should've just used the evil credit card.

Whoohoo! Guess they dropped prices today at my Target, since I was just there yesterday.
Picked up:
Professor Layton - $7.xx
Pictionary (DS) - $3.xx
Tiger Woods 11 (360) - $7.xx

Also saw:
Lego Rock Band (DS) - $9.xx
Rock Band (DS) - $9.xx
Megamind (360) - $7.xx
Tatsuwhatever vs. Capcom (wii) - $14.xx

Best stash I've seen a while.

My target has a Pspgo with the right number but it still came up 140 in the system. Also had him check dungeon siege III and that came up 60 still. Was a swing and a miss for me today. Tried the pictionary for ds as well but came up $10. Guess target didn't want a new friend.

Keep a close eye on that sucker if you really want it. Seems all the Targets in my area sent their PSPgos to the dump without even dropping the price. Just a bunch of half-empty PSP lockup cases :(

Picked up Need For Speed Undercover (ps3) for 4.98. Though after reading the reviews...it looks like it may not even be worth that much. Anyone have any specific opinions on this one ?

i had it like a year ago but it was ok, for $5 i say its worth it but it can get boring after a while since it isnt as good as most wanted or carbon but for $5 i say its worth it.
Oh! Forgot to mention I saw a completely random :ps3: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 SE too for $48.98 and :wii: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for $14.98.
I've been watching a copy of :ps3: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 SE for awhile now, it was still $69 last time I was there. It will have to drop WAY below $49 before I'll even consider it with the Ultimate edition coming out.

is there a way to print out the scan codes for the games , i don't think the price scan machines have the option to type in the number at my location.

My nearest Target just got an influx of PSP core packs - about 16 I think - but no Go's. The core packs are still $129, but I'm hoping they drop before they're gone.

I saw these today at my local store for 34.98 I believe.

Same here. Three copies for $34.98 each at the Winchester VA store. Also had at least 15 Wii Play w/ Wiimote bundles priced at $24.98. Passed on both.

Read the first post.
saw professor layton today for 7.xx, didn't buy it but will tomorrow.
Which Professor Layton is it? I'll go through the previous pages later. Thanks ahead. I got Curious Village from Sears for about $5 before tax and would like to get the rest of the games in the series on the DS.

Probably Curious Village, saw that at my local Target.

Got the following yesterday at an out of the way Target:

Battle of Giants: Dragons (DS) - $4.98
Rock Band 3 (DS) - $4.98
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 (PS3) - $7.48
TV Superstars (PS3) - $4.98

Between these cheap PS3 Move games and the $6.99 pre-owned Sports Champions deal at Gamestop this week, I really need to invest in a Move controller...

This morning's only new :ps3: title at my store was UFC Undisputed 2010 for $7.48 code 207-24-0341. Which they hadn't even put out with the other clearance stuff. It was on a pile of copies by the cash register that I happened to notice while I was leaving so I grabbed one and headed for the front register. Not much else out today for any platform. A couple of forgettable DS titles and 8-10 Wii Play packs w/ remotes for $29.98
Picked up MLB The Show 10 :ps3: for 9.98 this morning. Always wanted to take this series for a spin and 10 bucks is the right price for me!
I love the show series but you are warned, this series will kick your ass if you don't play right ! You acually have to think like a ml pitcher (you know location, changing speeds, expanding the strike zone). For hitting you will have to play a lot to get used to it. It's hard to score in this game

Visited my Target for the first time in a few years. Electronics clearance was terrible. Only like 10 games in it and nothing interesting. I did pick up a Magic the Gathering Fire and Lightning shiny deck for $17.50, which is 50% off. Saw it at Walmart on clearance for $27.77 and was thinking of buying it there. Glad I didn't.

My Target doesn't even have an electronics clearance section anymore. They had a couple PS Move games marked clearance in the regular video game display though.

I've only played MLB 11 The Show. Currently, I pitch and hit on All-star difficulty on default. Even after getting used to the game's mechanics, there have been times when I've kicked the computer's ass and got my ass kicked royally.

I recommend checking out Operation Sports to see what you can tweak in the game. People there have spent hours editing sliders and tweaking player stats.

I love the Sounds of the Show feature, where you can upload songs to be played as though they were in a real game.

I don't change the sliders, I just play it the way it was ment to be played. Makes it even better when I win. The only thing that makes me mad about the game sometimes is that no matter what hitter you are using you seem to hit into a lot of double plays with runners on.

Picked up some decent stuff today..

ps3 - UFC 2010 $7.48

360 - Megamind $7.48

DS - Rock Band 3, Backyard Sports, Some 10 in 1 sports game, Millionaire all $4.98 and Bakugon with a figure for $7.48

Got the newest Professor Layton game for DS for 7.48 today from my local Target...

Also MMA PS3 for 4.98

Kinda glad Target went back to the 75% off pricepoint as opposed to 70% which they did for a couple months

Yeah. I basically try to avoid hitting pitches that will likely lead into ground balls whenever I have a man on first. I'm more upset about hitting pop flies at the most inopportune moments (that might leave a man stranded on third), or hitting balls that start off looking like homers that end up fouling.

As for not editing the sliders, the rationale for why people have done it has more to do with balancing the game's mechanics than to change it for the sake of changing it. Like, people aren't editing them to make the game any easier. They edit them so, the game reflects more real-life tendencies, like decreasing baserunners' speed, decreasing relievers' stamina, decreasing how far players can throw, or increasing errors made on the field. It's often a subtle change, like one or two notches up or down. But, players have tweaked them and subsequently run them through simulations.

I'd check the ones that have been stickied.
