I've grabbed Sonic CD, Blazing Angels and Conan, still considering some others but trying to hold off, I know I won't play anything else I end up buying... maybe Dark Void though.
DO NOT BUY NEXUIS

bad twitch shooter that was released dring the house party promotion. I only got it because it was effectively free since i was going to buy the other 3 games. And i still felt ripped off .

I cannot recommend the game either. Even if you like the gameplay, there are several issues with the game that make it frustrating. When I played the week of release, when the most players were likely to be around, matchmaking took a really long time. Finding and getting into a match took at least as long as the match itself. That's no fun. The game also didn't seem to add players midmatch. So when you're playing 3 on 3 and one guy quits because he doesn't like the map selection, and then another guy leaves because he doesn't want to play outmatched, you're left with three guys running around the map hunting one guy on the other team.

I co-sign all those issues. You are right that no one can be replaced mid-match. Also it didn't even support 4 v 4 at lanch. 3 v 3 was the max. No idea if they patched that, but i imagine the community is only smaller now regardless. Not a good game.
Before I could even find the game correctly spelled on meta critic it seems the CAG's have spoken. Thanks everyone. Not that big a solely multiplayer based gamer, but having all these opinions definitely means for me to stay the hell back.

I'm finding Prince of Persia to be pretty fun
I'm finding Prince of Persia to be pretty fun
I would've grabbed it if it was the other PoP, as I never finished that one. I owned and beat this newer one that's included in the sale. I agree though, it's an enjoyable game and definitely worth the $5. I'd say it's probably the best game on the list and the only must buy outta all of them.

Trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on Tornado Outbreak. I was pretty interested after seeing that Forgotten Video Games video a few pages back, but with no demo to try & no raves on this game in this forum, I may pass.

Anybody have a strong opinion on Tornado Outbreak, good or bad?

In for Worms 2,Worms is one of my favorite series and i always miss it when its on sale.Might also get Gotham City Imposter is the community still active?

I also wonder this. although I need points, only have $1 of points right now and gotta be hopeful that someone trades some points with me for my stuff. totally in for Worms and GCI if I get $15 though

I've been playing Tornado Outbreak the past couple days on and off and it's a decent little title. If you enjoy any of the Katamari games, you'll probably like this as well. While they are different, they're quite similar in the sense that you suck things up and get better. I wouldn't pay $20 for it, but for $5, it is a good pick up and play title for an hour here or there. The later levels do get a little frustrating because it feels like you don't quite have enough time to meet the requirements to pass, but it's a small complaint. Plus, if you like achievements, most of them can be gotten with little effort. I'm 3 away myself from 1k, although 2 of them could be a bit of a pain (not impossible, just need a little perseverance).

As for myself, I'm debating on Blazing Angels. I would debate on Facebreaker as it appears to be a poor man's Ready 2 Rumble Boxing, but the online achievements being impossible to get now makes me want to not get it.
Hopefully you will miss those too.
Oh, go back to you basement dwelling, mouth-breather.

I paid full price for Gotham City Imposters at release and have no regrets whatsoever. It's an extremely fun game if you like team shooters. The only issue I have is that it's limited to 6 players on a team. It'd be great if they expanded that out to 8 so all of my friends could play instead of turning away anyone after the 6th player.

If anyone is on the fence about Gotham City Imposters I strongly recommend it. I was in the beta and enjoyed it so much that I picked it up on release date. I didn't get back into it about a month ago, though, and it is hella fun. Community is still very active and I never have any issues getting into a match. Out of all the matches I played I never have to deal with campers or any of the other bullcrap that I usually run into in other online shooters.

I hope that list is true because a sale on the game would most likely bring some more people to the game that I can shoot in the face a little easier than the high level guys :D

I would also pick up X-Men Arcade and maybe Shoot Many Robots.

Pretty good game. It's worth it for $5. Kinda plays like a Katamari Damacy game. It's unique and you won't find much like it out there. I'd grab it before its too late.

You both convinced me to snag Tornado Outbreak as I was in the same boat. The easy achievements make it a no-brainer too. Thanks for helping me spend an extra 400 msp.

I ended up getting Bolt, Tornado Outbreak and Sonic Cd this week. Good week

I can't buy games from the PC any more because Xbox.com says it doesn't recognize my computer (which I got 2 months ago). The verification emails it sends will ONLY go to the defunct, non-operational email address my Live account was created with. They don't send them to my actual working email that is also attached to the account for billing, etc. Anyone else having this problem?

The same happened to me yesterday. Luckily I have control of the email address though. It sends them to an email I setup for password recovery, not my main address which is what I'd prefer.

If you can get into https://account.live.com/Proofs/Manage you can change your email addresses there.

I have this problem as well, but I get codes sent through to my phone. It is annoying though, and it seems it's somewhat of a common problem recently when I tried googling it not too long ago.

Sigh. I did update my email through that link, but the confirmation email still only goes to the dead addy. It doesn't give the option of sending it to my phone either, even though my phone number has long been on the account.

