I will picked up Bejeweled Blitz for 200. I hope they have some other good games for sale. I already have Peggle and PvZ. PvZ is a really fun game and worth it at 800 points.

Im hoping for feeding frenzy 2. My son almost had me convinced last night to buy it for him. I just wouldnt do it at 800 but 400 is a totaly diferent story.

If the blitz game is really 75% i will buy!!!

Hoping for Gyromancer, it's Pop Cap and Square Enix so, you never know. I'm a sucker for these Puzzle Quest-type games.
Ill get bejewled blitz. I think the only popcap game I don't own is that and Feeding Frenzy 2 which I don't think I'd ever buy unless it was 200 points or less.
DUDE, bejewled b live, for 200! Consider it bought. I love 75 off games and was hoping for more large discounts in DOTW like the comic game a few months ago, it was like 90% off or something. awesome! I do own like everyother pop cap game as they all have been on sale and i have bought them, all except feeding frenzy 2-200 pts is the price I would pay for it as well. Great minds think alike!:D

I think Gyromancer was just on sale like a month or so ago, or it could have been gyro2 if there is such a title> Not sure if I am totally correct, but I remember downloading a trial of Gryo 1 or 2 during the sale. I hope it is included so you get the chance to buy. :)

Well MS lost a sale on Plants vs. Zombies from me as I had waited for it to be on sale and I got it on PS3 last week since there's no online modes.
do you think it's better to buy PvZ retail game or to get it on sale?
It depends what the sale prices are. The retail collection includes Plants vs Zombies (1200 MSP), Peggle (800 MSP), and Zuma (400 MSP). If all the games in the collection are on sale for 50% off they should be 1200 MSP or $15.
The cheapest I've seen the retail disc is $17 on Amazon.

Is there any difference between the disc version and the downloadable version of PvZ? As in extra content exclusive to one or the other a la Portal vs. the Orange Box. I already own the other games on the disc otherwise I would have probably bought it a while ago.

Nope. It's the exact same game as on XBLA. Same goes for all the other Popcap disc collections.

So looks like they'll end up being the same price as you'd get from purchasing a retail disc (at least for Peggle Arcade vol1 and vol2). As for PvZ, 600MSP would be a pretty nice deal.

Thanks, I wanted to be sure. I skipped the Portal sale in December when it was 400 points because I already had the Orange Box only to find out the XBLA version offers more content.

Untrue. KMart had it for $10 after gaming coupon at release. Unfortunately, myself and like 3 other CAGs bought it. Future releases like this will then be without coupons. Ah well.
I'm pretty sure Metal Slug 3 went on sale once.

And I don't think they ever patched that Modern Warfare 2 glitch that let you play the full versions of some SNK XBLA demos, lol.
I had thought the glitch/exploit no longer worked when the dashboard changed from the grey ad-showoff version to the white ad-showoff with more cumbersome navigation. I did get it to work before, but not since that update. However, I still have yet to see a SNK sale (maybe Metal Slug 3 did drop once).

I am quite pleased with the recent sale, even though it offered nothing for me. It demonstrated the sales were trying to cover a larger base of players, from rhythm to racing while offering both DLC and arcade games. However, it does disappoint me that the Kinect DLC is the Gold Member exclusive sale, meaning I feel the membership is of less value than I had hoped for the membership's price .

Next week's rumored sale, while in part what I expected with Popcap games (I expected Risk: Factions, Monkey Island, *Peggle*, Sonic, Deadliest Warrior, Braid, and Street Fighter 2' Hyper Fighting ... not saying anything about their quality, just what I expected), I am quite surprised Bejeweled Blitz would be marked down to just 200MSP, if the rumors are true. I will have to jump on that because of its price and newness :applause:.

At least having some arcade games or any content of interest on sale does ease the wait and assists my willpower. I still await a magical sale some day/week with SNK titles, Pinball FX 2 tables, Hard Corps Uprising, Stacking, Soul Calibur, Omega Five, Lumines Live DLC (Booster, Tokyo Club). Point is, there's so much content, new and old, a CAG could desire. I hope a new streak just began trying to have deals appeal to multiple types of gamers.

