I didnt say it was peachy keen. I said for everything that is happening to those around her, she could be supportive, rather than make the issues about her. In none of these issues is she the victim; she's related to the victims certainly. And hopefully she cares enough to be supportive of those who are currently suffering.
But to say that so much crap shouldn't happen to one person, is absurd. Has she spent her life devoted to the goodwill and care of others? Is she such a bastion of human goodness that pain ought not touch her?
Suffering, pain, loss. These are elements of life which shape us. We either learn to get beyond ourselves, or we continue in a tiny world that revolves entirely around ourselves.
I feel for the girl. My little bro, my bestest friend, has attempted suicide himself. But I think the last thought in my mind was, "oh mah gosh, my life is so crappy!" More accurately, all you want to do is hold that person and love them and take all the pain out of their hearts and the dread and fear out of their minds.
