And I am happy! This and Radiant Silvergun, blind purchased for full price. All that is needed now is Silhouette Mirage to complete the awesome Treasure titles I loved so much on the Saturn. (hopefully the original SS version, because on localization to the US, Working Designs tend to mess with the balance and pacing of the games they localize, i can think of a couple cases not for the better like Silhouette Mirage)

I keep saying I will edit my posts when I get home because typing on an iPod is not for me but work tires me yet is the lifeblood of my CAGness ... otherwise I would have taken today off for Guardian Heroes :)

I want to play all of Treasure's games, but from the research I've done, Working Designs really screwed up the US/PS1 version of Silhouette Mirage.

Also, WTF at the opening video. It's super small. Even on my 32" HDTV, it was kind of hard to see. Nevertheless, I look forward to playing this and getting the avatar awards and achievements.
 
Certain games get bought day 1.... my CAG-ness doesn't even come into play.

Most important criteria is that said title is not put on the backlog and played immediately - Treasure has gotten me twice in less than a month!
 
With the Crimson Alliance DLC coming out today and Batman next week, I think I can hold out on Guardian Heroes. Although being a Treasure game means 1) It'll be awesome and 2) It's likely to not go on sale. ever.

Yes. Confirmed online multiplayer which will be coming out October 26th in the US and UK for 800 points....interested since I never played the original Daytona back in 93
 
I love old-school arcade-y racing games, so I'll be checking it out at some point, but 400 points seems like a more appropriate price for a straight port of a 1993 game.
 
Absolutely going to try this Guardian Heroes demo because of all the praise it's getting here if I can pry myself away from Gears 3 or Dark Souls.

Completely Off Topic, but has anyone else noticed the awful full orange bar they're starting to put on top of Arcade games? WHY? I thought they looked really classy before with the Arcade in grey and the small orange bar along the top. Now they look tacky as hell.
 
Tried the guardian heros demo and was pleasantly surprised at the depth of the character movesets and 3 rows of 2d action?

Seems like a very deep beat em up that might be closer to a 2d fighting game. Not bad! Definitely going on my to buy when on sale list.

I thought that was weird & meant it was a special kind of XBLA game. Guess they made it orange to make it stand out more from retail games & their white bars. But considering none of the older XBLA games have this, it kind of makes it confusing.

And the Kinect Arcade games are PURPLE!

It's their new attempt at branding, just like the changing the tops of games last year as well. They're just behind on digital, obviously.

Are we getting two weeks DOTW info at a time from now on? I need a sale on Scott Pilgrim, as I missed out on it last time.

EDIT: So the Crimson Alliance add-on is two maps and one challenge map for 240 pts? I like the game, even if the in-game gold purchase ability makes me want to throw up. Anyone played the map pack or have a review for it? I can't find anything and 240 pts is alot for what I am guessing amounts to 30-45 minutes of play.

Thanks to this thread, I was able to snag Outland and Shadow Complex for much better prices. Am I the only one hoping that the Severed DLC for Dead Space 2 will be discounted by at least 50% at the end of the month? Because...you know...it emulates the Halloween spirit, right? :lol:

:lol: I was thinking the same exact thing. A horror themed DOTW would kick ass with DS 2, maybe COD BO zombies, and hell BOTH L4D 2 dlc ( I own both so it doesnt matter to me).

The GoD price MUST match the MSRP of the game as it is in brick and mortar stores. That's Microsoft's way of not pissing off the retailers. If you found a store that still had a new copy, it would be $30 unless it was on clearance.

There are games like Tales of Vesperia, NFS: Most Wanted, and others that are $10-$15 cheaper as a download than even the used price at Gamestop.

I believe some of the updates are Kinect related, so they would want that thoroughly tested. But I would also guess that they want a variety of user-types.

Nothing that I've seen. There wasn't one for the NXE beta.

Yeah, but the Spring update this year "everyone" got a copy of Halo Reach. So was curious if a bone would once again be thrown.

Though I'll admit crazy excited for cloud saving finally.

That was because part of the update had to do with how content was stored on the disc, or something along those lines. Not to be all raining on your parade and shit :)

I'm happy just to have the update early since the servers get hammered on public release day.

I Think I got all the games I want for the most part in anycase.

Though like I said, cloud saving alone will be worth it and a non half assed Kinect menu.

If it'll make you feel better, we can start a rumor that beta testers are getting their choice of any 5 games, including ones that aren't released yet.

I participated in the NXE Beta Program last fall (for the current design) and I didn't (and still do not) own a Kinect. Fill out the application - you may still be picked!
 
The creation of Guardian Heroes 2 is officially contingent on Guardian Heroes XBLA selling well, so please do buy immediately if you like the game and can afford to do so.
 
For all you Guardian Heroes people on the edge (or wanting to support it), they've stated that a sequel is possible based on sales of the XBLA version (Sin & Punishment, another of their games, got a sequel due to the sales from the Virtual Console).

I'm seriously digging all these Sega re-releases lately. Radiant Silvergun, Space Channel 5 Part 2, Guardian Heroes, Daytona USA.
 
it will get a sequel. I never played GH back in the day, but it seemed like I would be hooked for hours playing it. without hesitation I would pick it up if it went on sale, but 800 is not my price, with batman dlc coming in and possible dotw's.

Sounds like a good excuse to buy it tonight. I'd love to see what they could do with a sequel. It's not like I don't have the points to throw around anyway-11k on my account and about 15k more sitting in my desk drawer waiting to be used.

Damn!! how did you stock up on so many points? If I had that many points I would have 150+ arcade games, hell I would need a 250 GB harddrive and maybe a 120 GB one just to store all the things I would buy.

Sweet! Will probably be the first XBLA game I have bought at launch. I love Daytona USA!!!
 
Treasure is an uneven developer and S&P2 really failed to capture anything close to the magic of the original despite being of decent enough, but forgettable quality. Hell, GH always felt heavy on the gimmick craziness, more like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 than a proper brawler, in more ways than one. I've been looking forward to it but I'll hold off my buy until I sink my teeth into the demo.
