on DVD, i picked up 40 yr old virgin.
which, i remember being hilarious in the theaters, but for some reason lost a lot of it's funniness while i was watching it, maybe I was just tired, because I was watching it while I was eating pizza and mildly remember waking up to notice a couple changed scenes, then being non-entertained again and falling back asleep...was it just me or did the additional footage break a few of those scenes into "Too Long and Too direct to be funny anymore" scenes?? maybe I'll watch it again later.

k
*in theaters* however, I finally got out to see RENT last week, and~ *Amazing*
^___^
I mean, granted I can see where someone not familiar with the fact that this is the majority of the original broadway cast won't get what the middle-aged adults are doing dancing on tables, shooting up, and being more concerned with 'selling out' then being a part of funtioning adult society...
but...proclaiming 'la ve boheme' is still just as fun if you can pretend that Rosario Dawson is only 19...
(BTW, her 'out tonight' dance is teh hottest thing ever to be emblazoned on the big screen, PG-13 nothwithstanding...damn...I'm glad I don't have the problem of visible arousal, lmao... >.> )
*ahem* also, There are parts where the film (as is the soundtrack and musical, which I've been lucky enough to see the NY cast in) is tragic and sad. and I was definately crying. as was at least half the theater.
It's just a very powerful movie.
If you hate musicals like Evita or can't stand homosexuality of even the most tasteful kind, then skip it, it's above you. but, otherwise:
GO SEE RENT~~expand your mind and stuff. =P
[quote name='sblymnlcrymnl']I passed on
King Kong tonight, and ended up watching
The Aristocrats and
Dodgeball instead. I'm going to see
Jesus is Magic tomorrow.

wow, for a moment i thought you watched "Aristocats", which is rather a different movie, but now I have the song that the kittens sing on the piano stuck in my head ^_^
