Steen and Kingston started fighting. They were separated, he got a hold of the belt and started to drop his pants. The ants (I don't remember their faction name) ran in to stop him.

"A transexual Evel Knievel." Nigel referring to Truth Martini.

Thanks, neo. Seeing Steen walk out eating a banana made me wonder if they'd turn Kingston's sexuality into a way to get Steen even more over as a heel.

Michael Elgin is an enigma. I want to enjoy his work, and he's good - but he's also boring.

Good to see ROH is still using the "looks like a side shot of a piece of wheat toast" graphic underlay when they show wrestlers' names on the screen.

I don't know if you missed this part but Kingston was there to promote an upcoming co-promotion between ROH and Chikara. Steen came out and asked him when he became a bitch, called Chikara a Mickey Mouse promotion and it elevated from there.

I blame his micro mullet.

Now what I want to know is... what kind of jam is on that toast? Strawberry? Apricot? Orange? Blackberry? THIS IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!!

Noise.

Hillbilly Carl Ouellett?

ROH mistimed and had Kevin Steen come out during the video package hyping up the match. That includes having the crowd audio (and Steen's music) overlap the video package audio. They ended up cutting off the video package.

It's been much better overall than Final Battle. Not perfect, but having been involved in numerous events with live feed production/presentation (and we do much better than ROH), I empathize with how difficult it is.

Now, if these are Sinclair employees, that's another story. But if they're dudes working for peanuts (or nothing), trying to get experience, that's fine. DIY isn't always great.

The first few ROH iPPVs had numerous issues as well ranging from audio mixing issue, server issues, etc. I'm assuming most of the problems stem from them not being used to using their new equipment in live broadcast. Hopefully the next iPPV or two or three will improve upon tonight towards the presentation being more seamless.

On that note I really wish Kevin Kelly would just call the damn match instead of yammering on and on about how great ROH is.

The stream is smooth, the video quality consistent with very few hiccups, and the in-house lighting decent.

Those are far more important. Everything else is gravy.

That chain exchange b/w Edwards and O'Reilly was fuckin' super sweet.

That is true myke. Those parts of the broadcast have been solid tonight. As long as ROH can fix up the few minor things on the production end then things will be great for them.

This match by the way is great so far. Great reminder that you can in fact tell a great story in the ring by letting the match tell the story.

Good show. Interesting that Cole went over Richards. Steen is practically guaranteed a win over Richards but I hate the fact that there just aren't as many title matches in the company. Richards has been champion for 251 days now.

How many title defenses? 6. That's 1 title defense every 41 days.

Sorry no spoiler tags since show was live.

No worries. If someone can't be bothered to drop $10 to keep indy wrestling thriving, don't privilege them with spoilers.

I had to leave for a while just before Lethal's match so I'll be watching the rest of the show as soon as they have it available for replay.

Amazing show from ROH. The Red/Perkins v Strong/Elgin match is a must-see.

Other thoughts... #Demboys should be in the big league, and Rhett Titus got fat. Richards is good, but he comes across as a guy who lives in his grandma's basement, doing nothing but lifting, watching VHS tapes and reading back issues of PWI. At least that's how I imagine his life outside of the ring to be. His personality is like Michael Elgin's look... three decades late.
Kendrick might be on his way back to the WWE.
1. Is there a source for this, or simply speculation because he's leaving TNA?
2. Why?

I can understand why Kendrick would want to go back to WWE, but I just don't see a scenario in which WWE would want him back. I mean, what would they possibly have for him? They're already under-pushing half the roster, many of whom are on the same relative level he is, and there's a complete lack of anything involving a tag team division. Unless they need to pad NXT or Superstars, I fail to see what Kendrick offers WWE right now.

Maybe that's just me being jaded today, but I see Kendrick returning going just about as well as when Gail Kim came back.

In more fantastic news, Shannon Moore has announced he's 'taking a break from the business'. I hope that lasts forever. fuck him.

There's a few reports about Kendrick working with the WWE to help out on the upcoming cruiserweight WWE Network project.

Gee, I forgot about WWE Network plans. How shocking. I still have $10 bucks on 'never fucking happening', but it's probably not good to bet against the insane hubris of Vince McMahon.

There was a match between The Midnight Express and The Fantastics (I don't remember which show) that absolutely should have been on this set. Morton/Koloff should have been axed and replaced with this one. Overall, though, an incredibly strong list.

I would have bet against XFL happening, or WWE Films happening. They did happen.

Vince McMahon is insane enough to see terrible ideas through to completion, and too stubborn to let them die. ICO-PRO. WBF. Evel Knievel jumps over Space Mountain or whatever the fuck that was.

WWE Network will happen, but it will go over like a WCW wrestler in 2001 WWF. It will go over like a WWF Cruiserweight. It will go over like the WWE Tag Team Champions. It will go over like anyone feuding with Triple H. It will go over like Jim Ross in Oklahoma City.

...you know, I'm actually having fun with this.

You know, I'd be interested in seeing how WWE would use Kendrick if he came back. I mean, for what it's worth, The Brian Kendrick was an mid-upper card guy. Would he come back in the same position? I could definitely imagine him coming back, having a quick 1 PPV feud with Bryan, then moving onto Ziggler or Cody.

I think I know the one you are talking about...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-N3Ck2L_cIE

That the one?

I guess it was. I didn't think it was on the first show but after looking at the cards for the first 10 CotC that has to be it. It ended a little differently than I recall but that's the one. The crowd was ridiculously hot for that match. Cornette was the NWA's equivalent of Bobby Heenan as far as garnering heat. The way that crowd popped when they punched Cornette was off the charts. After skimming over the match I think the main reason that match stuck in my mind has to be the crowd.
Streaker Brian Kendrick should come back.
Bring back Naked Mideon (complete with fanny pack) and pair the two up together as the tag team "Naked Spankeon".

I wouldn't mind seeing The Brian Kendrick show up to help Zeke out and have them do a run together. Maybe not as a tag team or anything, but have them start wreaking havoc on Smackdown. Would be a great way to build Kendrick to upper mid card.
