People had 5 years to buy Gamecube titles. If they have to wait for t he system to be retired before actually deciding to buy them, of course no one is going to find them in stores.
Not true. For the previous gen cycle, N64, PS1, and Dreamcast games were around for years after their systems died off. Heck, I didn't get my Dreamcast until 2005 and I was still able to find games for it at EB Games and Game Crazy even then.
The difference this time is that all three consoles are backwards compatible. There are a ton of people with Wiis who didn't have GameCubes, and odds are they'll want to catch some of the blockbuster titles they missed out on.
Mario Power Tennis isn't difficult to find used at Gamestops around here. In fact I bought a complete copy of it the other day from one. Unfortunately the case proved to be in worse shape than I was expecting - a puncture was covered by a sticker and the disc looks pretty scratch, but the game plays fine and the manual is in good shape. I wish I'd been more careful about inspecting the box, but I'm still happy, especially since I paid for it with store credit made from Sears-To-GS flips that reduced the actual cost to about 1/3 of the sticker price. Another GS had two copies (both complete). In fact I've seen complete copies of the game at every Gamestop I've been to recently, which is 5 or 6 of them. So check your local GS's.
It isn't hard to find, but it's still expensive and probably will be until the inevitable Wii version of Mario Tennis comes out.
