So I guess the COD stuff will provide a benefit to the COD Endowment fund. So if you are on the fence and want to prove something (not sure the %) to our troops this is the time to buy.
alright, this might sound stupid... but for the scratch and win thing, are you supposed to scratch the entire screen? or just a row or column?
As long as you scratch enough to display the full picture grid, the screen will automatically wipe away the rest.
Walking Dead is 400MSP (as usual). It was displayed on the Sales & Specials tile as its in the 400 'points or less section'. Nothing more unfortunately.
I found the xbox originals on xbldb. I don't think MS has them listed where I can find them easily so they seem out of date: http://xbldb.com/games/000-689
MS had them listed as "Xbox Back Compat" for a while and I could track them.
I think I am just going to break down and add Originals and indies to xbldb. This will be more scanning but I think it will be worth it. I may have to have a fundraiser for better hardware if it is too slow.
Whoever posted the Quick Look for Spelunky, thanks for sharing. Watching the first 30 minutes should help you make your decision about the game. Keep in mind that where the guy is now (Mines/Jungle levels) is probably as far as most people are going to make it in the game.
Spelunky is very hard. I'm really enjoying it though. Ive yet to get past the second world(jungle). You basically gotta die 50 times for each level before you learn what everything does. Now when I finally passed world one, tunnel man asked for a bomb donation for a shorcut. I gave it to him but still can't use shortcuts. :/

You have to give him 3 donations, i.e. you have to beat each world 3 times. They are:
To Open Jungle World:
1 Bomb
1 Rope
10,000 Gold
To Open Ice World:
2 Bombs
2 Ropes
1 Shotgun
I have no idea how to get a shotgun. That's where I gave up. Anybody have good strategies for this, please PM me or just post it
You can get the shotgun from a crate, by buying it or simply by killing a Shopkeeper and carrying it to the finish. That's not too hard.
To open the last shortcut is a lot harder:
3 bombs, 3 ropes and then the gold key from the Mines. Yes, you need to carry the key from the Mines, to the end of Ice World. Talk about a challenge.
Shotgun drops are pretty rare from crates and are even pretty rare when they show up in stores, and even then they cost $20,000. Successfully killing a shopkeeper is like 1 in 50 for me. Any hints on how to kill them?
And seeing what's behind your next spoiler, I certainly won't bother even trying this one. Maybe they'll patch in a "Wimp" difficulty for players that just want to actually experience the game. Or maybe there are infinite lives codes built into the game. I would love to experience the game, but it's far too frustrating to actually do that.
All those drops and not even $5 off Crysis? I guess I have no choice and will buy it on PSN for $10. Cannot understand why one is getting a sale and not the other.
So the Walking Dead that was on Sales and Specials last night has disappeared, but still gives me hope it'll be on sale sometime soon though.
the episodes are 400 points each, selling well, and new
why not skip your big mac and fries lunch for 2 days and buy it now rather than hoping? trust me it's worth it
All those drops and not even $5 off Crysis? I guess I have no choice and will buy it on PSN for $10. Cannot understand why one is getting a sale and not the other.
i would like crysis for xbox 360 too. i liked crysis 2 but crsis 1 has to be $10 for me to buy it.
I'm interested in some zombie blackops action. I assume Rezzurection would be the pack to get? I don't play conventional blackops multiplayer, but I did notice the other packs included a zombie map as well. Not worth it?

rezzurection and the second map pack (The one with Call of Da Dead) are honestly the only one's to get. The first with Ascension is fun so if you have 1800 MSP get all 3. the 3rd map pack with SHangrila (Worst Zombies Map EVER!!!!)
Any opinions on Defenders of Ardania?
Is 800MSP a permanent drop or a sale?
I'd bet money it's a permanent price drop. It got some pretty rough reviews, was overpriced to begin with, and came out very near the (apparently) far better Anomaly: Warzone Earth which was 400 points cheaper.
It is the beginning of the month so I think those are price drops not sales.
The sales are gold exclusive and the new "weekly" Kinect sale, this week is a Dance Central song, and Army of Two.
Yeah, I'd think these are all price drops too, except for the one's Spylon mentioned.
For what it's worth, I thought TFD was better DESIGNED than the first game (Co-op snipe countdown just happening rather than being a separate mode, looks nicer all around.) but the story and levels and balancing were off.
Yes, just got a Spelunky code from CAG user a bit cheaper.

First game has similar problems. Maybe will get it at some point. At the moment my games backlog is huge lol.
Is the MW3 collection #1 the only dlc out of the two where the dlc maps can be used for surivial mode? That and the occasional multiplayer are all I play on MW3.
Uh...Skullgirls is showing up in the 800 points or less category on the dashboard. I already bought it so I can't tell if it's really that price or not.

Still 1200 on xbox.com. Hopefully it's indicative of a price drop in the near future.
Just to pile on to the random sales and price drops that are being mentioned in this thread, the "Sales and Specials" portion of xbox.com says that Hitman: Blood Money is 50% off.
Check it out on YouTube and pc first. I imagine it's not for everyone. 1200msp is a bit high also. Although there seems to be a few codes on cag floating around near the 800msp point.

Ugh...when will that new Rock Band game come out!?!?!?!?
Considering the CoD MW3 stuff, but not sure I'll use them enough to justify the $15 when I can just buy Spelunky instead. Never been big on rougelikes, but that game does look fun.

Probably not until late August at the earliest due to Summer of Arcade. This is the point where if it's not announced to come out within the next week or so, it's not coming out for a while.