Although the old trend was, at least we'd get advance notice of deals for a whole month, then a week of silence for a 'surprise unknown' weekly deal. We are sorta overdue for the month of advance notice on DOTW.
Seems Major Nelson has confirmed that Popcap games will be the deal of the week, though no word on which games.
As excited as I am to read that I really hope that they do another week of double deals. I'm obviously going to pick up at least Bejeweled Blitz like everyone else and possibly PvZ and other good stuff but I really like seeing the 2nd offering each week when they have done so in the past. Race week saved last week from being another total bummer for me and a second offering could make this week go from really good to fucking amazing.
Are either of the NFS: HP packs on sale worth snagging? I don't have NFS:HP yet but it's on my hit list when I can snag it for

I don't know about the packs, but I know Hot Pursuit just got way too difficult about midway through the single-player campaign, so I ended up trading it in.

Might get that new Bejewled if it goes on sale. Hoping for something decent this week.

Either way, i cant WAIT for Half Minute Hero next week @_@. I rarely ever get hyped over digital releases.

Finally a DOTW that does not suck. Too bad I already own most decent Popcap games. I have the PvZ disc and the live arcade disc and bought Peggle Nights during the last sale. Not sure there is anything left worth picking up for me.
Does anyone know if Outland has been on sale yet? I wanna pick that up but I have a big enough backlog of games that I can wait on it.
It has not. Too new!

That game has barely been out for a full month and only came out last week on PSN after the outage. I Doubt it'll be on sale within that short a time frame.

Oh. For some reason I thought it was out longer. Eh. I'll wait around for a sale while I finish up the backlog.

Agreed....Half Minute Hero is gonna be AWESOME! I really hope there is no delay! Day 1 purchase regardless of how much it comes out at. (Here's hoping for 800 points)

$20 with $10 gaming coupon (or $15 with $5 coupon, or whatever) does not equal $10 for the disc.

There's a difference between a straight-up sale and getting a free coupon/gift card after buying the game at regular price.
There needs to be a Pinball FX2 table sale. I lack 5 tables at 200MSP each and I can't bring myself to buy them.
Could be worse, I have none of the tables. I really REALLY want this game too but my backlog is so massive I just can't bring myself to buy games unless they are on sale. I think Captain America table will have to be bought just to hold me over plus he's my favorite comic book super hero.

Popcap again?? I already have PvZ and Peggle, I'm not interested in the rest of their games.

Why can't we have a Double Fine sale in celebration of the release of Trenched? Let's see...

Double Fine Sale
XBLA:
Stacking: 600 MSP
-Hobo King: 200 MSP
Costume Quest: 600 MSP

Games on Demand:
Psychonauts: 600 MSP

It'd be better if Brutal Legend was available on demand, but still, I'd love to pick up Stacking. I just want to wait on a sale.
As an FYI, I have a final tomorrow from 10-1 and then I have go visit family, so the OP will be updated later on in the day
Best of luck, I totally bombed mine today lol.

Hmm, anyone purchased the Burnout: Paradise - Big Surf Island for 320 Microsoft Points. Or the Forza 3: Exotic Car Pack for 200 Microsoft Points. I'm wondering if they're worth buying?...:whistle2:k

I just got Big Surf Island and think its worth it. There's lots of decent jumps on the island and straightaways to build up speed, its a new area to explore, going back and forth over the bridge is just plain fun if going at top speeds and driving the new vehicle is pretty fun.

I can second this. I bought the Island awhile ago and it's a lot of fun and full of amazing jumps.

So the SS pack for NFS: HP is 80 points more than 1 car normally? I think I might go ahead and pick them up unless anyone thinks they might drop in price later on? Haven't bought DLC for a NFS game in a long time-if ever.

EDIT: Just looked up NFS and those DLC's include achievements. Sold. Assuming that M$ will still sell them to me at the discount. The website and my xbox are not cooperating. Should have thought about achievement possibilities sooner. Oh well.

Is there a problem with Xbox? My account says my points balance and online safety are unavailable. I hope this is just them resetting everything for the week and I'm stuck in limbo...

EDIT 2: Both seem to be functioning again and I was able to snag both NFS: HP DLCs. Still kinda steep but I can't 100% a game without all the DLC so I might as well get it while it's on sale. Hopefully the other 2(?) will go on sale as well by the time I actually get the game.
