Two track packs are on sale for DJ Hero and DJ Hero 2. Both for 320 points each. The Dance Party Mix Pack for DJ Hero and the Ultra Mix Pack for DJ Hero 2. I'm loving these random drops on the DLC. Just a few more mix packs and I have them all.

i don't see hitman on my dash, but i saw army of two TFD is $5 off for one day only (WTF?) so they suckered me into it. i know it costs half that in stores but GOD is so convenient especially for me since 1) i move alot (against my will but whatever) and 2) i play a lot of games for 15 minutes...play this for a bit, switch to something else, switch to another game 20 minutes later. so i'll just avoid on disc games sometimes because it just seems silly to switch discs when i have 80 games on the HD i can pick from without doing that
Blood Money sale is up.
Hitman: Blood Money - 1200 ($15.00) Microsoft Points - 50% off - xbldb
I never played any hitmans before and this price is reasonable compared to trying to find one in stores and online. Is this worth it? I'll also have to watch some video reviews
No joke, Hitman Blood Money is one of the best games ever made.
I have actually never played Blood Money but I did enjoy the original Hitman games. Has it aged well? From reading all the positive reviews I might pick that up and wait till Spelunky hits 800 points.
Probably not until late August at the earliest due to Summer of Arcade. This is the point where if it's not announced to come out within the next week or so, it's not coming out for a while.
Not necessarily. Other games have released during promotions.

Wait Spelunky ISN'T 800 points? They're seriously launching it at 1200? Wow.

And yes, it has aged marvelously. Hell, it CAME OUT this generation. About the only games this generation that can be said to have aged at all are Gun and Rumble Roses XX (Gun well. RRXX not so much. Maybe PDZ too...)

Blood Money renders other Hitman games practically obsolete. It's just such a well-designed, open-ended game. Might be better on PC though, maybe.

Gun and PDZ haven't aged well, at all. Not if you've played any 3rd-person action/1st-person shooters of recent memory.

Usually not during Summer of Arcade. The only thing I can find is Fable II Pub Games, which was a free game to promote Fable II.

Blood Money is the only one I've played. It's lots of fun and a good amount of replayability if you want to figure out multiple ways to do things and get high ranks.

I played it on PC when it was first released and bought it again for Xbox 360 about 6 months ago, I liked it just as much as when it first launched.
I would seriously think about Hitman (currently going for around $30 used on Amazon) if it wasn't for the Hitman HD Collection rumors that have been swirling around. It's far from confirmed but usually these rumors turn out to be correct...
Shit, now you're making me second guess myself. I've been on the hunt for a cheap copy of Blood Money for ages, but all I ever see are generic Gamestop cased ones.

I may bite seeing as technically it's already an HD copy and I'm a big fan of the Hitman series, so I'm sure I wouldn't mind playing through the game a few times.

1600 would've been too much, but 1200 is cheaper than I've ever seen it.

I never finished hitman game disc I had stopped at the new orleans stage :(
Kept hearing a lot of good things about SOTD can't go wrong for $20

PDZ aged terribly but I still think Gun is a lot of fun.

It seems absurd to me to make an HD remake of a game released THIS GENERATION
Honestly, you'd be better off buying THPS2X for Xbox 1 than this new rehash for 360.

Only costs $0.01 for a copy:

Have you played the new one? it seems unlikely that THPS2X has HD visuals, online play, Achievements, or the other nice features of the new one. It does have that split-screen though, if that's your main thing.
I will not support them. There will be more dlc for sure.
I agree sadly. I've been waiting for this game forever, and now to see them milking pisses me off. I don't know why I'm surprised, being activision and all.

Seems like levels from arcade games are also being cut, just like full retail games and being made for dlc. A few weeks after THPSHD releases, there will be a $5 dlc that includes levels from THPS3 and revert.

Phew, I was actually considering giving Activision money for a minute. Well, if they're back to their old tricks, I'll just go back to never playing their games. Thanks for saving me $15.

