a heavily wwe influenced version of wcw's webpage has been relaunched at wcw.com.
Someone already posted that.

And that site is a fucking joke.

PGW looks like a really bad porn that involves golden showers and domination.

Although in looking them up on Youtube, I found a number of videos claiming to have proof that Cody Rhodes is gay...

and people wonder why Michael Cole wasn't fired :D
What? PGW? The Gay Avenger?!

From prowrestling.net:

TMZ is reporting that the Pro Gay Wrestling Federation (PGW) is upset over WWE announcer Michael Cole's use of a gay slur on his Twitter. PGW Champion The Gay Avenger said the use of the word was "intolerant and insensitive" and encourages a "hostile bullying environment." He is also unhappy that Cole was not punished and only has to attend the GLAAD sensitivity training.

More on Finlay's release

WrestleZone has learned that the decision to fire top WWE agent/producer Dave "Fit" Finlay came straight from the top. In an exclusive discussion with a key WWE insider, we learned the decision was made by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon himself, with no resistance from longtime Finlay supporter John Laurinaitis.

"Finlay's decision to have Miz interrupt the National Anthem was just not timely, and it was stupid," our source told us, "it's old old old old old old school heat that doesn't translate well in today's society. Fit should have known better."

Finlay was best known for working with the females, and we can exclusively report he was scheduled to handle the Trish Stratus/Snooki tag team match at Wrestlemania. No decision has been made yet as to Fit's replacement for that celebrity encounter. As of this posting, it is assumed John Laurinaitis will handle the match unless he pitches someone different to Vince McMahon.

Part of the thing that I love about the Finlay articles is how it always seems to laud his work with the women's division. As someone who has been watching the women's division, I have to say that I'm not seeing what is so amazing about what he did.

Most of the women are 'reasonable' in the ring, at best, and the division itself has no general purpose or storylines to speak, unless your name happens to contain Lay or Cool.

... so, yeah. Just pointing that out. The above article did bring up a great point, though, one which brings my certainty about his return into question... if he was truly as trusted with the women as it would seem, ditching him while he was in the process of working on the most high-profile casual interest match on the card isn't an awesome sign.

Since most of you believe WWE mishandled the acquisition of WCW, what do you guys think would have happened if WCW won the monday night wars?

Think about how bad it is now, and think about how terrible it used to be.

Was he still doing that though? The praise he got was mainly from the Trish/Lita/Jazz/Molly/etc era, which he did have a major hand in.

SALUTE HITLER IN GERMANY OR CALL A FELLOW EMPLOYEE A $$$$$$ ON TWITTER = WORLD TITLES AND BIG WRESTLEMANIA PAYDAYS

Reluctant to give up his wrestling career, Super Porky transitioned from WWE Superstar to internet sensation.

......I have that WWE title replica sitting in my closet right now.............

I won it from a raffle held during the intermission of an indy event. When I took it out of the packaging, I started shouting "I'M THE MIZ!!!" while hamming it up with "tears of joy".

Why the fuck do people do this shit? Do kids not have friends to hang out with and instead clog the internet with themselves?

This kid has hundreds of videos on Youtube. Most of which surround the topic of "wrestling." He also sings Elvis tunes and shares his Wal-Mart shopping experiences.

Thanks to this kid, we now have proof that there is a Hell... and he's Hell's president of the WWE president of the election of president... election.

EDIT: The transcribed audio says that at 1:15 he said "previously the enjoy the implants".:rofl::rofl:

You know.

The HHH vs. Taker (featuring Shawn Michaels) promo makes me think that they might actually put Hunter over and have that be the farewell for taker. Then next year Taker goes into the Hall of Fame and HHH defends his career and loses - putting someone like Cena over - and rides off himself into the sunset as well.

Have any of you guys seen any ads for the Road to WrestleMania promotion where you get a $50 WWE Shop gift card if you buy Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania? I found some a link and it was mentioned on wrestling news sites before, but I'm not sure how legit it all looks and I can't find any mention of it on any TV providers or the WWE's website. I can't imagine people could really do anything too corrupt with your cable bill, but it just seems weird how hard it is to get info.

Joystiq gave WWE All-stars a 4.5/5. Everyone loves it including myself. This game doesn't have all the features of a SvR game, but I dont think that matters really. CAW is deep enough to make good looking characters and its a hybrid fighting game so it makes perfect sense you can't customize the moves in a move for move style. You are comparing Madden to Blitz, and we all know that Blitz is a hella lot more fun.

