Is BB giving the welcome packets in store now? I could have sworn I heard someone mention it a while back. When renewing my @gamer sub today i asked for the packet and he had no idea what i was talking about he even checked memos and called ppl from other stores to double check.
 
Hey will Best Buy do price adjusting? I picked up Prototype 2 with the coupon or 30 and I'd love to get 10 more off it. Sadly I can't find my receipt, but I did print out the receipt from the Reward Zone site and the game is still sealed. Will I have a problem?
 
That's because IATCG has no real social life so he takes it out on anonymous people on the internet, what else does he have to do besides play video games and troll on forums

I think they will do this eventually but for the time being they will get mailed to you after a few weeks (expect to wait awhile though).

I hate to sound like some of the newer newbies, but I came to CAG for cheap games and paying MSRP in cash + a coupon for another MSRP or near MSRP game wasn't my kinda deal. Both clearance AND the MSRP/coupon deals could've co-existed, but apparently not since corporate only gave a set budget and the 2-3 year old titles I'd have never bought for full price but would take a chance on for $5 took a back seat.

While I may have initially wished for him to lose his job, I do hope he was able to get another one if he was laid off completely from SHC and I have heard that he is still working for them but just not in the same position.
 
For you to wish someone loses their job is messed up, especially in these hard times and tough economy. But all over video game stuff? That you didn't get? Grow up.
 
So was just enjoying a battlefield 3 multiplayer game and the game froze my ps3...is this normal? Are you guys having the same issues? I played 3 games no problems last night, and now this, wtf ?

Did this search on Google:"battlefield 3 froze ps3 2012" and there are a number of topics on it. Must be annoying.:whistle2:# I remember when I used to go in the Lockwood store on PS Home and it used to freeze, causing me to have to reboot!:bomb:

I assume hard resets are gone on the slim since the only way to do a reset is to press the power button, and it doesn't have the power switch in the back like the fatty did. I just went ahead and pressed the power button, and as always ps3 did a beep and turned off. I'll take a break for a while, and will try to play again today. As I said I played 3 BF3 multiplayer games last night with 0 issues, so I found that kinda weird.

I said initially, but after a while I didn't want him losing his job. Again though, from what I've heard he is still with SHC but just not in the gaming department or heading it.

So then that means I intentionally damaged my PS3 10x or more by playing online co-op with three other people on Dead Island. Just fuckin' great. THIS is exactly why I refuse to buy many new games at MSRP anymore, since some companies release a buggy as shit game and then patch it till Doomsday.

Don't get me wrong. I don't think I had any issues when playing the single player, but the mp for that game is a buggy pos that they gave up trying to fix after a while.

FYI: When I start getting freezing issues on my PS3, I do either restore file system or rebuild database and that solves any freezing issues for a while.

You can do that from the safe mode menu on the PS3. Here's a link to a FAQ telling you how to get there.

Shifting topics back to coupons... What are folks using their $10 off used coupon? The selection at my two local BBs is pretty sparse. I really don't know if I will take advantage of that coupon this month, especially with GS's $10 off coke code, at least their selection is better (already snagged a Madden 13 and GR:Future Soldier).

I thought this too, but the day after I bought a slim last fall Arkham Asylum froze on bootup after I watched its behind the scenes videos in the xmb section, the button wouldn't reset the system so I was forced to pull the plug due the lack of power switch on the back.

I got one of those system check errors when I powered it back on.