Wow. Thanks for that. I was going to try and get it day 1, but I'll just wait for the sale in December.

Bought Hitman Blood Money. Never played a Hitman game before, so for $15, I figured better than $60 when the new one comes out. And if I dig it, hopefully by the time I want to play the new one it will be on the cheap.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD was announced as only having select levels from the first two games. How did you interpret adding levels and the revert mechanic from the third Tony Hawk as cutting content to be sold as DLC?

I suppose part of that may be my fault for not looking up what was announced in the base game, but DLC is DLC. And if it's announced before the game's release, then yeah, it's pretty much cut content.

I've been on the fence about SOTD for a long while. I've almost pulled the trigger on it a few times, I've just always questioned if it'll be the kind of game I'll play more than once.

I think that this is more a PR issue that game companies have not quite caught onto yet. People are obviously still going to buy this and the DLC but I think the annoucing before release just give the perception to many people that the content was cut from the original game. Most likely the game was done and certified awhile ago and been on the shelf for the SOA promotion. This DLC is something they worked on in the interim period but the announcement before the game releases just seem fishy to some people. Personally I would never mention DLC until after the game releases for most games. Some we have come to expect there to be DLC for but a game like this just does not benefit from the early announcement. It is a $20 game and not a $15 game as it stands in many people's eyes. I do not fault anyone who feels like they are not being delivered a finished product but I can logically see how this DLC could have been developed after the original concept. Best thing you can do about DLC is vote with you wallet from the very beginning and not buy the game at all.

I rented SOTD from GameFly and played through it. I thought the game was pretty good and I was glad that I played through it but after the end credits rolled I had no desire to play through it again.

Whoa, Spelunky is insanely good game. This and Trials Evo so far are easily the best XBLA games this year imo. Replay value with these randomly-generated levels is through the roof. Played 3hrs straight today and if wasn't come the time for work i probably would keep playing. :)
Did i mention how polished is this game and how smooth are the controls?
Managed to finish ice caves and died in beginning of the Temple.

Anyone saw the achievement list? Man, some of these are impossible for me (Complete the game under 8 minutes, ''Complete the game without collecting any treasure'', ''Kill 12 shopkeepers'' - these dudes are mad as hell, always someone waiting for me at the exit. :0).

EDGE review - http://m.edge-online.com/reviews/spelunky-review

The only game I can recall where the developer/publisher purposely cut content was Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. They cut the online co-op mode just make it out in time for Summer of Arcade, so they screwed their customers out of a finished game on all of their platforms for the added sales boost on XBLA. It took them two months to finally finish the game and then everybody else got their finished game another month after that.

The dashboard deals claims hitman is $15 *today only*

Also, I doubt those collections will hit the XBox but I could be wrong.

I'm glad SOTD dropped to $20, but that's the new MSRP as of a week ago. It takes a week + for some deals to go to MSRP for GoD, and that's my biggest beef with GoD.

Oblivion for example was $30 for like forever, same with Fallout 3 till about a week ago.

I believe Mortal Kombat is still $50 despite it dropping to $20 this week as well.

Many other games to.
Go so I got the Last Black Ops DLC pack and I have 1200 points left. What other Black Ops DLC packs are good to get?
If you actually play the multiplayer, I think the 3rd map pack is the best for those levels. It has the golf course and drive-in, both pretty good levels. If zombies are more your thing, the 2rd one is best. It comes with Call of the Dead, which is arguably the best zombie map of all of them.

Alright thanks for the info. I got BLOPs DLC Packs 2-4. Probably get 1 off of Gamestop or Best Buy before next week so I wont have to pay $15 later on.

I went on to DL the trial of Spelunky after seeing things on it but didn't even bother once I saw it was 1200 points. Am I alone in having assumed a game like that was surely going to be 800?

Maybe it was the recent flap with the pricing of Fez. I don't know but I did not expect 1200 from what I saw of Spelunky.
