Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 has been announced and includes 12 new characters with updates,balance tweaks,etc

Capcom ain't getting my money for this one. Especially not with everything else coming out in November. Might pick it up when it's $20 or less.

I have no problem dealing with sending in my $28 copy of MvC3 into Amazon and getting $17 to put towards UMvC3. $23 upgrade for me. Sending that bitch in tomorrow. I did the same thing with SFIV when SSFIV was announced.

Perhaps Capcom should've waited a bit longer to show off UMvC3 so people wouldn't be in an uproar, but we all knew this was coming. That's precisely why I waited and bought a used copy of MvC3.

Again, don't want it? Don't buy it. Simple as that. Speak with your wallets, boycott Capcom all day.

In fact, I plead with everyone that's mad at Capcom for milking to go pick up Shadows of the Damned. That game is great and has sold like 24,000 copies. Capcom doesn't need your money, they'll get plenty from suckers like me. :cool:

Pretty happy with the new editions. I skipped over the initial release and have no interest in Shuma/Jill so it looks like a pretty great "deal."

Sell off those DLC codes, I got about $20 back for Mass Effect 2 inferno armor.
 
spectator mode new moves and balance changes are welcome changes, but lame characters like phoenix wright are a disappointment.
 
Think I'm gonna wait for the Mega Special Edition coming out the month after this. jking but I rather wait 2 years and get the "last" edition of MvC3. I regret buying this one day one when they just re-release it with more features months later.

Oh well, I'll just sell this and get MvC3 (the latest one) in 2 years or so.

Capcom doesn't listen to the fans? Frank West and Phoenix Wright are in the top 5 for the most requested characters on the Capcom Unity polls. People wanted those two characters in.
Capcom's new lineup in this game is golden. Yeah, they still need a Megaman and Gene from Godhand, Cammy, but it's a lot better than Marvel's lineup.

The horrible lineup on Marvel's side is all Marvel's doing.

Someone pointed out this fun fact:

DLC characters were $5 a pop (Jill & Shuma, also following the MK pricing) x 15 for the characters $75...

If you want to say they would do $10 for a 3 pack (al la MK) still at $50.....

So yeah fuck DLC I will take this since it's getting a decent amount (new levels, 15 characters, etc) truthfully I would have liked a nice large cheap DLC pack but this is Capcom and that would never happen.

Considering that SSFIV AE went for the same price but only gets 2 unbalanced characters and 2 other new characters it isn't too bad....

Anyone that doesn't know the people on Marvel's roster just aren't big enough fans. They're all great characters, ESPECIALLY ROCKET RACCOON.

Nova also rocks.

Yes, there are many characters missing that should be in the game -- would it hurt for them to put in a few more female fighters? But, it's a nice, varied line-up with a lot more content. No complaints here. I'll be picking it up day 1.

Do you have any info to support that statement? Like Dev's saying "Marvel won't let us use the good characters we want to give you :(" Or are you just assuming this? I know Marvel owns the characters, but that doesn't mean the choice of characters was theirs.

Capcom gave Marvel a list of characters they wanted and Marvel had the final word on which ones made the cut.
 
If Capcom was smart they would have kept stringing me along with the promise of MML3, I might have plopped down some cash on a game like this or RE: Revelations on a whim but now I'm avoiding any new product from Capcom like the plague.

Ok. Sounds collaborative to me. Capcom was stupid enough to leave Megaman, their flagship character out, so they could have just requested these characters as their top picks and gotten what they wanted. And that would make Marvel entirely to blame how?...

No Megaman is absurd to me. It would be like no Ryu or no Wolverine. But other than that i think the characters are fine.
 
I was going to write a novel ranting about all the complaining, but instead I'll just say:

I think it's best to drop the 'collector mentality' when purchasing Fighting games. It's not about having the 'best' version, its about playing the game and having fun.

That said...Clint Barton, welcome to the team!
