Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
If u don't mind me asking what target was this at and did they have anymore darksiders for the PS3 been wanting to pick that up for cheap.
Sorry I just noticed this post...this was at the Inglewood Ingle-hood Target by Hollywood Park Race Track. It was the last copies of Darksiders and PS3 Borderlands GOTY anywhere in LA from what I can tell...although Borderlands GOTY PS3 still shows up as "limited availability" at the La Cienega store, it's no where to be found...either employees have them hidden in some back storage room, or some customer hid them somewhere in the store, maybe men's undies.

BTW today as I picked up the last couple of Professor Layton's for $7.48 for myself and a friend, I came across a ton (25+ bundles all semi-crushed in spider wrap) of Wii Play with the WiiMote bundles (the original, non-motion plus) for $12.48. Passed on them since I can't imagine they are worth anything, either from a flip perspective or resale perspective. Are these old WiiPlay bundles worth it? I don't need any more WiiMotes.

Also, what about these EA Sports Active 2 bundles for $10.00? This same store had a dozen of each for Wii and PS3, but given all the sales and clearances on these things lately, I imagine there is no point to trying to profit off them.

I saw a stack of these:

Grabbed the last PSPgo from the North Little Rock, AR store yesterday for $69.94. I hadn't seen one for weeks, then suddenly this one pops up out of no where. Oddly, it was both spider wrapped AND in the case. Seemed kind of overkill. I just wish I'd had the foresight to buy the PSPgo cradle when I say it at two stores a month ago for 75% off.
Where is the Target clearance section at? It used to be back in a corner years ago but I haven't seen it since they moved everything around.
it usually at the end caps near the video game section but ppl are starting to see them move like mine that got moved to the end cap near the phone section.

Check up and down on all aisle and endcaps from DVD to MP3 section where they keep the stereos and stuff.

Picked up:

DJ Hero 2 (game only) (360) x2
Final Fantasy II (PSP) x2
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - Anniversary (PSP) x2
Adventures to Go! (PSP) x2
Manhunt 2 (PSP)

All are available for trade.

They also had:

Wii Play bundles for $12.48
Samurai Warriors (3DS) $9.98
Bust a Move (3DS) $7.48

and a bunch of 2010 MLB The Show for various systems on the cheap.

Oh Snap! Picked up MvC3 SE 360!

It was tagged at 34.xx so I scanned it...came up not on file.

Went to a lady with a gun who scanned it and said "it's salvage/donation..." asked so what was the last lowest price before it hit salvage? and according to her scanner it was 17.xx

so she went to her manager and they scanned it and printed out a tag and the guy said "How's 8.74 sound to you?" Never once have I seen a manager so PLEASED to sell me a heavily discounted game like that.

It's got some Spider lock damage :bomb::bomb::bomb: but everything looks good so far and still sealed!

Also picked up RB3 DS and Megamind 360 for my nephews.

This was at the Sterling west location!

You lucky duck! My Target had one of those left but it was still at $44.xx. I was waiting for it to drop but apparently someone else bought it, cause it's disappeared.

was it spidered? I just don't understand why don't they just lock it up OR put it in one of those security cases. Spidering it is overkill. Just noticed the steelbook has arc like scratch on the front cover..argh...but oh well...

Did you scan it? There have been many times that I have found the sticker had not been updated but the price had dropped.

Because sometimes associates forget to lock up the glass case. Cases are easy to break. Spider wrap cables dont cost as much and difficult to remove. They do damage the outer boxes, but it help reduce shrinkage.
Unless u took the merchandise with the wrap on it outside the store and then its easier to get off. (will make a sound)
Please tell me there are more copys of dark dawn :)
There were 4-5 copies last week when it was 17.48 but I got the last one when it dropped to 8.74.

Man I'm getting tired of reading that response (not mad at you though lol). The guy who found zelda said the same thing :( why is everyone finding all the pretty good to cool stuff on clearance except for me ?

