I would be careful doing that in the future, Im pretty sure theres nothing stopping him from disputing the payment and getting his money back like that. Through craigslist you have no protection as a seller.

It wouldve been easier to use chalk and a colored pencil, similar to how people try to make their id's into 21 id's. Is it really worth all that effort though. Im happy to have gotten 100$ between me and my family members id's.

I mentioned earlier, I successfully did it with my school id and with my drivers license, just at two seperate radio shacks

It definitely goes by driver license id, however, if you have a college id and a cashier inputs it into the drivers id column you get another round. I also went to two seperate radioshacks that one permitted putting the balance on a gift card, and using the giftcard to redeem amazon credit.

 I believe they check the serial numbers when you return a game console, because I remember back in the day with the banned xbox 360s, people were swapping the interals of banned xboxs into the store bought case with the correct serial number.

I saw that ad minutes after posting, It was so cliche I didnt even bother trying to contact the person. Right before that I picked up, a n64 and 37 games with some solid titles for 75 bucks, right in, levittown my own backyard. Otherwise, coming across a good deal on LI and NYC is rare for me...
