ZUNE and your X360 - ZUNE HD Now in 64GB - Latest Update Now Supports AVI/XviD
Rock, did he have them all correctly tagged via ID3?

Zune gets weird sometimes when it comes to song info. Have him change the settings so Zune doesn't get any missing information for songs if he has them tagged the way he likes.\

I just use http://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html whenever I download something.
agreed, itunes is not conventional when it comes to organization, tagging, and art.

I uninstalled/re-installed and still not showing up my albums :wall:

Did you try resetting your monitored folders ? Try deleting your monitored folder list completely, shutting down the program, relaunch and then readd the folders.

They had that on Joystiq, its PGR: Ferrari Edition, most likely a new version all set up for controlling the car with the accelerometer of the device. Vans Sk8 as well. Would have liked to see a bit more here, will wait on purchase until they get Uno lol.

Did you read the TOS???

Mp3tag v2.44 cannot be used in a military domain or in a similar domain (Weapon creation, armament, etc.).

Welp, I can't use this :(

I reset one when I tried it. I'll do the whole thing a bit later see what happens.

Heads up to anyone with a second gen Zune. Target is blowing out a majority of the accessories. I picked up the belkin clear case for the 4/8gb for $4.98. They had all of the AV packs (the official ones) as well as the ac adapters and car chargers for very cheap as well.

Gonna have to look to see if they have a car charger. Thanks

Here's an annoying situation...

I got one album that doesn't wanna tag right. It's tagged correctly on my software, but, on my device...it's still all out of wack!

I even removed the folder and tried to sync and it still won't physically remove itself from my zune

Cot damn! I can't stand how the zune tags shit. Got like 5 albums for 1 album

Would love a charger and FM tuner, wish I would've seen that woot off a month or two ago. I have one of those USB things, but I couldn't get it to charge my Zune for some reason. Target has a Griffin universal one that specifically mentions that it works with Zune on the cover, I've been waiting for them to blow that out. If they still carry it and they blow it out, I'm all over it.

So, I never really cared about the Zune Pass thing before, but since upgrading to the new software, I decided to try out the free 14 day trial. I've got to say, this thing rocks. In the past 30 minutes I've downloaded over 30 CD's and I'm still getting more. I know all of this stuff can be found for free elsewhere, but its nice having it all right here. Not to mention the ability to discover new stuff with the Smart DJ and just immediately download it on the spot.

I think I may have to shell out the $180 or so for a full year.
I just read that there are Advertisements when an app is loading.

Is this true?
Don't know if you read it in the Cnet review or not, but it is mentioned there:

"One item that bears mentioning: Microsoft is sticking interstitial ads on the player when you load applications. It's a bit jarring and a bit off-putting to see an advertisement on your device when you're trying to get into an app, and we think the company may want to investigate some other options here -- it just feels sleazy."

That is fucking lame as hell, and almost single-handedly makes me change my mind on eventually getting one of these just based on general principle. Enough already.

They did the same thing with games on the original Zune (The Lips ad). I don't mind since the games and apps are free currently, but if they do this with paid content, then there is certainly a problem. Although I heard that game and app loading times aren't ideal, so this is a likely cause of that, which is pretty weak.

As Kane mentioned, CNET's full review is up:

http://reviews.cnet.com/mp3-players/zune-hd-32gb-platinum/4505-6490_7-33665869.html

I think the 15% off at Dell deal is dead. I was going to place an order there now that all the reviews are in, and just cancel it if it took way too long to ship, but looks like it's no good now.

When you play games on the old Zunes it still shows an advertisement for Lips, which I find pretty funny since that game didn't exactly come out last week.

i still can't sign in to zune marketplace and nothing shows up in any of the sections. I tried reinstalling it. ive accepted the terms of service. i cant think of anything else.

Just read IGN's Zune HD's First 7 Games write up and man this guy slams them hard, you have to wonder if it was the ads that put him off lol. He actually said they are overpriced for being free games, "Even at free, none of these seven games are worth your time." Wow, I don't even think he wanted to do this article lol.

Aren't there apps in the apple store that do the same thing? My girlfriend has a college football app on her ipod touch that was "free" and she has to watch some sort of ad every time she opens it.

Anyone want to comment on the browser speed? Could be a deal breaker for me. I really just want to compare it to a first gen iPod touch. It basically beats the touch in every category except apps so far so I would like to know about the browser. Thanks.

I went to a BB today and the Zune on display wasn't even able to be turned on.
I actually asked 2 different workers how I'm supposed to check the thing out when they don't even have it working.
They claimed that it stopped working after a couple days.
I've been to 2 BB's to look at one. The other location had one that hadn't been synced yet, so it didn't work.

So... I always hate when people repeat questions but... I really am curious.

How is the HD Radio on this thing? I'm on the fence about buying one, but the display units I see at the local Best Buy aren't on. I lack any kind of HD Radio at the moment, and a number of stations in my area have HD sub-channels and such.

... I know it isn't a huge selling point for most people, so I understand if no one has any opinions or thoughts on it. Just figured I'd try asking again.

'Works and sounds good' helps a lot, as an opinion.

Specifically:

Can you use the Zune as a HD receiver when it is in a dock? In that way could I use it to pipe HD Radio to my home AV AMP.

Does it allow tagging of songs off HD Radio for purchase later?

i can answer #2 right now. yes.

a little shopping cart appears on screen when a buyable track is playing.

as for the dock - i am sure it does. you can play everything else while docked. i can confirm tonight if you like, i have a v2 dock.

well, it looks like it will not work with the v2 dock. the headphone jack is on the bottom, so you have no antenna connection when docked.

the only difference may be if ms planned some sort of connection with the v3 dock. i do not have one so i can't test this out. if they didn't plan for it, that quite an oversight, imo.

edit: found this...
http://www.zunescene.com/zune-hd-dock/

apparently the v3 dock does have provisions for the hd radio.
So...now for the million dollar question........ Does this new Zune play Digital Copies from DVD's/BR's discs!?!?!?

I am interested in this also, or a PM towards a workaround would be acceptable if it still doesn't work OFFICIALLY.
Anyone know where I can find a good zune dock for the old zune with good speakers for a good price?
Target is selling them at 50% off (clearance).
YMMV. Good luck.
