Missed the Just Cause 2 glitch. I might still get it at $2.49 even though I only have a Mac, since I will probably be getting a Windows laptop in the next year and the console versions (I have both) don't have multiplayer.

Are the Community Choices every eight hours (i.e. the next one at 4am CDT, and the one after that at noon CDT)? And how often have they glitched? Although I know it's probably not the case, it seems that every 2nd or 3rd community choice game has had a price glitch.
The glitch is on Just Cause 1 (still hasn't been fixed). There was no Just Cause 2 glitch.

Eh? I heard nothing of a JC2 glitch. JC1 seems oddly price, however...and remains that way as of posting...

Not Just Cause 2.. Just Cause . It's still showing .27.

Was JC2 glitched? JC1 seems to be (it's $0.27 at 96% off.)

It wasn't Just Cause 2, it is still Just Cause 1 that is $0.27. It's still available at that price, a 96% discount, rather than the 80% of all the other offerings in the package.

Yes, the community deals turn over every 8 hours and the glitches are most likely to occur during the price change.

Well, assuming no surprises during the next few community/flash sales, looks like no S.T.A.L.K.E.R. this time around. Here's hoping for a nice sale in the winter.
I hope to be surprised, I've already bought tons of games but was really looking forward for that series to get in the sale. Some people on the steam forums just went and bought it anyways, as a CAG I can't do that.

No Game of Thrones 75% sale this time around, it wouldn't even be worth the 7.50 at 75% off, but I probably would have bitten anyway. Can't imagine it's selling many if any copies at 50%

I wonder if we (CAG's) will get trolled to the point that STALKER series, Vampire: Bloodlines, and Jade Empire will all go on sale right after Steam Summer Sale is OVER.... ;)

EDIT:

Should note - I own most of these already away from Steam (i.e. Retail for all except STALKER: Call of Pripyat - I own STALKER: COP from GameStop PC App).

You can buy it at full MSRP anytime... so unless one is really going to play it *right-now* it's downright stupid to pay full MSRP (I haven't heard any rumors of it being yanked from steam soon either, which would be a driving -now- reason for some.)

meh now MK is tempting me, especially since SSF4:AE lost in the 4th vote and I've been waiting for the 75% to come back ever since :(.

FFVII will be in a better sale soon enough and I'm not on a rush to play it.

STALKER was like the Garry's Mod/Magicka of its day.  No excuse for not owning those for cheap... nope don't care if someone is new to these sales they should be flogged if that's the case.  Looking back I believe I got those for $5 for SoC and CoP back in Winter 2010.

Wow, the original inferior to a sequel four years later? Who would have thought? :wall:
It was moreso a comment about the nature of CAGs. A dated, inferior game that I will likely never play, has a better version already available that I've sunk countless hours into, and yet because of the cheap price can't pass it up.

SSF4:AE ain't tempting me too much, since Ultra SF4 is due out next year...

Plus, we can guess Capcom will then do Turbo Ultra SF4 Championship Edition for 2015. ;)

EDIT:

MK9: Komplete just needs to get cheaper for me, that's all...

Alright, I'll give you that one. I'm a little jaded by all the seasonal CAGs saying/asking retarded shit. It's my first year. Friends?

Since Just Cause 2 seems to be building off of what Just Cause did (SHOCKER HUH), it's no wonder why JC1 is so cheap. There's really no point in owning it.

Is there any story references in JC2 about JC1 (eg: same character, etc?)  Oh well, I picked it up and finally bought something from the Steam sale!  90%+ savings is good even in my book.  Thanks to cards and Steam wallet of course.

I refuse to pay more than $5 for MK. It's a 3 year old game at this point. Picked it up for $5 on vita a few weeks ago. I'd pay $20 for Injustice, maybe. The MK collection of 1, 2 , UMK3 arcade ports is pretty badass though.

I don't know if we have a separate topic for stuff like this but does anyone want to get a group going for the 4 pack of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed?

So the sale ends at 1 p.m. ET on Monday, yes? Will there be flash sales at 5 a.m. ET? When is the "safe" time to go ahead and buy the stuff we might have been waiting on without risking the sale ending? Has it ever ended earlier than expected?

EDIT: Monday, not Sunday.

Clear Sky was good; it's nowhere as great as SOC & COP.

Clear Sky "remixed" numerous of the original levels from SOC; and it tried to experiment w/ Factions Wars thing. Faction Wars was unfortunately half-baked. While I did like Clear Sky, it's just nowhere as great as the other two.

Still, if you can get Clear Sky cheap - it's worth playing.

EDIT:

What SOC had going for it - even despite its bugs and some technical issues for its time - was it was something brand new and fresh. At it times, it was simply mindblowing and great for its time; even despite its problems.

What made COP so great was it was the most stable, most polished, and a much improved technical engine (XRay) for a STALKER game. They learned every lesson they could from their previous two STALKER titles - and it shows.
