Thanks for this. I signed up while I was getting something in addition to my game.
I was very torn because I despise shopping at BB (especially this location). They have been informed of an incorrect price and they couldn't get it corrected over a 6 week period. BB is on my "I shop there...
Haven't been around much (moved houses this summer). Now I have a great Lego building space. Just saw the Halloween and Christmas seasonal sets the the cardboard arches. Not impressed when compared to the Valentines bear and the Easter rabbit.
I agree a fun build. It is kind of fragile though.
Birthday for my daughter. She scored tons of Friends sets from her friends and now she has got some serious building to do. She built the high school today (that one was from us). She was super happy with all the sets she got especially...
My Walmart had a sign saying that minifigs were mispriced in the ad and that the Simpsons minifigs were the replacement. Of course no minifigs, Simpsons or Movie, were on the shelf. They did have some Mixels though.
I folded. I am weak! To keep it LEGO related, the Fire Emergency is really well done. It was probably over priced at MSRP, but can be had for a decent price on AWD.
I know. I have sworn off watching. Over the last couple of years every game I have watched they lost. Typically after blowing a decent lead. I can't jinx it now!
My wife and daughter are camping this weekend, so I'm having a boys weekend with my son. We are working on chipping away at the backlog. I get AWD and damaged boxed LEGO sets for times like this. The discounted price for a damaged box (kids couldn't care less) makes it much more affordable.
To find the deals on AWD, it requires checking back often, knowing what you want, and being ready to instantly pull the trigger. You do have to be careful though because not everything on there is a deal (sometimes listed higher than MSRP).
Green Giant If I'm at the Store I will look to see what they have. If I come across anything that you want I can pick up. No promises but I will see what I can do.
Have gotten a couple of the SW mini fighters. They did a really good job with these. They are robust for kids to play with and relatively easy builds. The pricing is pretty good too considering they have a minifig plus roughly 100 bricks for $10.
I usually keep my stuff together too. I do want to try out the google chrome lego creation program. There is a haunted house on Eurobrick that has given me some inspiration. Use the MF haunted house as a base then modify from there. I have been playing around a bit with some ideas from that.
