We should take GGT#50 AND PUSH IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Yeah, the DS Yoshi's Island sequel was a huge let down. Just crappy level designs, playing across bot screens sucked due to the gap in the middle etc.
Yoshi's Island was my first mario game.
Super Mario World was the first video game I ever played.

Bunch of young'un's in here. First games I played where pac-man, popeye and some others on the Atari 5200.

Really got sucked into gaming with the original SMB on the NES though.

My uncle's Colecovision is what I started with.

But getting my own NES was that magic moment. Played the few games I had to death. Mario/Duck Hunt, Final Fantasy, Robocop, Quantum Fighter, Q-Bert, Muppets.....

My brother wouldn't let me play his 2600 most of the time, so I didn't let him play my Vectrex. We each got an NES and some games for Christmas, so we didn't have to fight over that. ^_^

I had ROB though, so I was cooler.

I remember playing my uncle's home version of Pong (the one they sold from sears). I somehow managed to convince my parents to get me a Sears-branded version of the 2600 not too long before the home video game market crashed. I had a few of the Activision games like Enduro (my fave), Pitfall (awesome), and Laser Blast. I would send in photos of my hi scores in order to get the badges by mail (was that the first home console version of Trophies and Achievements?). My aunt got me ET and Indiana Jones. At first I was excited, then I played them. :p I actually played the shit out of those games, not because they were any good, but because I didn't want to make my Aunt feel bad.

My first 8-bit gaming was the Apple II. :p Copying games to my 5" floppy and sneaking it into the computer lab at school.

Wow you guys are making me sound really young  but I'm not THAT young. SNES was my first console and my parents got me the one that came with Super Mario World for Christmas when I was five. I remember dieing so many times in that game because I had no clue how to play games.

Honestly, Yoshi's Island might have been my first game ever, too. The first consoles we had in the house were the Genesis and the SNES, and Yoshi's Island was our only SNES game for a while, so must have been either that or something on the Genesis. But fuck if I remember.

My first console was the NES, so I'm guessing my first game was probably the original Super Mario Bros. Or at least that's the first game I remember playing a lot of.

First game owned was Mario/Duck Hunt. First one played was probably an arcade Donkey Kong, Mr. Do, Pac Man or Dig Dug.

My parents couldn't afford to get me the duck hunt set, but I was so happy when I first got the regular NES w/Mario pack-in. I played the shit out of Mario, but I needed Nintendo Power to get the world warp, 99 lives trick, etc or I would've never finished that damn game.

Come to think of it, I never did get the light gun even though I loved Duck Hunt and Hogan's Alley.

I would just play the light gun stuff at the store.

That's better.

While I know there was an Atari 2600 around, I don't know that I ever tried it prior to getting a NES with SMB around the age of 5.

what. the. fuck. hastings?
why has my order not shipped yet?!

My first console game was Adventure on my Aunt and Uncle's 2600.

First game was Vortex Raider on the C64, I played it again a few days ago on an Emulator.

I is old.

My first full home console was the 2600. but before that, I had a Boxing Game + Watch, a Pac-man mini-arcade thing, and I had played arcades and maybe some Apple II-e games.

But NES was the first really good console.

I always knew the 2600 kinda sucked. River Raid was pretty tight...still playable to this day actually. Pitfall 2 is my favorite 2600 game ever though. It was one of the few "realistic" adventure games that didn't have graphics abstracted beyond comprehension (try playing Temple of Doom...wtffffffff.) It also had a soundtrack that changed depending on what you did...like actual music with a melody, bassline, and drums, instead of random synthesizer farts. It also had a relatively large world to explore on your own. The game had a sense of scale, where 99% of the system's library had these strange ass games that seemed to have no logic. It also had pretty responsive controls and good platforming for the time.

but as good as it was, SMB just did everything it did a million times better, which is why game history pretty much starts with it and everything before is like "meh"

They pull stock from individual stores...maybe they are still waiting on certain items?

I dunno.

I just don't like this status... considering I never got a shipping confirmation, it's odd.

Order Status:
In Progress via Standard Shipping

My first console was a genesis with sonic 2.

Before my uncle went to grad school though, we would bomb on his NES that was at our grandparents house

Gameboy was my first owned console, my dad pretty much gave me his old SNES and Genesis but my first home console that was bought just for me was the N64.

I started Costume Quest, and I'm annoyed already. I've spent over an hour trying to find the last piece of the Liberty costume.

I believe it's in the sewer on the top right side of the map. Use the "password" to get in and the knight to go under the water. It's in the back room hidden by the view, I think.

At least I think that's where the last piece was... the first two are over on the access ramp to go behind the houses, I think.

Umm...it shouldn't be that hard. From what I remember, 2 of them are past the Lincoln guarding a ramp, and the other is in the sewer.

Edit: Beaten to it.
Just got a invite to the beta for the Playstation rewards program. I expect to be severely disappointed...
Me too. I guess GAP + PSN+ = Disappointment?

Nah, don't be so cynical Rei. I wasn't even expecting something like this, so it's nice that Sorny is trying at least. I'm down with it as long as I don't have to pay extra just for that.

You too? Pimp.

So no one tried the demo? I thought it was ok. It's no Quantum Theory, but I'd consider getting it later when it's cheap. The enemies remind me of Nier though.

Oh, I did, it was alright, but there's no way in hell I'd buy it for $60.

Yeah, that goes without saying...for pretty much every game. That's why we're all here! ^_^

Playing Enslaved right now. It's actually quite good. The camera can be dodgy, the way it kind of forces you into specific perspectives in the environmental puzzles, but so far it hasn't frustrated me yet. The presentation is really great. That chick may be a Nariko ripoff, but she's a hot Nariko ripoff. And the mo-cap is really well done, right down to how the eyes track what they are looking at.

Keiji Inafune leaving Capcom is a bit of a surprise. I hope he has new goals to reach.

My first game was on an old black and white mac with a screen almost as big as an original gameboy screen... >_

No.

There's four of them. Once they're dead, they should stay dead.
