Japanese Niche Games Deals Thread: Atlus, NISA, Aksys, XSeed and More!

My order is "Preparing for Shipment" with an estimated delivery of August 28. Yay! Also noticed that I actually got a confirmation email somewhere around 3:45 AM, quite a while after the order. Seems like Amazon is shipping these out since my 1-click was set to Prime 2 Day, and I doubt Idea...

All this fussing over the soundtrack makes me chuckle a little, as it reminded me that it's been about 11 years ago now when I purchased the 4-disc boxed set Cowboy Bebop soundtrack from a local import shop. Still have it on my shelf, actually. I should give it another listen (the live tracks...

That's a real bummer and a pretty big oversight. Especially when it was listed at more than one place. Noticed the missing extras earlier when I got my LE in the mail. *sigh* Oh well, not much I can do about it now.

That's a fair price assuming you want to watch it relatively soon-ish. If you're in no rush, it will more than likely dip below $20 in the next couple of months (if Heaven's Lost Property's price is anything to go by, plus holiday sales, etc).

Don't get me wrong, I am watching the DEEN version for purely academic reasons. I am right there with everyone else who is excited for the Ufotable FSN. I usually follow this line of thinking for consumption of media (especially anime & video games), except when it comes to purchasing...

I say just get Eureka Seven and skip (old) F/SN altogether (or dive right into Fate/Zero since it's a prequel anyway). That way you can go into the new Fate Stay Night fresh.

Speaking of Fate Stay Night, I've been watching the Studio DEEN version and it's so bad it's actually good (watching the dubbed version for maximum cringe). From the awkward localization to the super inconsistent animation, I can't help but laugh every once in a while during an episode (just...

Japanese Niche Games Deals Thread: Atlus, NISA, Aksys, XSeed and More!

Not really, it's just that people get confused because when you redeem the code you get the DLC for both versions and if you download both of them the game gets confused and errors out. As I recall, if you let the title scroll in the little window before downloading, you can figure out which is...

Japanese Niche Games Deals Thread: Atlus, NISA, Aksys, XSeed and More!

Yeah, but Spectral Force 3 had much lower texture resolution and much lower poly-counts for the characters. This game doesn't look nearly as bad, graphics-wise. :-P -- Watching some gameplay videos, it doesn't scream "buy it day one" to me. Also, I must have missed in somewhere but this is...

Ah, I see. Still weird to have a placeholder date so near the actual date. Kinda nice, though, since now I can buy Trails in the Sky on Steam and not have to worry about getting another XSEED game a week later.

Speaking of Akiba's Trip, why was the game pushed back a week? Just noticed that and seemed odd.

Tears to Tiara II is a PS3 game, for those wondering. Also, I'm pretty sure NISA is publishing the game in Europe, which is why they are mentioned in the article (they've recently started publishing Atlus games over there).

I finished Psycho Pass recently and liked it a lot. The dub was quite good as well (if that matters to you). Some good Philip K Dick-style sci-fi that you don't get enough of in anime these days. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a darker show to watch.

Does the PS4 version share trophies with the other versions? Does it have cross-save? I'm more likely going to keep my Vita copy because I'd rather play it sooner than later. A NG+ run through the PS4 version would be cool.

So $59.99 after GCU for Samurai Warriors 4? Sold! As far as Akiba's Trip on PS4, now I am legitimately reconsidering my Vita preorder. I'm not exactly in any rush to play it, though I do love adding games to my retail Vita collection.

Wow, surprised how quickly that sold out (glad I ordered mine already). Is the artbox a limited-run item?