Picked up Tatsunoku vs. Capcom for $15 to go with the $130 Wii bundle I bought at a different Target yesterday. Not a bad time to start playing Wii games!

tonight ---

PS3 --MLB The Show 10 -- $9.99
DS----Prof.Layton Curious Village - $7.48
DS----Rock Band 3 - $4.99

always wanted to try MLB The Show. Not a huge baseball fan so last years version is fine with me. Didn't see any 3DS games. It was mostly DS games (and the majority of them were Indiana Jones and the something Staff).
Picked up dragon quest ix and golden sun dark dawn for 8.74 each.
DQ9 is a nice find. That was a co-op release with Nintendo, and may never get a drop.

My experiences with NYC (limited to Queens) Targets have been really bad. I never find anything remotely god honestly.

Does a decent clearance Target exist in the boroughs? I probably can't make trips to the ones outside Queens, but if I just heppen to be in some of those decent Targets neigboroods... it would be great to know.

Thanks.

Great find my good man! I thought I found a good one when I saw the same priced for 34.98 a month ago and it rang up 17.XX.
The case was the one thing that almost kept me from getting rid of it.
I thought the art was tastefully done. What did you not like?
The case was the one thing that almost kept me from getting rid of it.
What...?! I have no interest in the game though almost bought it for $70 for the case alone.

You should try the location in Valley Stream. It's like a 15-20min bus ride from Jamaica Center as I've gone their from Brooklyn before and seen some decent clearance stuff awhile back.
Picked up :360: Blur for $9.98. Passed on :ps3: UFC Undisputed 2010 for $7.48.
+1

My target moved all the clearance stuff. It used to be on an endcap mixed with other crap. Now its in the middle of the electronics section on its own endcap with nothing but games. makes it easier to browse. It was almost all wii shovel ware garbage though. Blur was the only ok looking game

would love some of the DS stuff you guys are listing

You guys misunderstood. I unloaded the game as soon as I heard about the Ultimate edition because I knew I wouldn't need this one and the price would really drop.

The steelbook was awesome and was the one reason I contemplated keeping it.

Thanks for that knowledge. If I'm ever in that area I will stop by if time permits. Great to know. Won't get my hopes up, but something decent is better than virtually zero.

I also thought about unloading the game like you Tsel, but didn't want to part with the case. I'm on the fence with Ultimate. Wasn't thrilled with how things unfolded.

Not much at the Austin Super Target on Parmer. They had two copies of BF1942 for PC at $6-ish and a copy of :ds: Picross 3D for more than what Amazon sells it for new.
Tatsunoko vs Capcom is $15 at Target in Glen Burnie, MD North. Saw a few copies, but I already own it. Such an awesome game.
same thing with me! the last time I went to my target last week thought they was just one copy in Dartmouth,MA.

Was at Target today and picked up.

PS3- Tiger Woods 11- $7.50- will flip to Goozex for 450 pts
NDS- Professor Layton and the Curious Village- $7.50
Pokemon Black and White Art Folio- $4, looked cool should have bought more for friends

They had a bunch of stuff including inFAMOUS for $15 and a bunch of Laytons.

Also its worth noting that i saw something different at the Target I went to.
They had clearance games among the regular games in those weird holders.

They have red placards so you can spot them out. Just worth telling you guys so you know what to look for. It's where I found the Tiger woods PGA tour 11 at.

No PS3 clearance for me today. A couple of Xbox titles. A lot of Wii and DS though. 8-10 copies of Metroid Other M alone for $24.98.
Been keeping an eye on those Wii Play combo packs
What's the lowest you've seen so far, $12-ish? Also do you happen to have the DPCI?
What's the lowest you've seen so far, $12-ish? Also do you happen to have the DPCI?
There was one left at my location this morning. I was thinking of stopping by on my way home from work again just in case they hadn't gotten to marking down PS3 stuff before I got there this morning.

If it's still there I'll grab the price and DPCI and post it.
