Ohio Valley = The World
After watching Jeff's match with 'Taker, I hope he isn't out of WWE due to drugs again - he looked no bigger than Spike Dudley in that match, and was scarily thin compared to how he looked in any other match on that set, or now (as in last week).
I hope not, either. That match with Undertaker is probably my favorite match of all-time, and it made me really get into Jeff Hardy.

Oi... I really hope Jeff has a damn good reason for missing this week's show. With his history of drug problems, missing shows and that very nasty fall he took last week, I could see this going poorly. Especially if he was just in line for an I/C title reign.

All the Jeff Hardy gossip has people's mind focused away from the great news of the day: Lashley is injured and will be out of the ring for a little bit. I, for one, am stoked!
WWE shitting bricks

It would be an understatement to say that WWE is concerned about last night’s RAW rating. With the recently slump that the show has been doing for the past three weeks (scoring consecutive 3.4 cable ratings) there has been a significant amount of pressure on both WWE and the USA Network to bring the numbers up. The concern has grown to serious proportions and is a top priority issue starting at the top of WWE.

To put it in perspective, last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown did a 2.6 broadcast rating, with a 5.1 share on the CW Network. That number was good enough to put the show very close to the number of total viewers that last week’s edition of RAW did. That figure alone scares WWE as RAW is considered to be the top brand which of course airs live. AM RAW on July 21st did a 0.5 cable rating, with a 2.3 share.
This would be the perfect time for TNA to get on a two hour time slot and make their move. IMO
Shoulder - he's been hurt since 'Mania, but it's far worse now, and he may need surgery. Jeff was apparently sent home by WWE. fuck.
Maybe Lashley can get promo lessons while he's out.

And that's worrisome news about Jeff. I hope that by "sent home" they mean he was too awesome to perform on monday.
Maybe Lashley can get promo lessons while he's out.
Or he could come back as a heel with a manager that'll do all the talking for him. That's how it should have been since the beginning.

I hope all is well with Jeff. Let's just hope he's taking a week off to fully recover from that spill he took last week.

At this point, I don't see Lashley coming back silent in the future. But a manager would be nice. They could twist it so that the manager is making him "more intense," or whatever.

..... anyone notice the irony with the second one? ;)

Oh, and myke... your welcome. :D

Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE sent Jeff Hardy home after missing last night's Raw taping. As previously noted, his Summerslam program with Umaga has been dropped. Seems no one wants to face Umaga at Summerslam, not 'Jackass' or Jeff Hardy. It looks like WWE is turning Umaga babyface.

So, at least he's not dead but hopefully he didn't relapse

- edit And Dynamite Kid is still a stupid asshole.

Tom 'Dynamite Kid' Billington comments on Chris Benoit in the tabloid, The Globe: "I feel no sympathy for him. We all knew the dangers. Benoit should have known his limits. We've all been through it, but we didn't take it out on our loved ones. His poor wife and child didn't deserve to die just because Benoit screwed his life up. I'm glad he's dead! I warned Benoit to be careful - the wrong combination could send you over the edge. I'm convinced that's what happened here. He got it wrong, and his wife and son paid the price."

When people see Dynamite they should just piss on him, it's what he deserves.

Just because he "screwed his life up" doesn't mean he has to be so damn bitter. I'm kind of surprised he hasn't committed suicide as well, seeing how he seems to hate living so much.

That wouldn't be too brave - he's a crippled amputee. An asshole, yes, but one who has seemingly paid for his mis-deeds. I also have doubts as to whether or not Dynamite actually said those things, as no one within wrestling has been able to contact him for half a decade.

According to TNA Today the Bar Fight between James Storm vs Rhino at the next PPV is supposed to take place in..... a........

..... real bar.

Now where have I seen this before?

I swear they had one match get dragged into a bar during Summerslam 99.
Jeff Hardy's official website just stated that the WWE is giving Jeff time off to heal from his recent injury relating to RAW last week.
Yep.