I wish the game gave us some templates for the create a wrestlers that were not assigned to a wrestler in game. Just like 4-6 choices of fighting style that don't have a name attached to them. Aside from that gripe I love this game and if anyone wants to play you can add me on XBL or send a PM on here if you want.

Punk vs Austin via Twitter.

Nexus leader CM Punk and WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin had a strong exchange of words on Twitter on Wednesday, with Punk challenging Austin to a fight. It all started when Paul Heyman's site Heyman Hustle site posted a fantasy matchup between Austin and Punk as part of their promotion of the WWE All Stars video game.

In a followup to the story, Punk tweeted the following: "I like how THQ acts like they don't know what would happen if @steveaustinBSR and I were to lock horns. Everybody knows. SXE > Beer." Punk followed up with: GTS > stunner.

Within 3 minutes, Punk's tweet earned over a hundred re-tweets. It was trending throughout North America within two hours. It trended globally this morning.

Austin replied to punk - and says he's got a can a whoop ass with Punk's name on it:

@CMPunk alright Punk...you just crossed the line...i'll be seeing your ass in Atlanta.

@CMPunk Alright son...I'm about to get off this treadmill and RUN to Atlanta..bringing some extra cans of Whoop Ass!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

@CMPunk What are you doing son, asking for advice/lessons etc.? I'll give your pierced lipped ass a couple lessons when I see you. Out.
I forget if this was ever posted here (this interview is back from February), but this 3-part Chris Jericho interview is a great listen.

I have to say that he's spot-on about how much of a schizophrenic Cole can be.
Was glad to hear his thoughts on JR and that he still referred to it as "wrestling."

Thanks for posting it.
When did wrestlers become "internetz is surys bidness" battle nerds?
Oh, come on. Let them try to break the fourth wall.

Some people try too hard while online. Or are just sincerely fuckin' creepy in the youtube videos they post (or worse yet, the fact that they garner so many followers).

Twitter battle seems trite, yeah. But sensible. As long as it remains a subtle means of enhancing feuds and characters, and we don't have a PPV match stip of "loser gets deleted from Raw GM's facebook friendlist."

That would be more Russo anyway.

The Twitter arguments are one of the few ways WWE actually has adapted to the modern day in a fairly entertaining way. They're still working, just doing it via another avenue. Heck, even stuff like dumbass Cole's VINTAGE GAY BASHING!! is entertaining for all the wrong reasons.

Friend posted this elsewhere, it's worth putting up here. It was especially appropriate after that fucking hysterical Cena press conference speech, which had next to nothing to do with his actual match and was just him using corporate buzzwords for several minutes.

The John Cena Version of Wrestlemania III Build-Up
Andre: "I'm challenging you fo da World Heavyweight Champyunship"
Cena: "FUDGE MUSTARD AND PRETZEL STICKS! We're supposed to be friends, Andre! Some people here think you can beat me and that's ok. That's what's great about World Wrestling Entertainment, people can boo or cheer whoever they want. At Wrestlemania, it will be a grand production and we will have several major mainstream outlets there."

The John Cena Version of Wrestlemania XIII Build-Up
Austin: "IT'LL NEVER BE OVER, JOHN. It'll never be over 'til I look down on your grave and it says 'Here lies John Cena, the biggest piece of crap that ever walked the Earth'!"
Cena: "Well, clearly, some people here agree with you and that's okay! That's what great about sports entertainment. People can cheer whoever they want! Apparently, you don't like my shirt colors or that I like rap, I guess that's your problem with me. Well, the only rattlesnakes you like are the ones that rattle around Brokeback Mountain!" ::points to Wrestlemania sign::

The John Cena Version of WM 11 Build-Up
Shawn Michaels: "I will give you a show like you've never seen before. Why? Because I CAN."
Cena: "Shawn is right. It will be a great show. A great night of pageantry.
The production will be unbelievable and it's the culmination of a year's worth of episodic television. Some people want Shawn to win and that's okay, people should boo or cheer whoever they see fit."

My Cena-hate rages.

I don't care if they use Twitter or whatever else, it's just weird with SCSA using the internet to talk smack about someone. He loses his gravitas without the ability to see and hear him.

He loses credibility because I don't see the SCSA persona being able to use a computer.

Stone Cold should have a WebTV that's collecting dust under a mountain of cans of Keystone.