Same here can't log onto billing for a month it says it doesn't recognize my computer I use the code it sends me email and it just freezes. :bouncy:

Looking forward to the next sale. Finally made my purchases for this week. Went ahead and got Sonic Adventure DX upgrade, Sonic CD, Conan, Kameo, and Tornado Outbreak. Thought about Bolt, Open Season and Surf's Up, but unlike other kiddie games I've played, I'm not a huge fan of those movies so I imagine the game wouldn't keep my interest.
http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/P...Specials/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8024d530a02Microsoft is going to release some sort of Sales app, which shows up on the marketplace and on the console with a search even though you can't download it yet:
"Download the free Sales & Specials+ App and get great discounts on Xbox LIVE content. Try your luck at Scratch & Match to get a great offer every week or get great discounts on the Chain Offers that change every month."
Ugh, created by Wahoo (aka NinjaBee)? Should prove to be a confusing app with bad design choices & horrible art ... can not (not) wait. :(

Hmm...I wonder why it was extended. Oh well, works out great for me, now I can definitely see what's gonna be on sale for the next 2 weeks, and if it's nothing I need, I'll buy a bunch of the GoD games.

Kefling games are awesome. Have no idea about what else they make.
Kefling games are awesome. Have no idea about what else they make.
Wahoo also made Fusion: Sentient, one of the very worst Xbox Live games on Windows Phone. Plus they steadfastly refuse to answer any and all emails regardless of which staff member you're emailing (tried 'em all). So despite enjoying Cloning Clyde and Keflings, I hate them.

Didn't know that Wahoo Studios is the parent company of Ninjabee. Wahoo does the contractual/port/app work and Ninjabee makes the original games. Outpost Kaloki X was the first Ninjabee game while Wahoo's done stuff like the XS Junior League games on PS1 and Family Game Night 4.

I don't see why that would say anything about the quality of the app, as Microsoft's responsible for making sure it's what they want. I'd hope that it's better supported than that crappy XBLA database app that MS pulled a month or so after they released it.

alright, bought Conan, Dark Void, and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.

love, love, love Conan! Haven't even had a chance to touch the other two yet but had favorable impressions of the Dark Void demo. And I have a feeling that PoP will be very good if past history is a good thing (as well as good reviews).

with the extended date, maybe I'll check out the others.

Deal of the Week for tomorrow also includes Ms. Splosion Man for 400msp.
I only want Trine 2, but I think gonna wait for the complete version on the WiiU.

i was going to buy that tornado game but i cant get it as i live in australia and it is region locked when i try get it on american account.
so i got conan and kameo instead.
weird how they work out pont conversion as it costs the us 400 msp but it costs aus 480 msp and the price is $4.99 us to $7.99 aus.

hopefully i can get trine 2 as it looks good.
Are the Marvel: Avengers Chronicles Pinball FX tables free, or is this just like the base game where you buy the tables one at a time? About to download...

Edit: May just be the trial, and not listed as such.

http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/P...2-4a50-b5a0-6a36f31bb851?cid=SLink&noSplash=1
Each Pinball FX table has a free trial you can play for a minute or two before it stops keeping score and you have to buy it or quit.

You still play it through the Pinball FX 2 "hub."

The ONLY downloadable shooter worth buying/playing in XBLA history is BF 1943. We'll see if the new version of Counterstrike changes that in late August.
ditto. Looks like castle crashers but with guns and robots
CC is miles better. Shoot Many Robots is ok, but extremely repetitive - every new level looks almost exactly like previous one, not enough varied enemies and bosses (from what i remember you fight two types bosses over and over again). :/

Actually the "Destination Arcade" app was an intern-designed app to see if they could automatically scrape the Marketplace from the client, to show users how many games could be had for 400msp, as well as other tests like rewarding users for discovering features (avatar pet) and a minor sale if you could find it (Boogie Bunnies for 500msp). It was never intended to replace the Marketplace, just see what could be done, and how people used the information it gave back.

And yes, I can definitely slam NinjaBee, since it took them a year to create "Dash of Destruction". A year!

hopefully because sales have been amazing.

got Sonic CD because why not? i have the other sonic games on xbox live and for 2 dollars why not. this game i havent played except once on the GC compilation so maybe ill achievement whore it and love the game. or itll sit there on my harddrive for all eternity taunting me.

EDIT:

honestly if xbox live can keep up this 5 dollar or less game sales ill have no problem getting them over physical copies.

When they first went on Games On Demand, US$4.99 was AU$7.99. ;)
Nexuiz for 200 points? Don't mind if I do.
Yeah I grabbed that incase its a mis-price. Thought Trine 2 was going to be 400, not sure about it now.

Glad I waited till this morning to pick up Tornado Outbreak. Since the GoD sale is extended till the 2nd, I'll wait to hear what the XBL reward for July is till I buy. I'll get Nexius cause 200msp sounds about right even though I've heard absoultely NOTHING positive about that game. I've bought worse for more(Battle for LA).

I really hope Ms. Splosion Man gets the discount too. Not showing up yet as being discounted and I missed it last time it was on sale