Despite earlier reports, Jeff Hardy was not sent home nor did he no-show Monday’s RAW telecast. Jeff Hardy, after falling on his back and neck last Monday, was give time off to heal from the injuries. No word on his return but his official website released the following statement:

Jeff sustained neck and back injuries from his fall on last weeks RAW (7/23/07). They (WWE) are giving him time off to heal.

Hope he's not in too bad of shape. I wonder if he'll be taking time off through Summerslam now to prevent further injury?

Who did Stevie beat this week? I'm hoping it was Thorn again

Uh-huh. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, President Bush and his administration, in addition to right-wing zealots, state that the war in Iraq is going swimmingly.

I don't believe them, either. Being sent home =/= not working in the ring to heal from an injury.

Lashley has got that comedic value to him, in the we're laughing for all the wrong reasons kind of way. I'm somewhat stunned Vince has yet to have him come out in overalls with a big slice of watermelon. I still almost can't believe he had the Mexicools riding out to the ring on freakin' lawn mowers. Nor can I believe Cryme Time is still on the Raw roster, must be Pat Pattersons doing.

I want to believe that... plus Jeff did take one of the nastiest falls I've ever seen this past week. Still, if we've learned anything from wrestling lately, it's wait until all the details come to light.

Personally I think the WWE is trying to cover their asses on this by not having Jeff work after that nasty fall. But as Krang just said its best we wait until we have all the details.

That's some screwed up things that Dynamite Kid said. You'd think he'd be more sympathetic seeing that he was Beniot's idol. However, Beniot turned out to be a murderer so I don't exactly blame him. Could've been a bit more tame, though.

I wanna know what Bubba Ray Dudley said about Benoit. I know he had a lot of bad shit to say about Mike Awesome killing himself. I'm sure his opinion of Benoit would've been a lot worse.

My thoughts on ECW this week:

John Morrison needs help on the mic. I like him in the ring, but he's not doing well in the promo department. Stevie winning again was cool. I hope that eventually they stop with the "fluke" win thing for him and let him wrestle competitively. Big daddy V squash... was what it was.. they are going to try to build him as a monster and to do that he needs some squashes. At least it's enhancement talent rather than Balls or something... Speaking of Balls poor guy jobbed to the Miz... that just sucks. The 3 way was good and really made the show. Punk wins setting he and Morrison up for the title again. I predict Punk lasts the 15 min and gets a rematch at Summerslam. Not a fantastic show by any means. Saved by the 3 way. :)

Yo, Guyver!!

Goldberg's career has ranged from wrestling to tv host to movie star, and if you create the best short video showing highlights of special Goldberg moments from all areas of his professional career, you could win a special Goldberg prize package, including one-of-a-kind autographed items! Just create the best Goldberg highlights video (as judged by Goldberg himself), post it on YouTube, and email the link to Goldberg. It's that easy! In addition to the prize package, the winning video will be posted on the BillGoldberg.com home page! Deadline for entries is August 15, 2007.

Morrison is pretty good on the mike...especially for being in a rushed world title position imo, shaman of sexy

I thought that triple threat was great too- did anyone else notice when punk went "wow, that hurt" after burke elbowed him? i kept rewinding it...;) (don't really know why either)

One last thing, I bet by mid 2008 big daddy v will be main eventing raw (if anything sooner tho)

Yes, that happened. It was the hardcore title match w/ Al Snow & the Big Bossman that got dragged into the bar across the street from the arena.

As for last night's show, I'm pretty much zoned out watching it. The main event was nice, but everything else was crap. So Thorn's now jobbing to Stevie Richards(why does the graphic still say Steven Richards?). Changed the channel when Miz wrestled, the guy is just plain awful.

Something I just noticed in the profiles on SvR 2007. Candice was in the 2004 diva search(the one Christy won)? I don't remember that.

Speaking of Smackdown vs. Raw, Gametrailers.com has a new trailer for SvR 2008. Apparently you can light tables on fire when the new game.

I've been lazy when it comes to uploading stuff from PWG, but in case anyone cared, that makes two PWG workers that John Morrison has beaten in two weeks. First up was Zokre, which you might remember from a Los Luchas tag match against La Resistance in ECW, and last night was Joey "Magnum" Ryan.
